TOM'S REST was created by Tom's wife Cheryl in an effort to carry out their plans to provide respite for those in need. Tom Edwards worked tirelessly for years to clear this wild recreation space where he planned to live while helping others. Tom suddenly and unexpectedly passed February 2, 2015 while in the process of making his move to Sisters with his High School sweetheart of 45 years. Cheryl continued his passion and their dream to make this a place for those in need as a way to honor the most giving man she ever knew. This process has brought some healing and it is our hope to continue that healing for others in need from life's many trials.
Anyone having a grief, widows/widowers, caregiver, cancer, hospice or other group that would like to have their group listed should message us as well. These respite visits are short getaways to refuel and support individuals during tough times.
Those that come to enjoy Tom's Rest will hopefully gain some needed respite. Most feel they are pretty much 'on their own' in this retreat area with the option for seclusion OR mingling if so desired.
My deepest thanks to all who have stood alongside through this journey and continue to do so. May we collectively create TOM'S REST with Tom's intention and the passion he infused in us to carry it through to fulfillment.

The 2 mile loop around the neighborhood is scenic and lush with irrigation during the summer months. The 2 fenced acres immediately north of the camping area are for your enjoyment. All of this and more, only 10 minutes from town.
Please note that while good separation exists between your accommodations and our primary residence, you should expect to see and hear us around the property on occasion. Lastly, we are at the far corner of a 2 mile gravel loop, making the drive into our property slow and dusty - and also private!

This place is beautiful, remote, and well equipped with power, water, and recycling. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. Cheryl communicated readily throughout the booking process and leading up to the stay. She gave great directions that were easy to follow. Dirt road would be passable for normal clearance vehicles. I did put my rig in 4-low on the way up the hill but probably didn’t need to.

Weekend Trip to Coyote Landing
I stayed here for the fairwell festival in Redmond and it was perfect for what we needed. The RV was clean and comfortable. The whole check in / check out process was smooth and the hosts were very quick and responsive. I would gladly stay here again.

Cheryl and her location, Tom’s Rest, are both absolutely magical. The peace you feel when you pull up is soul food. Cheryl will make you believe in humanity and Ardee (her adorable lab) will make you believe dogs are included in that humanity too. Our stay felt like home in all the best ways. This all sounds like an exaggeration, but I can promise you it’s not. Cheryl feels like everything good in this world. We didn’t want to leave, we wanted to spend more time with her, and we will most definitely be back. Thank you Cheryl!

The location was perfect for exploring the high Cascade lakes and the Sunriver areas. Great area for biking as it's very close to the Sunriver bike paths. Close access to the Deschutes river for water activities. The site itself in a quiet neighborhood and was clean and well maintained.

Wonderful stay! We needed a place to park with our RV (35 ft fifth wheel) while in the Bend area and Ryan was very helpful and responsive! Full hookups and a quiet place to stay are hard to obtain nowadays. We were worried navigating our way out but Ryan came over to help and it was a breeze. We would stay here again.

Coyote Landing is peaceful and spacious. We had plenty of privacy and room for our 35ft Skoolie. Our personal Starlink had no issues, and WiFi was also provided. Easy access to Bend, with full RV amenities including a washer and dryer. Definitely recommend this place if you want to visit Bend but still have some space to yourself.
