Located roughly 20 miles from Beaver Creek State Park, DLR Mustang Ranch is a 17-acre peaceful sanctuary for many wild and previously wild mustangs. The Ranch offers veteran and first responder mustang programs year-round. Please let us know if you are a veteran or first responder for a special rate.
Accommodations include a small one-room cabin nestled on a little pond a stone's throw from the main house and veteran program area. The cabin has electricity, a microwave, small refrigerator, tv, futon, heating and cooling; however, it does not have plumbing. Nearby is an outhouse with electricity and a water pump fed from well water. There is a firepit for cooking and picnic tables available. There is also a flat space for tent camping right beside the cabin area. The outhouse and firepit are shared between the cabin and tent campers. If you prefer a more secluded experience, please book both sites. There is space for an RV in the driveway next to the woods with electric hookup and access to the outhouse, water pump, and firepit.
While this is a working ranch with farm animals, our aim is to create a peaceful relaxing environment in order to unwind and enjoy the creation around us. Going in the pastures with horses while unaccompanied by the owners is prohibited; however, it can be arranged for you to meet and interact with the mustangs if interested. There are other farm animals including a sheep, a goat, pigs, donkeys, peacocks, turkeys, chickens, ducks and barn cats on the premises. If you want a quaint country escape complete with farm sounds, this is the spot for you!

Nestled in the hills of Monroe County, Ohio, Sparkman Lake (approx. 3 acres) sits on 40+ acres of the wooden area directly off State Route 145. We are located between Malaga & Miltonsburg. Our camp spots are very easy to drive right up to. They are overlooking a small bit of woods. Wake up in the morning to birds chirping. The area has a large clearing for children to play. but the privacy you need to enjoy a nice evening around the campfire. There is a pond for fishing, and a nice deck that is avaliable to use. There is 25 acres here and you are welcome to use it for your enjoyment. We do have fencing to keep our horses in so please we ask to not climb over the fences as they will shock you as they are electric. You will see chickens goats, rabbits, horses, dogs, and cats on our hobby farm. The wildlife you may see include squirrels, deer and racoons fox etc. Located 2 miles from interstate 70 for easy access. NewConcord is just 3 1/2 miles down the road and is the home town of John Glenn you can visit his home place there, or pick up grocerys. Cambridge is the next town away at 8 miles and you can go shopping there, We are also near the Wilds, Blue Rock State Park, and Jesse Owens State park. Hope to see you soon!

You'll notice that our property is also home to horses. They live and graze freely on the land, so from time to time, they may wander near your campsite. The horses are gentle and friendly, and many guest enjoy their quiet company during their stay. We do ask that you admire them respectfully. Please don't feed them, and give them space if they get curious and come close. They're part of the land's charm, and we're happy to share their presence with you.
Old School Farm and Workshop is a 40-acre modern homestead located in the heart of Ohio's Appalachian Country. We are 10 miles from Salt Fork State Park, Ohio's largest State Park and Ohio's Bigfoot Capital. While there, visit the new Eco-Discovery Center. Boating? We are only 6 miles to the Morning Glory boat ramp. Take your kayak on the Tuscarawas River, Simonds-Heller Park is only 13 miles away. Ride bike on the Great Guernsey Trail or check out their self-serve Kayak rental kiosk. We are at the back door of Ohio's Amish Country, and only a 45 minute drive to one of the largest conservation centers in the world, The Wilds. At Sparkman Lake, we are a small family-owned and operated business, a private little get-a-way spot, and a place you "can get lost for a little while".
Nestled in the hills of Monroe County, Ohio, Sparkman Lake (approx. 3 acres) sits on 40+ acres of the wooden area directly off State Route 145. We are located between Malaga & Miltonsburg. Sitting just a few miles away from the intersection with State Route 800 in Malaga, Ohio. The site offers 5 fully furnished cozy rustic rental cabins, a 4 bedroom deluxe cabin & 12 RV full hook-up lots. Individual parking is available at each lot.
We took over in December 2018. We are constantly upgrading our property and completing projects to help improve our beautiful piece of land. It started with some simple property cleanup, clearing brush, fixing broken structures, and adding stone for instant transformations.
Our goal is to offer our community a local place to visit and enjoy themselves, the great outdoors, fishing, pedal boating, and sitting around a campfire. As well as a close option to stay when you visit our wonderful county. We hope to continue providing this service.

