This place is one of a kind. The cabin is super cozy while simultaneously feeling connected to nature with a ton of big windows that really bring in the outdoors. The amenities and little touches are first rate including a complete mini cook's kitchen, awesome lighting to fit any mood, a ton of games, great reading material, and stacked firewood for the charming indoor wood burner. The cabin is very charming and a great jumping off point for Eastern Ohio adventures! PS - Super clean and the hosts were very friendly.

Weekend Trip to Ohio Enchanted Forest
We loved camping out here! They provided basic everything you could think of. Flashlights, cutlery, extra blankets, extra water, firewood, candles, you name it! They even have cooking equipment and spices available. We arrived later than anticipated the first night and they had started a fire for us ahead of time in the wood stove. It got down to about 35⁰ one night and the wood stove kept us plenty warm! That combined with the candles made it all super cozy. We didn't hear or see another soul the entire time we were out there, but we did see plenty of wildlife. Overall it was a wonderful experience! Would definitely recommend!!

Weekend Trip to Ohio Enchanted Forest
We loved our stay at the Glamping Cabin! We lucked out on a beautiful fall weekend and really enjoyed relaxing around the fire. The cabin was beautifully decorated with smart and thoughtful touches. The host was kind and communicative.

The camp site was beautiful and very private. Easy to find. There’s a really sturdy wagon to carry supplies and plenty of firewood for sale.
The swivel grate on the fire pit was great for cooking up a meal.

This was one of my favorite hipcamp spots ever - a true glamping experience! Comfy bed, tastefully decorated, all the essentials provided. I didn’t want to leave 🥰
My gps had difficulty finding it at first since it’s a newer build, but with AWD and a responsive host we figured it out. We were glad we arrived before the sun set though. I liked that it felt private and safe.
The cabin itself was truly amazing - all the touches very thoughtful and cozy. Although there’s no electricity or running water, there were plenty of candles and little rechargeable lights and even some lanterns. All the essentials being well maintained and on site already is such a luxury. They had big jugs of water with refillable dispensers inside, soap, seasonings, cookwear, utensils, towels, a propane grill, fire ring, chairs, compost toilet, a trash can, and firewood.
We did wake up to loud sirens at 4am one of the nights, but they said it’s common, so don’t be alarmed :)

Beautiful, spacious property with private secluded camp sites. Owen is an amazing host and was very helpful and provided great information for other things to do in the surrounding area as well. My son and I had an amazing time staying here and will definitely be back! I would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a wonderful adventure in the beautiful Appalachian foothills of south-east Ohio!

Rowan’s cabin is a hidden gem tucked deep in Ohio’s enchanted forest—a place that feels like stepping into a storybook. From the moment we arrived, we were wrapped in peaceful privacy, surrounded by beautiful walking and hiking trails, and greeted with thoughtful touches like firewood to keep the chill away.
Though the cabin is off-grid (no electricity or running water), it’s full of clever, charming solutions that make the experience feel like a cozy retreat from another time. Candlelight sets the mood, hand-washing stations in the kitchen and bathroom are simple and effective, and the wood-burning fireplace kept us warm on crisp nights. The outdoor kitchen area—with its grill and rustic table—was perfect for slow mornings and starlit dinners.
Inside, the cabin is stocked with everything you could need and more: a shelf full of great books, a well-equipped kitchen, and a bed so comfy—with soft blankets and plush pillows—that we slept like logs. And the best part? Our pups were just as pampered, with a dog cot and water bowls waiting for them.
Rowan’s cabin is more than a place to stay—it’s an experience. Peaceful, creative, and full of heart. We left feeling restored, inspired, and already dreaming of our next visit.

