There are level access and pull through camp sites along the Burlingame Canal and the South fork of the Little Walla Walla river (a creek). Enjoy nature here on the Old Oregon trail in the form of beaver ponds, coyote song, deer trails, bird watching and star gazing - just a half mile from the historic Whitman Mission.
Park on the partial pavement (Mountain and Garden Sites) or drive gently on the grass to one of the well separated sites. Each site has its own picnic table and fire pit.
There is self service firewood for sale. Fresh eggs most days. Both available as an "extra" on the app. ($10, $5)
Orchard Site and Park Site are shady and cool on the north side of the drive. Park is nestled in the trees next to the barn. Orchard site has mature trees for both shade and sunshine. Park site has it's own water spigot and is within reach of a 110amp electrical outlet with your extension cord. No A/C or high amp use please.
Mountain Site and Garden site are both situated along the Burlingame Canal, a historic waterway and engineering marvel worth googling. Both have an unobstructed east facing view of farmland and the Blue Mountains - perfect for full moons and sunrises. These two sites are generally in the shade around dinner time. Phil’s place was the perfect spot for us on a recent fall trip to Walla Walla. The location was quiet and peaceful but very convenient for wine tasting in the west district and a short drive to town. Phil gave great recommendations. He and Oso were wonderful hosts. Would 100% recommend!

It is a quiet and peaceful farm. The Host is very kind and personable. Enjoyed the chats and the animals could always put a smile on your face as you were coming and going, and with this great park setting, having the Blue Mountains finishing out the picture; Perfect! . I will be back!!

This site is great for boon-docking on solar power, while enjoying great views of the Wallowa Mountains and surrounding farm/ranch land in relative privacy. Graveled Tucker Down Road runs on the west side of the sites, separated by a small creek, deciduous trees, and wild shrubs & flowers. The road gets a fair amount of ranch and farm traffic, but the trees do knock down most of the dust. While the site is flat, be ready for ann uneven surface with lots of tall grass, clover, & thistles. We were happy to be able to light our Howl propane fire pit for an evening under the stars. The site location is convenient with a short 5 minute drive to Joseph and just a 15 minute drive to Wallowa Lake & the Tramway. I can understand comments about the $75 per night being steep since there are no hookups but for us it was worth it.

Phil’s camp spot is fabulous!! Beautiful views, a gracious host and he offered us seasonal vegetables during our visit!! Also, Oso is the best pet host ever! If we go to Walla Walla again, we will definitely stay here!

2 nights at Glamp at the Evans Farm
What a wonderful place Grady Sr. and Kathleen have created on their beautiful farm. The Glamping tent was perfect for exploring the Joseph area.
The nights were quiet and the bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in. The outdoor shower was the perfect way to relax after a day on the trails. Very private and sitting on the front deck watching the sunsets over the mountains will be memorable.

Tranquility is absolutely the perfect description of Philip’s property. Beautiful surroundings, very quiet, and close to many amazing wineries. There was plenty of space for our 45 foot toy hauler, and the pups loved hanging out with Oso, the gentle giant. Philip was the perfect Hipcamp host and we would definitely return when we’re in the area again. Highly recommended!

A beautiful and quiet place to stay. We stayed at the Orchard site and the goats and donkey were a hoot to watch. We didn’t get to meet Erica, but she was super responsive when we were booking the site. We’ll definitely stay there again next time we’re passing through.
