While the listing says "no wheel chair access" this is just for the camper because there are steps. If someone in your party has a wheelchair and would like to camp we can help you arrange the area for a tent or car camping for that individual but we do not have an accessible toilet other than an REI camp seat on bucket we can let you borrow if you promise to clean :) Our tiny house is on the same property as this camper. We have two gates so our guests have a private entrance with secure parking. There are two well behaved dogs, Figi and Kit and one cat, Riddle on the property. It is okay to have your well behaved dog off leash and a small camp fire most times of the year. We have an outdoor sitting area and BBQ. Small shower bath combo in the camper and in progress a dog washing station! Even though the photos illustrate the beauty and privacy to the West, we do hear some traffic to the East and the ground can be a bit muddy near the bay. We encourage guests to walk on the pathways vs the marsh which we are preserving if they head out to the sandy beach to clam or kayak. Other sports that could be fun would be kite surfing, or wet suit swimming.

We loved our stay here! Melissa and Dave were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Our dog loved playing with their two super sweet dogs, and there are few things nicer than walking right out to the water from the camper to have coffee or watch the sunset. The camper was cozy and warm, bed was comfy, and overall delightful place to stay.

Weekend Trip to Smith River Store & Tavern

Beautiful location on the Smith River with easy access drive-in site in my van. Each site had a picnic table. There is a small store with food items for sale but not much remained although my visit was at the end of the fishing season. Well stocked bar with plenty of brew selection. This Hip-camp is 15-20 minutes from Reedsport which is a good location for any needed business in the city of Reedsport. I will definitely stay here again when I visit the area.

Lovely large spot along the main Umpqua river. We enjoyed the swing, corn hole game, and horseshoes.

Great river location! Easy kayak launch and swimming hole. Lots of flat rock for chilling. As advertised, the tent sites are basic spots in a mowed field. Plenty of room to spread out and still have real estate between guests. The portapotty had been serviced. No complaints!

Perfect spot for a quick stop overnight, beautiful location. very well maintained property with so much charm. having the store & tavern is so convenient. Troy even served us fireside our dinner that we ordered… really lovely time. We were camped next to two other sets of campers and we really enjoyed sharing a fire with them. adding to our list of places to stop on the way up the 101. We went for a nice morning walk and watched the cows run through the foggy fields. Also saw an elk on the way in. Definitely recommended this place! if you are seeking a private campsite this may not be for you but if you are open to fireside chats make this a stop! also - we LOVED the dogs on the property, so incredibly sweet.

Really great place in the woods to pitch a tent or park your camper. We had a last minute change of plans and were able to book the night-of, so I really appreciated the flexibility with booking. I liked that each site has a picnic table. Troy is very nice and accommodating, would stay again!

Enjoyed tent camping at Tyee, we had some last minute changes from Brent, but he made it right and took care of us. Nice way to just relax and do nothing. Will be going back next camping season.
