Pull up and let the vacation begin. The Lake Billy Chinook area has everything for the perfect camp trip. There is bike riding, boating, fishing, hiking, ATV riding, swimming, kayaking, lounging and enjoying nature.
When you arrive just park in your site. We have 30-amp service but no RV septic hookup. The site is gravel so you may need to level your rig.
We have a fantastic outdoor area complete with couch, loungers, BBQ and fire pit. The high desert offers some of the most amazing views of the Cascade Mountains with clear blue skies and some of the best star gazing around. Casa del Lago is a dark sky site. There is a fantastic view of Mount Jefferson from the couch and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful.
During the Summer we usually enjoy beautiful sunny days and cool comfortable nights. You can hang out down at the lake and find a spot on the beach to have a picnic. You can also bring your boat or rent one at the Cove Palisades Marina and enjoy water sports.
Hosts live in house on property. We are located 4 miles from the lake and are nestled in a rural country neighborhood.

Weekend Trip to Cozy Shop ADU
Cozy and comfortable! It was a great location for us with our trip consisting of climbing at Smith Rock State Park and mountain biking near Sisters for the weekend. There was a space heater in the corner that really performs and had no issues with temperature. One thing to note is that if you are travelling with gear (climbing and biking gear like us) there would not be enough space in the unit to bring equipment inside for the night, but we just locked up our bikes and car outside and felt very comfortable with that. The obvious highlight is Marla the cat! The most friendly and affectionate cat we have ever met. She was there to greet us at the door each morning and when we got back each night, and would cuddle on the patio chairs with us for breakfast. Definitely keeping this spot in mind for future adventures!

Weekend Trip to Cabin on the Rim
This cabin is amazing! So cozy, very comfortable, super cute, really well-equipped, and has the BEST sunrise views. We had a lovely weekend and would return in a heartbeat. Hosts were great to communicate with and everything exceeded our expectations.

I have stayed with my wife here before, I have also camped on the property a few times. It has become one of my favorite places to get away. It’s very stress free, Amanda is a wonderful host and the place is quite frankly, stunning. I enjoy places of silence and few people, and this has both. And the stars, you just can’t get them any better than here. Fantastic. BF

Weekend Trip to Casa Del lago 2 Lake Billy Chinook
Susan's place is phenomenal. It's a fantastic location right above Billy Chinook Lake. It has a sweet little cabin you can stay in and a tent site area complete with everything you could need for a weekend away. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Each area has outdoor lounging areas, propane fire pits, outdoor cooking areas complete with supplies, a lovely hot outdoor shower, and a cozy hot tub that's perfect for late night soaking and star gazing. She was the best host you could ask for, so friendly, helpful, and responsive.

Me, my partner, and our dog really enjoyed our stay at Cabin Del Courtyard. Susan is so communicative and thoughtful. We enjoyed all of the accommodations, especially the Nexgrill, hot tub (once it cooled down at night), and the fire pit. The hosts have really thought of everything that you need and prioritize their guests privacy. We would love to stay and visit the area again.

This stay exceeded any and all expectations I had. Susan truly thought of everything, and makes sure any needs you may have are met and pre meditated. The set up of the cabin is so cozy, and I love that the layout enables and encourages you to spend a lot of time outside as well. I would stay again in a heart beat.

We absolutely loved everything about our little stay including our amazing host Susan! I had mentioned my birthday being the reason for our trip, she had a birthday banner set up upon arrival! So cute & thoughtful!! The view of the mountain is incredible. The lil cabin is adorable and fully equipped with essentials such as towels, dishes pots & pans & more! Cleanest porta potty I have ever seen! We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Justesen Ranches
Great place, super clean. It also happens to be outside of Portland's horrible light pollution, giving fabulous Milky Way views. The biggest downsides are that there isn't an A/C (which is mentioned in the property's listing) and the outside floodlight does not have a switch accessible to turn it off. FYI - There is a taxidermied deer head on the wall, which is shown in the pics.
There are many wonderful things about this place - starting with the location. If you want to be away from people with great views of the sky then you will love this place. The kitchen is well stocked, the bathroom and shower are very clean. The queen bed isn't bad at all and the kitchen is well stocked. I imagine if all the bunks were filled with people it would be pretty snug in there. There is a small TV with Dish.
Finally Verizon cell service is bad inside the cabin, but outside we got a good 4G signal.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return.

2 nights at Cabin on the Rim
I would have packed my things and moved-in permanently if I could have. This little haven was the PERFECT off-grid dojo for my road trip through the high desert. Beautiful sunrises into the bedroom windows paint the three sisters and Mt. Hood a soft pink to the west, while sunsets and stars show up literally on your front porch. Not to mention a view of Smith Rock to the southeast. Incredible.
While this spot is perfect for a private camp out getaway, it isn’t for the faint-hearted or high-maintenance traveler. With no power or running water, you need to show up prepared. A solar shower hookup on the deck is provided, but NOT the shower itself. Just a hook on the wall and a little shower nook. There IS, however, a propane barbecue provided, which was a fantastic surprise.
I would HIGHLY recommend this little cabin as a break from desert camping to anyone looking for a bed, a roof, and a table for a few nights. Private, quiet, and incredibly beautiful, I will 100% be returning to the Cabin on the Rim.

We loved this little slice of solitude! Grill worked perfect to make steak dinner while it snowed then enjoy sharing our meal while we watched the view of birds snagging a meal before the snow stuck. Not to mention, nobody close by and nothing stopped the stars from glowing at night! Definitely want to come back for an early summer enjoyment. Close to so many beautiful places to adventure! Place was clean and welcoming, host was quick to respond and kind. Highly recommended!

2 nights at Cabin on the Rim
We had the most picture perfect stay at the cabin on the rim! The view is spectacular and private, the cabin was cozy, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the hosts are the absolute nicest people. We had an accident where we left a light on in the car overnight and killed the battery (was tired after the long drive and forgot to double check). The hosts came out to help jump the car and when it didn’t work the first time she called out her dad, a local rancher, who came and saved the day. Between the stunning landscape and the incredible kindness of the hosts, this place is 12/10 hands down my fav glamping spot I’ve ever stayed at!

Weekend Trip to Cabin on the Rim
Our stay at the Rim Cabin was an excellent, rejuvenating and grounding experience. The cabin's aesthetics are lovely, simple, and cozy. The spacious deck is amazing as is the surrounding terrain and view of the canyon. Nothing beats the night sky, quietness, and waking up to a flood of warm natural light through the various windows! It was the perfect glamping experience and we look forward to returning.
The hosts were communicative and accommodating for any questions/concerns that arose which was much appreciated!
