Madden Farm has been in the Madden family and its descendants for seven generations. The original farmhouse on Madden Farm dates back to the 1860s. In 1980, a second dwelling was added to the property when a cabin on a nearby farm was moved across the fields and placed near Madden Pond. In recent years, the family has endeavored to be good stewards of the land by planting trees, growing fruits and vegetables while incorporating sustainable practices. Also of interest, since 2014, family members from Madden Farm have hosted the Madden Road Music Fest, a one-day music festival held annually on the second Saturday in August. Our camping sites are secluded, offering a variety of shade and sunshine. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. Connected to the sites, we have walking trails that meander through woods where you'll see a variety of trees and wildflowers. Our community area is centrally located with a fire pit, picnic tables, and an open area for group gatherings. The toilet and sink for hand washing are in this area. While at Madden Farm, you can relax under the trees in Sweet Gum Hammock Grove, witness spectacular sunsets and star-filled night skies like no other, and enjoy the beauty and serenity of Ohio farmland. If you enjoy fishing, bring your pole and gear to fish (catch and release) from the banks of Madden Pond. Sweet Glum Glade is a great, secluded spot in the woods, but also close enough to a bathroom and hand washing sink - which is ideal when your kids get covered in s’mores! We watched the sunset over the field across from our camp and slept outside underneath the stars. Highly recommended!

Our campsite at Madden Farm was very well kept, quiet and beautiful. Our two young kids really loved looking at the chickens and playing with the dogs and kitten. Weekend Trip to Glamping at River Run

This little getaway was everything. The rustic, bohemian vibe was thoughtfully executed. It was warm, inviting, and so clean! The hosts are excellent communicators which was evident right way. They have taken care of every detail. Seriously, leave it all at home! Blankets, lanterns, kitchen/cooking items - stocked! We drove over 3 hours to camp in someone's backyard. Was it worth it? YES! Not negatives, but some things to consider: There is a train nearby that you hear all night which i find personally comforting. You will also hear a decent amount of traffic noise from the nearby road. Although you're tucked away, there are still people and other glampers on the neighboring property that you can hear and see. Also, the waterfront is super cute! Probably good for fishing and walking the property, but too mucky for taking a dip. Oh! The nearby downtown area is also fabulous with lots of great shops, bars, and restaurants. This sweet little glamp spot has everything. 💕

5⭐️ Review Easy to find, they even have a hand drawn out map for you to follow and you can see what the whole farm has to offer, from a community hangout area to hammocks and walking trails. I road my motorcycle and the terrain was safe enough to ride on. My camp spot was private, secluded and felt far enough away from everything without having to go to far. There’s a local Kroger within roughly 10min away for all your drink and food supplies. The whole place is just perfect for a nice get away, you can tell the people take care of it and took time to lay it out right.

Camping here was amazing! Heather and her family were very welcoming and made sure we felt comfortable on their land. Seeing all the fish in the ponds was definitely a unique experience. My family and I loved it! There was plenty of space for our 2 young boys to run and get some energy out after a long drive. Lighting a camp fire at the edge of one of the ponds on a clear night was a perfect way to end the day. Thank you Heather and family! We are already thinking of a time when we can return to enjoy your land once again.
