My Neighbor has started his own Campsite, "The Swimming Hole". If mine is booked up and you still want to camp, look him up. His is better suited for small groups but has much more privacy. We have a new road to the campsite; you can now drive down with two-wheel drive vehicle or RV down and park near your tent! There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee. A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite. Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, large amounts of rain can change conditions and make it unusable. I should also add, this is not a completely private campsite deep in the woods. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will spend a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view also. Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground. Glamping tents and additional camping tents are available through a local company. Look in the pictures for the tent with red, white, and blue balloons. Message me for details. Close to US National Whitewater Center (mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (Horseback riding and history), Crowders Mountain (Hiking), 3 miles off of I-85 and US-321 for people passing through.

Paul’s Golden Spot Hip Camp was a favorite location for us. We had gone up to NC to visit relatives and he was in a great location for a great price. We were happy to have water and electric hookup and a dump location when we were finished with our four night stay. Gold Hill is a charming little town and has some nice hiking trails. Paul is extremely friendly and helpful. His home is amazing! We will choose his quiet and spacious location again if it’s available the next time we’re in the area.

Cheryl’s land is a beautiful place with nature trails on the property. The campsite (creek front 11) was neat and clean with a little patch of forests above the creek. Frogs sing at night and you could hear other wild lives. The farm goods are very recommended- eggs were delicious. The host was very very helpful and responsive. And they sell s’mores and firewoods- very convenient.

Beautiful spot, and the white noise of the waterfall was a delight to sleep to! It’s a large space, and made me feel very alone as I was by myself. Highly recommend for groups.

I loved camping at Cheryl’s place! It was absolutely beautiful and perfect. She was extremely helpful with anything at all we needed. There are lots of friendly cows and donkeys that love to be pet. And the farm store is awesome. I hope to get the chance to stay again! She was also so accommodating for my dogs!

Nice quiet site away from everything. Nice trails to explore and a little creek to play in. Lots of shade. Short drive to bathroom/shower and clean drinking water. Easy to communicate with host.

Nice people. Convenient location. Very clean. Wasn’t finished when I was there. Looks like it will be even better in a few months. Little loud with an industrial are and highway nearby. Sites aren’t that level.

My family had a great time at Harmon Creek Farm! From fishing in the pond, feeding/petting the animals, and playing in the creek, it had everything we wanted. Cheryl and family were outstanding hosts. I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to escape for a camping trip.

I loved camping by the waterfalls and sleeping with sounds of the water cascading over the rocks. Very clean and private. Highly recommend. Scott was very nice and supplied some firewood for the firepit.

3 nights at The Oasis at Harmon Creek Farms

This is our absolute FAVORITE place to camp and we love the whole family who runs / owns the farm! They have the most incredible farm with beautiful spacious campsites majority of which are on the creek so you can take a refreshing dip! They offer fresh eggs and meat to purchase as well as many other things offered at their camp store! The animals are beautiful and have so much land to roam! Don’t forget to ask about doing their farm tour! I really enjoyed meeting the animals and holding a baby chick! And definitely ask about petting their donkey Molly- she is so sweet and loves being fed grass! Thank you all for making our camping experience so amazing each and every time! Your farm is truly a very special place to camp and we have enjoyed each of the camp sites we have stayed at- this past trip was site 10 and was wonderful! Harmon Creek Farms is 10/10

Beautiful property with sites tucked into the woods off the road. Really easy access to the public land for hiking! We went just before the season started for off-road vehicles and enjoyed quiet time in the woods!

The girls enjoyed floating on the pond. Our site was private with lots of room to spare. The sound of the stream was serene. We all loved petting the farm animals. Appreciative of the camp store although small had what we needed. Cheryl and others very responsive to our needs. Would most definitely return!

The Waterfall is beautiful. Scott was kind and helpful. The site is mostly sand so be prepared for that. The location is easy to find and access. It doesn't feel incredibly secluded with Scott's house being close by, but the beauty of the Waterfall helps overcome that. I'd definitely recommend this site (especially for families) and would go again.
