This campsite has been one of the best we’ve experienced through Hipcamp! There was tons of room for our pups to run, and we had the place entirely to ourselves. Todd was super great and met us at the campsite to give us more details about the property, which was much appreciated! And added bonus, the campsite had an outhouse/porta-potty!! Overall great experience and we’re looking forward to coming back soon!

Todd was awesome! He met us at the campsite and gave us a full walkthrough of the property and what to expect. The place itself is absolutely STUNNING. We went on a Sunday night and had the entire spot to ourselves, which made it feel even more special.
There was plenty of firewood ready to use, multiple fire rings, and even a porta potty which made things super convenient. The property has streams and tons of beautiful areas to wander and explore, which our dogs absolutely loved.
Couldn’t have asked for a better camping experience! We will definitely be coming back! 🌲🔥🐾

Really cool spot. Enough room for my entire family tree— would be a fun place to go with a large group. If you are planning to fish I would go in the spring, water level was very low and they only stock once a year so not much of a bite. Lots of 3-4 inchers on the fly though.
Todd was great and met us there to show us around the site.

TLDR: Todd is a great host, and the land is immaculate. The free firewood was a great benefit. It is extremely peaceful and feels safe, even for a solo camper.
When I got there, Todd treated me well. He is a great guy and showed me around the property before sending me on my way. Other than the occasional car passing on the private dirt road nearby, nobody came by.
The land is amazing, expect bugs and other creatures since it is on a creek, but it was way better than I was expecting. The sites themselves are amazing and you get to choose any site in your area. It is recommended that you have a 4WD car, since it is borderline off-roading.
The free firewood was very nice and there was enough to last a good long time, even for a group. I would recommend still bringing your own though if it has rained recently, since the wood is out in the open.
I am a solo camper and this spot felt very peaceful, safe, and there was plenty to do. Also, the roads are really cool around this area. :)
Overall I highly recommend!

Todd was very helpful and complete with his walkthrough/instructions. Site was spacious and scenic. No toilet facility at Main Bridge, so be prepared for that. Todd provided plenty of firewood and fire ring. There are three levels spots at main bridge large enough for a pop-up, so you can situate to suit yourself. Very pleasant stay.

My dog and I loved Trout Camp. It was easy to find despite being offline once turning into the valley. No reception at camp which was fine by me!
Todd was a great host- very friendly and informative and met us on arrival. There are actually several spots to set up camp, each with their own fire pit. I spent one night in the pines and the second in the clearing and both were lovely! Nothing beats falling asleep to the sound of the creek:)
I felt very safe at this site and loved being able to let my dog off leash. The way the creek flows around the land gave him plenty of room to explore while also providing a nice barrier to the many deer he spotted in the fields across the water.
We had a blast and would love to return again. Thanks Todd for sharing your beautiful land!!

Todd was an excellent host. He greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the property. He also told us a lot about the area and things to do. The property is amazing! Beautiful trail, a river and creek, which is deep enough to swim in. We brought our rafts and floated in the river part. It was nice and relaxing. My husband and I will defiantly be back!

Great spot- you could either book with one family and have a huge secluded spot or bring a whole crew of friends. The river was awesome and when we went, it was pretty low so there were a few swimming holes! We will for sure be back!

Where to go
Presque Isle State Park
If there’s one must-see in Erie, PA, it’s Presque Isle State Park.