Firefly Forest was a great experience. Owen is very friendly and responsive, and they are doing some really cool things with their farm. The tent sites are roomy and spaced out. Good hiking and the swimming hole is amazing. Make sure to get eggs, not only are they pretty, they taste better than the store. Get the taxi service for your gear...this is the foothills after all and it's an uphill hike to the campsite. YOU CANNOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE no matter how confident you are. The road will not accommodate normal vehicles so you will have to hike in. It's totally worth it! The farm tour was amazing. We did it safari style with stops to see the grounds and the farm. Make sure to pet the goats, they're very sweet! We have found a new favorite spot and will be returning.

My partner and I stayed here for a couple of days and it didn't take long for the chats by the fire to turn to "oh, the next time we come here we should--".
It's equally obvious that Owen sincerely loves this place and wants you to enjoy your stay as it is that he respects campers ability to...camp. Meaning if you already camp often (and chances are if you read this review on this app, you do) than you will get the nesessary rundown and lay of the land from Owen and be left to just enjoy nature. There's ample wood available, compost toilets at every site, and fantastic trails full of love and attention to detail that I think only people that love the woods would appreciate.
Next time, I am definitely taking them up on the added "take your gear" offer so that I can focus on exploring those hills again. If you aren't experienced than Owen has you covered and if you are experienced, Owen has you covered. Dude clearly just wants you to have a good time regardless of your experience level. All in all this place is wonderful and I can't want to see it evolve because it's really doing something special.

Very clean cozy and private. Host communicated well thru app but not harassingly. the trails were perfect for morning or evening walks. Thankful for Aircon cause it was sweltering hot outside. Very close to the wilds if thats on itinerary.

This place is absolutely beautiful. They have made it a hikers paradise. Once settled, we were rewarded by a sunset through the Tulip Poplar and Oaks. The owners are incredibly welcoming and accommodating.
This was our first time “primitive” camping, so it offered some challenges, but the memories made with our kids were more than we could ever ask for. The owners have made the land an oasis worth exploring. We will absolutely be back!

Weekend Trip to Ohio Enchanted Forest
We loved glamping in Rowan’s cabin. It was remote, had all the amenities and feel of a luxury experience but without the luxury price. The bed was comfortable, the property was spacious with lots of trails to hike and came with relaxation of camping without the work. It was a great experience and it felt like we had running water due to the sinks, and camping shower. The stove they provide, and fan both add to the experience to make it feel like you can do anything you could at home! It was high 80’s the whole time we were there but with the mosquito nets, and doors open it was very comfortable and we never even broke a sweat. The candles, and decor make it perfect for either a romantic getaway or family weekend away. The hosts were both friendly, and inviting. Their dogs are a wonderful treat too if you’re dog people like we are!

We had a great time at the Addy Shelter and the land in general. My daughter loved the chickens and cats, and we were able to camp with our dog! The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The site was very nice and private and quiet. It’s a bit of a hike up a hill to the site from the parking area.

This was a great hipcamp, about 30 min from the trails we hiked. The site was beautiful and the hosts were great— there was a small wasp nest by the shower and the hosts took care of it within about 5 minutes of being informed. (Very responsive and very friendly!). The shower is a foot pump and there’s a spicket to fill up water jugs/bottles as well.

Owen was extremely accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We planned on camping at firefly forest and going to local attractions but everything we needed ended up being right there!! I don’t get a chance to spend time with all of my grown kids at once and this was a perfect place and made a perfect weekend. There are trails to hike, more than enough space at the campsite, kayaks to use and the swimming lake was awesome. I think our favorite thing was swimming.

Consider when booking the availability of bathroom and shower facilities. My family doesn’t mind but it is very rustic approach.

A great little cabin to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It’s very remote and secluded but is accessible by a gravel road. I think we counted 3 trucks and 2 side by sides as traffic for the entire weekend!
The cabin was neat as a button and every question a guest could ever ask was already addressed either in their cabin manual or little notes adjacent to the items. It is SOOOO quiet! What a great place to relax and unwind. Many trails criss-cross the property so bring comfortable shoes. Thanks for the opportunity to share your little slice of heaven!