Staying for a while, we are half way between Seneca lake and Salt Fork state park. In a prime hunting area, set up your camper and stay for the week. Our camp spots are very easy to drive right up to. They are overlooking a small bit of woods. Wake up in the morning to birds chirping. The area has a large clearing for children to play. but the privacy you need to enjoy a nice evening around the campfire. There is a pond for fishing, and a nice deck that is avaliable to use. There is 25 acres here and you are welcome to use it for your enjoyment. We do have fencing to keep our horses in so please we ask to not climb over the fences as they will shock you as they are electric. You will see chickens goats, rabbits, horses, dogs, and cats on our hobby farm. The wildlife you may see include squirrels, deer and racoons fox etc. Located 2 miles from interstate 70 for easy access. NewConcord is just 3 1/2 miles down the road and is the home town of John Glenn you can visit his home place there, or pick up grocerys. Cambridge is the next town away at 8 miles and you can go shopping there, We are also near the Wilds, Blue Rock State Park, and Jesse Owens State park. Hope to see you soon!

Our sites offer serenity and seclusion where you can feel free to be human and one with nature. On our property you will see open meadows where our horses graze amongst the wildflowers, woods abundant with wildlife, miles of hiking trails that are marked and maintained for your exploration. Stunning sunsets, peaceful sunrises, and unforgettable nights of stargazing. We also have an orchard, backyard vineyard and thriving garden areas that help us all live closer to the land.
We offer two unique areas to set-up camp. The Cornerstone camp site is a wooded grove with a beautiful tree canopy offering shade and a glorious sense of well-being while living in the woods.
The Hill Top site offers a panoramic view of our amazing natural landscapes from quiet dells to swelling hills. An awe-inspiring site in the autumn months taking in the colors as far as the eye can see.
Need a lift to your campsite? We'd be happy to give you (and your gear) a ride right to your campsite so you don't have to worry about carrying everything in. Just let us know when you'll be arriving.
You'll notice that our property is also home to horses. They live and graze freely on the land, so from time to time, they may wander near your campsite. The horses are gentle and friendly, and many guest enjoy their quiet company during their stay. We do ask that you admire them respectfully. Please don't feed them, and give them space if they get curious and come close. They're part of the land's charm, and we're happy to share their presence with you.
Old School Farm and Workshop is a 40-acre modern homestead located in the heart of Ohio's Appalachian Country. We are 10 miles from Salt Fork State Park, Ohio's largest State Park and Ohio's Bigfoot Capital. While there, visit the new Eco-Discovery Center. Boating? We are only 6 miles to the Morning Glory boat ramp. Take your kayak on the Tuscarawas River, Simonds-Heller Park is only 13 miles away. Ride bike on the Great Guernsey Trail or check out their self-serve Kayak rental kiosk. We are at the back door of Ohio's Amish Country, and only a 45 minute drive to one of the largest conservation centers in the world, The Wilds. There are so many things to do in this beautiful region of Ohio.

This is retired farm in the middle of nowhere. We have a lake that is stocked with trout, catfish, bass and whatever else is in there. The lake is catch and release only. Fee for fishing. This is a place for people that want to enjoy nature and not have several people camping next to them. This is not a campground with a lot of people, sometimes you may be the only people staying there.

this place is absolutely stunning! it’s very remote but i felt super safe here! the showers and bathroom are wonderful and there’s really good hot water! this is the prefect get away and i can’t recommend it enough! the hosts are wonderful and super helpful!!! my only note is that the roads are a little gravelly on the way so drive safely!!

Our stay was perfect, the site is beautiful and well kept and the host was very welcoming and kind to our two boys. She showed us all their animals and told us their backstories and even let our oldest help feed the chickens. She provided snacks for the horses which we were able to feed whenever we wanted. They come right up to the tent site and the cabin. We felt very safe and it was easy to find when driving in. Each animal we interacted with was good, the turkey will climb on your shoulder and the cats will sit on you by the fire. We are very happy and plan to come back again!
If you want a more private stay I would recommend booking both the tent site and the cabin if possible. The out house and fire pit are communal so if you don’t you’ll end up getting cozy with some strangers.

Our weekend at this site went perfect! Plenty of land to explore and hike as well as fishing! Truly thoroughly enjoyed camping at this site, perfect place to get away for the weekend. Be aware of how cozy the sites are. If you want more privacy, I would encourage you to shop around.

This campsite is easy to find. We parked close to pond with electric hookup. She had a canoe for us but we never used it. Fishing was good. Nice quiet place. Lots of paved trails to walk on. Would definitely recommend going here.

We absolutely loved this spot. Very secluded, which was exactly what we needed for a reset weekend. Only one other plot we are aware of this property, and it wasn’t in use (a small cabin on the other side of a tree line).
Nestled in the Appalachian foothills, the lush greenery and vibrant fall colors made this plot especially perfect.
We loved the meadow, and having such a large, secluded space to ourselves for the weekend. We will be back!

Awesome spot for fishing, leisurely paddling, and car camping. Clean, water was great, firewood was well seasoned and appropriately priced, outhouse was accessible and not terrifying (I only rate outhouses as terrifying or not). Will be coming back very soon.
