Located roughly 20 miles from Beaver Creek State Park, DLR Mustang Ranch is a 17-acre peaceful sanctuary for many wild and previously wild mustangs. The Ranch offers veteran and first responder mustang programs year-round. Please let us know if you are a veteran or first responder for a special rate.
Accommodations include a small one-room cabin nestled on a little pond a stone's throw from the main house and veteran program area. The cabin has electricity, a microwave, small refrigerator, tv, futon, heating and cooling; however, it does not have plumbing. Nearby is an outhouse with electricity and a water pump fed from well water. There is a firepit for cooking and picnic tables available. There is also a flat space for tent camping right beside the cabin area. The outhouse and firepit are shared between the cabin and tent campers. If you prefer a more secluded experience, please book both sites. There is space for an RV in the driveway next to the woods with electric hookup and access to the outhouse, water pump, and firepit.
While this is a working ranch with farm animals, our aim is to create a peaceful relaxing environment in order to unwind and enjoy the creation around us. Going in the pastures with horses while unaccompanied by the owners is prohibited; however, it can be arranged for you to meet and interact with the mustangs if interested. There are other farm animals including a sheep, a goat, pigs, donkeys, peacocks, turkeys, chickens, ducks and barn cats on the premises. If you want a quaint country escape complete with farm sounds, this is the spot for you!

The primitive campground is in the corner of a small 40 acre farm owned by Matt Polcyn. He started the campground 8 years ago because of his love for nature and real camping. Weekend Trip to DLR Mustang Ranch
Absolutely loved this place. My husband and I stayed the weekend to explore the area for our final trip for the year. The cabin was so cozy,we did have our air mattress with us just incase I was unable to sleep on the futon but was surprisingly comfortable. We were exploring most of the time but getting to see and pet the horses was amazing. Thank you for opening your home to us.

We had a great time at Shady Maple cabin! It was a beautiful place to unwind, de-stress, and be in an amazing setting! The cabin had everything you would need for a relaxing time. We love a good log cabin and this did not disappoint! It was clean, had snacks, jacuzzi tub inside, a hot tub outside, board games, was private enough and everything worked as it should. Shout out to the hosts for sharing this beautiful property with us! Will definitely go back!

We loved staying at the cabin. It was well furnished and had an amazing view. We had a great time interacting with the farm animals, specially the horses and the cats. This was a wonderful location! We used infrared and night vision plus Heat sensors down in the hollow looking for Bigfoot. Had a great fire at the fire pit. Spent Saturday at the Bigfoot Conference. Drove over to salt fork state forest - packed like sardines there vs turkey Hollow - never felt crowded. Will definitely return. There is electrical and one light inside the cabin - didn’t have to use my ECOFLOW. Bring your cot or rollout matt - plenty of room. Approx 16x16 cabinets with porch. Outside there are plenty of trees for hammocks as well. Two port a John’s to choose from and water outside the cabin. Again, I will be back! Thx … this was a great accidental find. The Seabee Clem

I don't know where to begin. This has been an incredible experience from the moment I got here. Dale and Renee are 2 of the nicest people you could ever meet. Renee goes above and beyond to make you feel like family. I fell in love with Buddy, the donkey. All of the animals from the handsome Fred the turkey to Pumpkin the cat are soo soo sweet. The horses are beautiful. I sat on the porch of the cabin and watched them across the pond. I even got a visit from 2 horses asking for treats. It was amazing!!! I can NOT recommend this place enough. It is peaceful, quaint, and feels like home away from home. I will definitely be back! Thank you for everything!!!!

A beautiful and quiet place, would definitely recommend staying here! The cabin was clean and cozy. I would recommend parking near the first campground where the wood is and not by your cabin unless you have 4wheel drive because the hill is quite steep. I definitely plan to stay here again!

Had a wonderful stay! Really loved having the kitchen and a hot shower! The decor of the cabin was perfect and everything was so well thought out. Very close to things if needed, but felt miles away from life.
Be cautious on the gravel, as it is very slippery.

I got to spend my holiday weekend at the cabin on Renee's beautiful land and ending up wishing I had booked a longer stay ...it was just the space I needed. Solo female traveler approved and amazing value for a cabin that includes so much to make your stay a comfortable one. Parking so close I had no trouble lugging my gear in. Cell phone reception was excellent (I have T-Mobile and never had an issue, though wifi is available if preferred). Super easy to find ...I Google Mapped it from the address provided and found it with absolutely no issues.
It truly is a peaceful, healing space managed by the most kind, generous hosts. I spent so much time just sitting on the porch looking across the pond (which currently has a small fountain running beautiful water sounds 24/7) and taking in the view of these beautiful horses grazing back and forth, some even coming right up to the railing for treats stored just for them on the porch. It's surprisingly quiet considering it's a working farm. The hosts leave you at peace when you need your space, and there's not a lot of traffic on the small country road that runs past the place.
I'm so glad I found this place and can't wait to come back and spend more time here.

This was exactly the getaway my husband and I were looking for. Being surrounded by beautiful mustangs and the quiet of the ranch was just what we needed! Renee and Dale were so inviting and very helpful. Both my husband and I learned a ton about Mustangs both at the Ranch and in the wild. We loved Ranger greeting us every morning and multiple times a day. I especially loved the time I was able to spend with Bella the partially blind paint. She was absolutely the sweetest. Looking forward to making plans to come back in the fall!

We loved glamping at Paula's cabin! It felt secluded and private, elevated on a hill and hugged by the trees. All our creature comforts were met, as well as our desire to feel wild and connected to nature. The outdoor kitchen was the best! We made a delicious meal and enjoyed bird song at sunset. The compost toilet was clean and well maintained. We were particularly impressed with the murphy bed and lighting details. So much love and care went into this cabin, and it was felt. Thank you!

We absolutely loved camping out at Turkey Hollow! This campground was so quiet and peaceful. The land was beautiful and there was tons of things to do to keep us busy. Our time here went way to fast but we will definitely be booking again & again! We had no complaints what so ever and can't wait to come back. The nature is beautiful and the sky at night is stunning to say the least. If your looking for a quiet, peaceful, & beautiful place to get away, I highly recommend this campground. Its a beautiful escape from reality. This campground is easy to book, affordable, and was really clean and chill. A+ from us !!
