Welcome to Holistic Life Farm! We are a working homestead and delight in sharing our daily experience and offer visits with our sheep, cows and chickens. Holistic Life Farm offers a 1 dry tent site for up to 12 people, a quaint hideaway cabin, and a glamped out 16x20 canvas tent with a wood stove. We also offer 1 RV site in our parking area. Stop on your way to Astoria and the coast and make this your destination. Find us about 30 minutes off I-5 freeway across the Longview bridge or 45 minutes east of Astoria. Our farm sits about 5 miles off Highway 30 to the north. We can direct you to hiking and mountain biking trails in the area (Beaver Falls trailhead is 5 miles from our farm). There is a motor boat launch in the town of Clatskanie, with access to Columbia River. There is also a launch in the city park for kayaking. The Zen Monastery is just 5 miles away. Long Beach, WA is across the Columbia River via the Astoria Bridge. Lounging about the homestead works too.

We hope you will come enjoy the refreshing privacy and quiet of camping on our beautiful, small-scale, organic farm. This is a great place to get away from the scattered urgency of modern life. We want you to reconnect with what matters most and get some new inspiration! We are 25 minutes west of I-5, halfway between Seattle and Portland. Pacific Ocean beaches are 1.5 hours away. Our guests love the near-by swimming hole, shared fire areas, fresh produce and clean outhouses. Meeting the farm animals, napping in the hammocks, mastering the rope swing and wandering the many paths are also memory-makers. Some of our "extras" -- Farm Tours, Propane Firebowls, Saunas, and more -- are available for purchase when you make your booking. ALL SITES have flat tent spots, a picnic table, hammock, sun, shade, outhouse access and room to park. Sites are 300 feet apart, on average. Tucked Away Retreat evolved from empty acreage to an easy retreat from the city and an opportunity to share our love of the rural life. Located in the Chapman area of Scappoose, this area is rich in logging history; the Crown Zellerbach trail is an old logging road and now an 18 mile hiking/biking "story board" of the life and culture of both the Native American Indians that lived in the area and the evolution of logging. Just over the peak of the CZ trail (which is approximately 3 miles from our property) is an old mine, just one example of many hidden areas to explore. Our retreat is just 45 minutes from Portland, yet feels a world away. You can relax in the quiet or explore the trail, the small towns that dot Highway 30 or head to the river. If you continue West on Highway 30, you will pass through many small logging towns, the old Trojan Nuclear site and eventually land in Astoria on the coast. Learn more about this land: Tucked Away Retreat is quiet and peaceful yet 45 minutes from Portland. Located on 4 private acres, watch the deer wander through the property or the hawks float overhead. Bring your bikes and hit the Crown Zellerbach trail, or hike it instead. We are located approximately 0.8 mile from the trail. Visit Sauvie's Island, the largest inland island in the United States. Paddle or kayak on Scappoose Bay, head up to the Trojan frisbee-golf course, or just relax on the lawn. We are also an easy drive from Vernonia, the Nehalem River and Big Eddy Park. We offer two sites; Site A is on flat gravel that enjoys full sun. Site A is across from the large grassy area, perfect for sunning and relaxing. Site B is on gravel on the upper drive and is shaded most of the day. Site B is best suited for camper vans, truck campers or small trailers due to trees along the back curve of the driveway. Large trailers/RV's and motorhomes will fit in Site B but you may need to back in. Site B is backed by our private, small shop. The two sites are separated by trees. Both sites have 120v, 30amp and water hookups. The property can accommodate one or two additional RV's in spots adjacent to both sites for multiple vehicle groups; contact us for more information if you are a larger group. Additional vehicles are an extra charge. Please be aware that we are RV only, we have no outhouse, so we cannot accommodate tents or folks who want to sleep in their vehicle. We will consider an exception if you have a RV/trailer and kids who want to sleep in a tent. Please reach out to us prior to booking for this exception. We do not allow "shower" tents. Also please note that there is no cell service once you leave Highway 30; you have to have WiFi calling capabilities to use your cell phone. These sites are on our private property. For Site A, you may position your RV to view the grassy area and not the house.

Welcome to Otter Pond! Our property is on the Toutle river. We are 30 miles from Mt St Helens Forest learning center and 15 minutes to Silverlake. Lots of hiking nearby, motorcycle track, drag strip and drift car track. Or just relax with the birds, deer, eagles, ducks, geese, rabbits, neighboring cows, beavers and otters that pass through now and then. You have acres to enjoy! Like your own mini campground. Half of our acreage is across the river-summertime is a great time to cross and explore! You can even walk up river and tube down. 1,000 feet of riverfront, a pond, horse shoe pit, charcoal grill, and 3 different fire pits for you to explore. If you rent the trailer and are over 6'1 you wont be a happy camper! You will enjoy bugs, snakes, spiders, deer, otters, beavers, mice, bees, chickens (including a loud rooster name Jack) We live on the neighboring property, but respect your privacy. We look forward to sharing our space with you! There is a pond and river with a slippery bank full of rocks on this property. The river is a short 5 minute walk. Tennis shoes/river shoes highly advised. Please note we are 10 miles from the nearest food/gas services. Please plan accordingly. Cell service is best with AT&T, but we do have WIFI. Well house is open and has some outside games, a couple of life jackets, cooler, and misc things for you to use. Please leave the light on.

