We carved our 43 acre horse farm out of wild swampy land in 2007 and finished the barndeminium in 2008. We started with Hipcamp 6 years ago and enjoy meeting new people. My husband is retired from the Air Force and works full time doing the chores. I retired May 2024 from being a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Womack Army Medical Center. I have a side hobby making homemade jams, pickles and flavored goat cheese spreads. We love the peacefulness of where we live...although the weather chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks, goats and horses do get a little loud come feeding time. We have different sites, please read each description or message me before you book a stay. All the sites have an 8pm latest check in unless you've stayed with us before. With the cold snap we have been experiencing the RV water source will freeze up over night. Please message me before booking the RV. We are constantly looking for ways to upgrade or make our farm more fun to visit.

If you are looking for a place to relax and soak in some time among the trees… this is it. No amplified music, quiet-ish after 9:00 pm. Small quiet dogs on leash are welcomed with a deposit and the Airstream is absolutely positively a non smoking area. We are about a mile from the Moore County Hounds kennel, so you will hear the 'singing" of foxhounds at least twice a day. We have a rooster on our portion of the property, as do our neighbors. You will be able to hear them greet each other in the morning!

Weekend Trip to The Homestead At Little Creek

This was such an adorable and peaceful little stay. My best friend and I were looking for a place to crash before a rabbit show and this was a perk because we didn't have to bring our own tent. It looked cute online, and then we got here. Pictures Do not do this place Justice. It is so incredibly peaceful from sitting outside the yurt and watching the cows graze in the pasture next door to listening to the birds chirp in the trees and the frogs peep at night. I was incredibly thankful to have a bathroom with a flush toilet because I'm not all about that pit toilet in the woods stuff at my age. The bathroom was super clean and just a few steps away from the camping area. Sarah and (forgive me if I get it wrong) Jeff are great hosts. Jeff checked in on us to see if we needed anything and to make sure we got settled in ok. Mira the guardian dog suckered me in to giving belly rubs with her big beautiful soft eyes. A few kitties popped by to say hello and enjoyed some pets and scritches. I would absolutely stay here again!

What a wonderful little hidden gem this is! The perfect place to get away for a couple of days and just relax and enjoy being surrounded by nature. In our younger years we would tent camp for all of our vacations. As we got older, having to ‘set up camp’ became more difficult. These glamping tents are the perfect solution for us! The tent was pretty much like the pictures. Loved the convenience of having the kitchenette. The bed slept much better than I was expecting.. I have back issues and that’s always a concern for me, but I slept great both nights. The porch was a great place to have a morning cup of coffee or an afternoon of reading while enjoying the wildlife. And having the private bathhouse just steps away was perfect. And as the sun begins to set, it’s almost magical to see the lighting through out the property. We enjoyed walking around the property with our dog, walking the trail and through the fields. The land is beautiful and so peaceful. All of the communal areas perfect for gatherings if you’re traveling with other families. As a retired event planner, I kept envisioning how perfect a wedding would be at Sugarneck! I will definitely recommend.

We were four families who spent a weekend at Sugar Neck, and honestly, it was such a perfect escape. Having the entire place to ourselves made it feel extra special — it’s an amazing setup for a group getaway. The tents are beautiful, super comfortable, and the bathrooms are neat, private, and way nicer than you’d expect for glamping. We couldn’t have asked for more. In fact, we loved it so much we’ve already booked another weekend for next week! The host was excellent at communicating and made everything smooth from start to finish. As a first time solo glamper, this exceeded my expectations. I was greeted by the Megan, her husband, and their dog Myra. Traveling alone can be scary, but Myra was near me all night. She also walked me to the bathroom each time I went. The tent had a heater, as well as a fireplace in the glamping area that I used. In the morning, I got to meet all of the wonderful animals on the farm. With this location being only 30 minutes from Dix park, it’s the perfect place to crash after seeing Thomas Dambo’s trolls! Great for a group camping trip, but I loved doing it solo.
