Beautiful mountain views and complete privacy located on 11 secluded acres. 1/2 mile to Bailey Mountain hiking trials and 1/2 mile to downtown Mars Hill where you can enjoy the university, restaurants, brewery, coffee shops, grocery stores, and art galleries. 20 minute drive to downtown Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Wolf Laurel ski slopes. Come enjoy this one of a kind peaceful, completely off grid glamping experience. ***Dome is completely off grid, runs completely off solar power. Guests can check how much power they have on the generator under the kitchen countertop by hitting the display button. Electric should be sufficient but glampers will do are responsible for using the electricity responsibly so as to not drain the battery completely. There is a microwave for cooking, a charcoal grill on the deck (charcoal and grill necessities included) and a fire ring for open flame cooking. There is a hammock provided for warmer days! Please note that when temperatures dip into the teens and the single digits make sure to bring warm clothing as dome can still get a bit chilly on those nights. Also note that there is a hand washing station outside of the dome next to the port a potty however when temperatures dip into the teens and single digits the water can freeze up in the hand washing station. We do also provide hand sanitizer as a back up. The outdoor shower is only open typically from April through October. In addition, the only form of heat is a wood burning stove with starters and wood provided, so it will be your responsibility to make sure that the stove keeps burning with wood as to keep the dome warm. This most likely will entail getting up at least once a night to stoke/put wood on the fire. On very hot summer days the dome can get very warm inside. We have a high powered fan and black out curtains to help but it still can get very warm. Best to utilize the outdoor space in the late morning/early afternoon hours or use this time to explore the area. THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING! Also, there may be some bugs that you see. Especially stink bugs in September and October. We do our best to keep bugs out, yet this is a Glamping experience which is between camping and a typical Airbnb experience so please plan/pack/expect accordingly. Thanks!

I sleep a lot on the day bed in the living room so the Sawmill can be comfortably rented for up to 4 guests. The outhouse is a thing of the past, just recently I installed a compositing toilet besides the bedroom.We also offer The Summit which is a high elevation, 2-story cabin surrounded by national forest which has evolved into an off-grid living and play space located at nearly 3300 feet elevation on a 1/2 acre flat with an incredible view. There are very private old forest service trails leading directly into the Pisgah National Forest.

This is a really amazing spot. Everything was perfect, and the location is very private; there is no one else anywhere close to the dome, but it is still only a short drive into town. Jeremy was super communicative and I would definitely stay here again.

We had such a great time visiting the summit cabin, and it was equipped with everything you would typically need on a camping trip! Hans was very nice and brought all of our things to the cabin, and we hiked the steep but beautiful trail up to the summit. We brought our two dogs that absolutely loved running around the property, and we even explored the trails in the woods behind the cabin and they were endless. We went on a chilly weekend, and were so surprised at how warm the gas units inside got to warm up the cabin! Such a beautiful cabin, and we cannot wait to come back again.

We spent Halloween weekend at Jeremy and Terra's mountaintop glamper and it was incredible! The mountain views were stunning everyday, even with the rain our first day and the privacy was outstanding! Close enough to town if you need anything and far enough away to be and feel secluded. The glamper was perfect and cozy and I loved sitting in bed and enjoying what I called "nature's TV" out the front of the glamper. We could not have had or asked for a better experience in what was our first vacation in 2 years. Even our German Shepherd had a wonderful time. Jeremy and Terra are outstanding hosts, made us feel at home, and checked in with us in the morning to make sure we had everything we needed! They made sure the glamper was stocked and clean! We highly recommend staying with them and we will most definitely be going back! One caution, if going while raining or during the winter months, you definitely want a 4WD or AWD as the gravel up to the mountain is a little steep and can be a little difficult with any kind of precipitation. Our little Nissan Versa stick-shift wasn't happy about the climb lol.

Loved it! There are 3 structures on the property and I’m so glad we got the A-frame. It’s the farthest away from parking and most secluded space. The sound of the creek drowns out all other sounds and you really feel like you’re there alone. The property is beautiful.