Absolutely perfect. The upper area for our trailer was level and easy to maneuver. The lower area was like off-leash heaven for our dogs. We didn't see another human the entire time. Extremely relaxing, and the hosts set up several areas to enjoy. 100% recommend this spot!

My son and I went camping at Site 5. There was a bouquet of flowers on the table, drinking water, and rinse water provided. My son loved the hammock. Fire wood was provided and we had great campfires. We took the farm tour and loved it. We also went to the swimming hole that directions were provided for and had a great time. Galilee and Brent spent some time with us, and Brent showed my son the cool swings that went way out around the tree and helped catch him. We loved it experience and look forward to going back next year!

Very private spot and very quiet. Big area to maneuver our travel trailer. Hook ups were a plus, adapters were provided and easily accessible. We enjoyed the view of the river from the upper site and also close up down right next to it. Trish was very responsive. We will go again when we can. We plan to bring our daughters and let them stay in the on-site trailer. it would be a great place for a family gathering.

Our stay at Trish’ was so relaxing , beautiful, fun, and enjoyable! She was the ultimate host! We had complete privacy, and she welcomed us warmly when we asked if we could visit with her at her nearby home. She left eggs, butter, firestarters, and snacks for us in her beautiful, completely renovated trailer! We camped in our own RV; she had full hook-ups for us! We floated down the river, then hung out in the water for several hours. We stayed cool in the 90 degree heat (there was a heat wave in Washington while we visited). This campsite was pristine, had a great view, and had wonderful outside seating, and a cool fire pit. We’ll be back!

We loved Galilee and Brent’s farm! We spent two nights with two adults and two kids (5 and 8). We had a beautiful, flat spot in the shade with drinking water and washing water already prepped for us with a very cute bouquet of flowers. We had a great time learning about the different things growing on the farm, playing bocce ball, trying out the rope swing, and hanging around the group camp fire. We can’t wait to come visit again!

6 nights at Otter Pond Riverfront Getaway

Best HipCamp Ever! We stayed for almost a week and it was wonderful. Our rig is a 26' travel trailer and we fit perfectly. We had friends join us for a couple days and stay in the vintage trailer on the property. It was an ideal situation. We work from the road and used Starlink while on the property and it worked awesome. No issues at all. Trish and Kary are the best hosts and don't miss a single detail. We can't wait to return in the future!

Galilee, Brett, and Flint (the camp dog) were so welcoming! Our picnic table with fresh wildflowers was the perfect sight for weary eyes. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the farm, as well as the campfire with neighboring campers. The campsites were so far apart, we hardly heard the kids in other sites. The tent pads tucked into the trees further lent a sense of seclusion. Even better, the tent pads were leveled with fine bark chips, which is the perfect cushion for tent camping. The fresh water at our sites and dry firewood meant we had less to pack in our car. We enjoyed walking the trails that Brett kept well groomed. Galilee's fresh produce was delightful. We will be returning again soon!

Galilee & Brett are warm and welcoming hosts. They’re incredibly thoughtful and go above and beyond. Our group of 4 year olds loved the farm tour. Galilee allowed them to help dig new potatoes, hold Ginger the bunny, feed the pig, and sheep. There’s a lot of wide open space for kids to roam without restrictions. We plan to go back annually. 💜

Its our first time to camp here because of what ive read about the excellent reviews, and we got to experience the exceptional place of Galilee and Bret, both of them were so helpful and kind and even show us how to do the tarzan swing, the view was amazing and peaceful. There were alot of activities to do there and the garden was really beautiful, would recommend and absolutely going back again. 10/10

What a special place! Galilee and Brett are amazing hosts and such lovely people to get to chat with. We went with 4 four-year olds and 5 adults. We were in awe the entire time. The farm tour was very interesting and fun, and it was great for our kids to get to unwind and explore nature. The farm stand and every other treat we tried was spectacular — of particular note, fresh cherry pies! We’ll definitely be hoping for a return visit.

This was such a a lovely little getaway. The campsite had the perfect amount of shade on a very warm day. I highly recommend taking the garden tour with Galilee, you'll learn all what's currently growing. We really enjoyed getting to know all the animals and eating yummy berries we hand picked. This was truly a piece of heaven. Thank you Galilee and Brett for sharing your beautiful farm with us. We can't wait to come back!
