Yaquina Bend camp can accommodate 6 campers in all. The camp is 2 acres along the Yaquina River headwaters in the coastal hills, surrounded by forest and valley praries.
The fire pit includes a grill and seats so no need to pack chairs. Beach access along the Yaquina River is great for swimming and innertubing in the summer. We have some advanced terrain please use the rope to assist you in getting into the water.

'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene.
All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock.
Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask!
UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024.
The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry.
Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower.
There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos.
The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away.
*Please note- if you do not respect our camp rules your visit will be flagged, hipcamp will be notified and you will be asked to pay 25% of your booking fee for cleanup costs.*

Weekend Trip to Royal Heart Hill
Exactly as described. So quiet and serene. A great place to just chill and enjoy the quiet.
Our neighbors were a stellar jay that was working hard at getting acorns off the oak, a couple of crows that dropped in now and again, and a red tailed hawk that announced her presence.
The provided tent is spacious and in great condition. Electricity available in the tent, so we brought a queen size inflatable mattress that we could inflate/deflate right inside.
Convenient access to water and compost toilet.
I didn’t have an opportunity to shower, but I could see it from the site.
The walk to the pond was nice.
Carly is a gracious host!
I would definitely stay again!

We only stayed for one night on our way through town, but the platform tent was super cozy in the rain. Seemed like a nice place to spend a few days. It was hard to find the campsite in the dark and rain, but Carly gave good directions. Just go slow and follow her directions exactly.

Peaceful getaway near I-5, great place to recharge on a road trip. The yurt was clean and charming with the twinkle lights and the land is beautiful. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler. I also really appreciate that they take compost!

Weekend Trip to Royal Heart Hill
It's incredible that this place is only 15min off of I-5. I have an AWD CRV and I had no issues driving down to the campsite (admittedly it was dry). There is a make shift table I could use for my camp stove and a composting toilet within the site (for #2 only folks). There are bins for trash, recycle, and compost and the rules are very clearly posted above these bins. I had cell service at the site, not that I needed it. The tent was lovely, easy to open and close and cozy inside. My twin air mattress fit very well, a queen size could've easily fit. Being in the middle of the woods was lovely and it was very quiet when I was there. I highly recommend.

This spot definitely was a gem! Very quiet and private :) the kids loved the room to run and play, especially in the river. We were able to use our paddle boards to explore. The outdoor kitchen was one of the best features. We brought our small RV and we were able to cook and do dishes outside, which is a plus because it can get quite crowded in the RV at times. The string lights were a great addition for the evening s'more time!

Very cute and secluded! It had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend. About a 10 minute drive from town and 20 minutes from cottage grove lake which was absolutely beautiful. The cute fairy lights were a lovely touch, and the fire pit is incredibly well built. There were buckets for trash/compost/recycling and there was also hand sanitizer, bug spray, and some poison oak/ivy scrub was in the shower in case you have an accident. Fire wood was plentiful and readily available!

We had a fantastic time at this spot! Everything was provided. I especially loved the teepee and bell tent. The provided cot was plenty cozy. The compost toilet was clean and kept up. It's right on a road, but very few cars came by in the four days we were there. The river was a great escape from the heat. I highly recommend this spot!

Hollie’s hip camp is well stocked in a beautiful area. The teepee and canvas tent held several cots to sleep on. The site was very clean and well thought out. The river is very clear about waste high in most areas, deep enough to float. Even though it is right off of the highway the traffic is very light and was not noisy. I would definitely recommend this site.

Comfy spot to stay on our roadtrip. We stayed on the platform site and it was nice not to have to set up the tent for a night! The other site where you would need your own tent looked nice as well. Nice hot outdoor shower was a huge plus, outhouses available as long as your cool with peeing outside they’re perfect. Plenty of privacy. The platform having electricity was also a plus for charging things! Be ware of poison oak(this area is full of it and they had a nice identification sheet in the showers along with soap incase of exposure) which i honestly wouldnt have thought much about with out seeing that! Super nice fire pit, comfy chairs, and firewood available as well. Very accommodating and comfy
