We had a great time hanging out and relaxing on the property. The campsite was nice and level and had beautiful views. We planned to camp 2 nights, but the weather said otherwise. We would have been perfectly happy camping multiple nights. The electrical hookup, water, and string lights were a game changer. We felt spoiled. I normally camp off grid, so the amenities were extra nice. The property isn't far from the general population, but it feels secluded. We look forward to returning. *Just something to note. The owners live on the property and use the gravel drive next to the campsite. They also have a dog on the property that barked some at night. We've camped at heavily traveled campsites and have camped around coyote's that howled all night. This wasn't that big of an issue. We had a great experience.

We had no issues booking this campsite last minute, and while there was no communication from the owner during our stay, everything went smoothly and we had an amazing weekend. The location can be a bit tricky to find, so be sure to follow the directions provided in your booking. The site itself is large, private, and offers a breathtaking view of the smoky mountains. Since it faces west, the sunsets are absolutely phenomenal! The campsite includes a fire pit, a wooden swing, a large teepee structure, and a small toilet shed — all decently maintained. We didn’t see any bears during our stay, but we did hang our food in a nearby tree just to be safe. Overall, it was a peaceful and scenic getaway — we’d definitely stay here again and have already been recommending it to friends!

This was a beautiful gem! We had a nice level gravel site with full hookups (50amp). We travel with a 38ft travel trailer pulled with an F250 diesel truck. We had no problem getting in or out. The driveway does have a somewhat steep incline going in and is fairly narrow but we had no trouble. We loved waking up to the cows and turkeys in the morning. The twinkle lights added an extra fun touch of home!

The property was gorgeous and seeing cows right next to the campsite was so fun. We very much appreciated the twinkle lights provided to light up the site and quick communication from Rebekah. The only thing to note is that their adorable farm dog might bark at night especially if there is a storm. The location was not too far from NP and we loved being able to have a private space after a long day of hiking. I would definitely recommend this property for those looking for a relaxing and beautiful getaway in the mountains.

This place is truly special! We've so enjoyed our stay here and look forward to more time. Our hosts are super sweet and helpful and communicate well with us. The site is clean and perfect with a fire pit, picnic table, cute lighting and a grill. Note: The driveway is narrow and a decent uphill grade. If you are not comfortable with towing it may not be for you. We had zero issues but do understand that some newbies might be intimidated by it. That said, if you listen to the host's instruction and you're a regular who is comfortable with your rig, you'll be absolutely fine. (We tow a 32' GD Reflection)

Unclear as to why is this now called Shannon's land. The address is a campground called Roamstead (yes, address is correct) which is what it was originally posted as when I made the reservation. The staff at Roamstead Campground were amazing and extremely helpful and accommodating. They let me change sites due to not being able to hookup. Can’t say enough about the staff… they were an absolute 10! The facilities were clean and well maintained and a nice playground for the kiddos. That said, it was 100% a campground. Any implied statements that this is someone’s private land/private space like many of the posting on this website would be misleading. In peak season you will be right next to your neighbor just like any other campground. It’s a wonderful place to stay just know you are booking a campground.

Please read the entire listing because I have updated this page. The booking is for 2 people, any guest after the initial 2 or pet will be $10 per night. Add them as extra guests Pull down a paved road and get out of your car and sit down at a picnic table in front of a private waterfall! This site has a pull through, full hookup spot with 30amp for campers but tents are always welcome or a combination of the two. I've had a 33' camper, popup camper and 6 tents at this campsite all at the same time so there plenty of room for your family and friends! We're 2.5 miles from the Cherokee Casino and 3.5 miles from down town Cherokee If you're tired of crowded campgrounds then you'll love the privacy this campground offers. This is now a two site campground with each site being around 100' away from the other site with trees and vegetation growing in between, you more or less cant see on site from the other from May until November. There is a orange cone that marks the border of the two sites. One set of campers will not be allowed on the other campers campsite, if this happens you will be evicted with no refund. Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 12pm. No shooting firearms, (although you may hear people shooting firearms because you will be camping in the mountains) but your more than welcome to bring your firearms. Its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.   No fireworks. No making trails or collecting firewood (This is not because I want to sell you firewood, its because I want to have the property remain as pristine as possible) Do not cut down trees alive or dead  If you move picnic tables please move them back Dogs are permitted but message me first to see if your do will be a good fit. There is a small Church around 200 yards from the campground. They hold services every Wednesday and Sunday. They generally start around 5pm and it lasts around a hour. If your into that they would love to have you come down. The EBCI opened a dispensary around 3 miles from the campground. It will open to all adults over 21 starting September 7th 2024. Plenty to explore here, while being able to unplug and unwind. *Disclaimer The creekside camping involves a road that will require vehicle clearance in order to access campsites. 4wd is not required but adequate vehicle clearance will be necessary as we have received damages from storms.
