In 1955 when my family bought our 180-acre farm, there were Shagbark Hickory trees lining both shores of a rock-filled stream. Years later a 550-acre lake was created from damming our stream and Hickory shores became the wildlife- filled headwaters. Bald Eagles, fox, river otters, ospreys, beaver, and deer are frequent visitors to our farm along with other water birds and wildlife.
Recreational opportunities are plentiful including fishing, paddle boarding, canoeing and kayaking. The 50 mile Western Reserve Greenway paved bike trail is 1 1/2 miles away on country roads and other adjoining roads create unlimited quiet country rides and walks. In 2023 we have added a 3/4 mile wooded trail along the shores of Rock Creek with lookouts and 27 numbered stops. These stops are described in our Hickory Shores interpretive guide available at the trailhead. Additional hiking trails continue upstream and connect two seasonal waterfalls on the property. Benches along the way provide quiet spots to rest or picnic.
Spectacular sunsets, a quiet country paved road and Amish buggies await your visit. We are in Ashtabula County, home to 32 wineries and 19 covered bridges including the shortest and longest in the U.S. The second weekend in October brings the Covered Bridge Festival in nearby Jefferson, Ohio. We are conveniently located south of Lake Erie and 16 miles east of Pymatuning Reservoir for additional recreational opportunities.
We currently offer 2 campsites, and both are conveniently located near a cottage style bathroom which features a flush toilet and shower. The electric site provides a 30 amps connection and a hook-up to water if desired.
Each site has a campfire ring with outdoor chairs. A redwood picnic table is located at each site. An outdoor utility sink is also provided for dishwashing and can be found outside the bathhouse. Abundant firewood is available for $5.00 a wheelbarrow. (Honor system). If you are bringing dogs, please be aware that Sunny the inside/outside cat may greet you (he loves to say hello). For his safety and the safety of your pet, please keep dogs leashed.

We have just under 20 acres. You can drive right to the camp sites located about 700 foot behind the house. It is a peaceful setting over looking a pond, fishing is welcome. There is a pavilion and a playground. Kids and dogs are welcome. We are close to several local wineries and about 20 minutes from Lake Erie. Pymatuning Lake is 30 minutes away. Geneva on the Lake is about 30 minutes from us.
We have a catch and release fishing pond. There are 8 sites, all pretty spaced out to give privacy and a relaxing experience. 2 of which are pretty secluded site 6 and site 8. Campsites 1, 2,4,5 and 7have a view of the pond. Site 3 is near a meadow and sits behind all the other sites. Sites 1,2,3,7 can be RV or tent sites.
The pavilion adds a sense of comfort especially during rain days. We have corn hole , bocce ball and a few other relaxing games as well as a few card and board games for playing while enjoying the pavilion.

We are in Ashtabula County, home to 32 wineries and 19 covered bridges including the shortest and longest in the U.S. The second weekend in October brings the Covered Bridge Festival in nearby Jefferson, Ohio. We are conveniently located south of Lake Erie and 16 miles east of Pymatuning Reservoir for additional recreational opportunities.
We currently offer 2 campsites, and both are conveniently located near a cottage style bathroom which features a flush toilet and shower. The electric site provides a 30 amps connection and a hook-up to water if desired.
Each site has a campfire ring with outdoor chairs. A redwood picnic table is located at each site. An outdoor utility sink is also provided for dishwashing and can be found outside the bathhouse. Abundant firewood is available for $5.00 a wheelbarrow. (Honor system). If you are bringing dogs, please be aware that Sunny the inside/outside cat may greet you (he loves to say hello). For his safety and the safety of your pet, please keep dogs leashed.

We have just under 20 acres. You can drive right to the camp sites located about 700 foot behind the house. It is a peaceful setting over looking a pond, fishing is welcome. There is a pavilion and a playground. Kids and dogs are welcome. We are close to several local wineries and about 20 minutes from Lake Erie. Pymatuning Lake is 30 minutes away. Geneva on the Lake is about 30 minutes from us.
We have a catch and release fishing pond. There are 8 sites, all pretty spaced out to give privacy and a relaxing experience. 2 of which are pretty secluded site 6 and site 8. Campsites 1, 2,4,5 and 7have a view of the pond. Site 3 is near a meadow and sits behind all the other sites. Sites 1,2,3,7 can be RV or tent sites.
The pavilion adds a sense of comfort especially during rain days. We have corn hole , bocce ball and a few other relaxing games as well as a few card and board games for playing while enjoying the pavilion.

Whomever named Mosquito Lake Park obviously didn't understand good PR, but don't let the name discourage you. Nearly 2,500 acres of marshes and woodlands create a beautiful ambiance for your next getaway in Mother Nature. Stroll along one of two trails in the park, where robins and warblers tucked behind purple cresses and beech-maple trees may just move you to tears, or at least to write a haiku. We arrived at the campground a bit later than expected and had some trouble figuring out where to park and it was a bit tricky to maneuver in the dark. Thankfully, the camp host was very responsive. The short hike to the overlook was a good morning stroll. Overall, it’s a great campsite for anyone who enjoys camping but still wants access to bathroom and shower facilities.

Cheri’s property is beautiful and well maintained. Most of the tent sites have a view of their pond. The location is very quiet and the stars are bright at night. They keep the firewood very well stocked and are readily available to be contacted should you need anything like more wood, a shower, etc. I spent two nights here and can’t wait to come back. The camp is located very conveniently in Jefferson near stores if you need any supplies or to access trails/other activities.

The hosts, Cheri and Mike, have done a wonderful job with their property. It’s a park like setting complete with a playground for kids. All campsites are well spaced each with their own unique space. Mike was very good about keeping us stocked with firewood. They both keep the property well groomed. The pavilion was used by us a lot as it rained a few times. Kids would have a blast fishing as the Bluegill bite is great. We will definitely return.

We were only here for one night, but completely fell in love! The pavilion was adorable and cozy, with a gorgeous fireplace pit & firewood! Cheri welcomed us like family & we felt truly cared for and left restored. This is such a perfect spot not just for couples or families, but especially for groups.
