Monte and Tracy (and Woody of course) are wonderful hosts and you don’t leave there without establishing a long term friendship! 50amp, water and sewer hookups were all new and worked perfectly. They held an evening fire down at the wood pile where all the guests are welcome and encouraged to come, have a beer, relax and tell stories! Great nature walks to see beaver dams or other critters of the beautiful surrounding woodlands. Our dog Cali loved the nature walks! We will definitely come back to visit our new friends again!

I found this camping option when looking for a place that had a shelter we could camp under. My daughter and I go camping every fall and the night we were supposed to go camping it was supposed to rain, a lot. And it did. I reached out to Emma to see if we could secure a cover to place our tent under and she had one available. The location was cool, as it's about 150 yards from the Neuse River Greenway. They also have horses, so my daughter was thrilled to pet them. We fished some in the river and caught one fish. James, Emma's son, I think, met us when we arrived and showed us to our site. He's great and seemed excited we were there. He was helpful in giving us the lay of the land.
Overall it was a great experience. The heavy rain on the tin roof of the cover kept us up most of the night but it was better than a wash out.
I think we'll camp here again, but we do like to experience new places, so it may be a couple of years. I do highly recommend trying it out if you're looking for a place. It was unique (in a good way) and a good change from somewhere like Falls Lake campground.

Emma was so accommodating at the last minute!! I accidentally drove a bit out of my way and thankfully she welcomed me in at 8pm with little notice. She wrote out detailed instructions for me to get into the camp.
Her son, James, was awesome and gave me a tour of their place. He even introduced me to the horses. The land was seriously so special, and something I won’t forget. I’m so grateful I got to stay here and experience it.

Convenient location with full hookup. We spent our days with family in Raleigh and our nights at Red Farm. Road noise can be disruptive, but we slept with our AC on and we were not bothered by it at all. We found Red Farm to be a good value and would return if we are in the Raleigh area again

What an awesome campsite! The host was so kind and welcoming and even gave us a tour of their beautiful, tucked-away land. They had some beautiful friendly horses, beautiful open fields, and easy access to the Neuse River Trail which made for some great evening walks. We will definitely be back!

This site was a wonderful getaway from the city! The renter personally greeted us and showed us around the farm. There was plenty of open space, yet trees for privacy between sites. Would definitely recommend!

Camping at River Farm on the Neuse River Trail provided a multitude of fun things to do both on the farm and locally. When we arrived, we texted Emma, our camp hostess, who then, met us at the parking area and gave Louis my dog & I a tour of the grounds, showing us our campsite meadow and camp faciltites. Our camp site was both on the furthest southernmost border of the farm and right next to an access point to the Neuse River Trail, which was great for nature walks and cycling during the day and total quite and seclusion at night. After I set-up camp, Louis and I were ready to explore. Exploring the farm, we met the farm's horses and wandered through the large meadows, where Louis got to run off-leash. Next, we enjoyed a relaxing walk along the Neuse River Trail before retrurning to camp and heading to Walmart — only 15 minutes away — for supplies. On the way back, we stoppoed at the Neuse River Trail Capital Area Greenway, where we met some locals and checked out some more trails. As the sun set, Louis and I had dinner and then I played a few tunes on my guitar before we both climbed into the tent for the night. The following morning’s sunrise was one of those gray soft light calm morning sunrises that was perfect for my morning routine of coffee and journal writting. I definitely recommend camping at River Farm on the Neuse River Trail and Louis and I had a fun and relaxing time.

It was a great place to spend the night especially after having to pull my bike over 2 miles out of 30 through the mud along the trail. I met the owner’s son and had some great conversations. It was very quiet and we camped close the trail for easy access via bike. We will be back.

Great full hookup RV location near Raleigh/Wendell, NC. Monty was awesome and very accommodating. Has a great, friendly dog named Woody. Sites are clean, and have full hook-ups, including 50Amp service. A little noise from the road right behind the sites, but it is not a major road, and is very quiet at night. Overall a fabulous location to stay if you are in the Raleigh area!