It was a great time camping in the Geodome! I went with my mother and my dog and we all had a wonderful experience. The creek was so cool and my dog got to splash around a lot. I loved seeing the stars and the fake fireplace kept us very warm on a cold night. Will book again!

They really thought about all of the small detail details (fresh flowers, umbrella, extra sleeping bags, cookware, spices, coals and lighter fluid for grill, shampoo and conditioner in the amazing outdoor shower…) and made this experience great. The view is unparalleled. Phenomenal stargazing. The inside is so cute and the wood-burning stove was great to have on the chilly night. Would have loved to spent more time there.

Our stay was truly unforgettable. Waking up to the breathtaking views each morning felt like a dream, and sharing those moments with my family made it even more special. The cozy setup struck the perfect balance between comfort and adventure. The kids loved roasting marshmallows under the stars, and we loved sipping coffee while watching the sunrise over the mountains. It was the perfect escape, and the memories we made together will stay with us for a long time. Jeremy was amazing since the moment I made the reservation. Oh, what a Beautiful Retreat! The spot is quite private, safe and amazing! Everything is set up to make you feel cozy and happy. We felt like on a second honeymoon! The crick is clean! The fish is there if you want to get some! Our A-frame unit was supplied nicely: microvalve, coffee maker with a plenty of coffee. We had very large cooler all for us :). Paper towels, disposable dishes and staff. Also we had free case of a fire wood. And the extra didn't cost much. There is a show in a very short distance from the cabin. The air is fresh! My granma would say" like a cowl milk" - totally clean and yummy. We plan to be back a lot next year and visit other cabins. The bottom line: fresh, clean, beautiful, safe, very private. Love it!

Absolutely loved this placed! When we arrived it was magical. A dozen monarch butterflies waiting to greet us and the sound of rushing water. You won't get much service on your way up so make sure you read the instructions before making the trek. Wifi works great once you are there. We stayed in the Geodome which was roomy for two and made ourselves at home with the outdoor kitchen and deck area. Bring your kitchen and essentials you think you'll need + anything to cook with over the campfire. The inside does get hot so for us outside was the perf temp. Cooler doesn't hold ice the best, but it does well for drinks, we brought out own. This was such a lovely stay and we had it to ourselves for the time we were there. Mostly because it was the week school was in session. Boone is so close and we ventured into town a couple of times. We'll definitely be coming again and hopefully to the other lovely spots not the property. <3

Weekend Trip to Glamping At Fall Creek Retreats
Had the best 2 night stay at this quaint, private little A-frame! Spent the day riverside cooking, swimming, and relaxing. The grill is a FlatIron (easy to clean) up on the porch, which I really enjoyed using while making dinner under the outdoor lights in the evening. At night we loved sitting by the fire listening to the river stream. The inside was cozy and comfortable. The port-a-potty was super clean and easy to access right outside our door. There is also 2 trees down by the river where I was able to hang Eno hammock. Keep in mind the WiFi does not extend to this cabin, however I really enjoyed being disconnected! 10/10 recommend and will be back!

10/9/2024 NOTICE: We had some damage to our road due to Hurricane Helene that made it impassable. It has since been repaired and is opened to traffic. There are still some remaining rough areas, but the road is easily passable by passenger vehicles and RV's up to 28ft. Our site was once part of a much larger farm growing tobacco and raising cattle and other farm animals. The existing tobacco barn was built in the early 1960's. The concrete pad used for RV camping was used to store silage for the cows. The non-potable water source is a mountain spring that has been used on the farm since the 1930's. While many tobacco barns in the area have been torn down for their rusted tin roofing and rustic siding, we have worked to restore the barn and preserve its history.

The views are hypnotic, looking down and out over the continental divide. Good morning, and sunsets can be seen from the same spot. Your car is parked within feet of your deck, so Car Campers and experienced campers can enjoy. Designed with campers and dogs in mind. The deck is large (384 square feet) with a tin roof. Some roofs are full size, some are two-thirds, and some are one-third, depending on what one wants for tent size or sun exposure. Dogs enjoy a two-gate system, allowing guests and dogs be leash-free and away from the road. All dog owners know to pick up after their pets.
