My friends and I LOVED this camp site! The land was beautiful and we enjoyed waking up by the lovely creek. Dianne was incredibly helpful and nice. In short, we had a blast. It was so easy to get up and go see Boone, visit Blowing Rock, and find hikes along the blue ridge, etc. We will definitely be back in the summer time. Thank you, Garry & Dianne!!

This is a beautiful place to camp. Very secluded. A small stream circles the property. The old cabin is an awesome piece of history. Tons of birds. If you're looking for peaceful, secluded and primitive camping, this is the spot to be in this area. Emily was a great host. Very responsive and nice. She met us, showed us where to go, informed us on the area and then gave us privacy for the weekend. We would definitely come back if we're in the area again.

We loved our peaceful quiet 2 night stay. The host Mike was just up the hill and was very friendly and helpful in providing trail maps and plenty of firewood during our stay. Even had a special treat ... Also saw a bald eagle roosting in one of the tall trees on the property for almost an hour and the morning before we left. It was real nice. Would definitely go again

I almost want to give a 1 star review so no one else will discover this hidden gem, however, the hosts and location were so amazing that I just can’t! Don’t hesitate- book any of their three sites for your next trip- we had the dome and creekside tent site for the weekend and there was plenty of space. Next time we look forward to renting the cabin and creek-site together for a little more indoor beds but the dome has all the grassy areas to set up tents. Plan to bring cash for firewood as well- $1/piece and burns great!

Hosts are exceptionally kind and hospitable. Creekside location is beautiful. Cabin is cute, rustic, comfortable. Fire pit was near a picnic table and made cooking easy. Bathroom porta potty was clean. Overall, good experience, would recommend. Pro tip, arrive with a few daylight hours left so you can find everything easily before dark.

Great little spot with 3 different sites. We stayed at site 2 which has a parking spot/tent spot, shelter with picnic table/chairs and fire pit. Each site has its own fire pit and a shelter which is really nice. The hosts are fantastic and greet you as you come in. They have fire wood and a very clean porta potty bathroom on site. The driveway looks rough but my small hatchback made it across the bridge and down the gravel lot. It's a short driveway just be aware of mud spots when it rains. We definitely are coming back as this was one of the best locations, safe and had just about everything we needed. Thank you Garry & Dianne!

Site 2 with the deck was perfect! Great access to river / swimming hole, nice private area for fire, outlet on deck, and plenty of chairs. Stars are amazing on a clear night, and sleeping with the sounds of the creek was very relaxing.

A lovely little site right by the creek! Dianne is a very generous host and made sure we had everything we needed. We set up our tent in the picnic shelter to keep dry from the rain, which also had a small table and chairs so we were very comfortable. The porta potty was the cleanest I’ve ever seen! Our dog had a blast playing in the creek and hanging out with the host dogs. Would definitely book Joyville again!

What an amazing site and hospitality at its finest! It was great to let the dogs swim in the river. It was a little too cold for me when I visited in February but I will definitely be back in the warmer months. I had a camper but had a tour of the camp and all the sites were very cute. A beautiful back road mountain drive to Boone with plenty of hiking and a mtn bike park in the area.
