We found this campground while trying to find a place to park our RV during our trip to Rockingham for the NASCAR truck and Xfinity races this past weekend. We were not familiar with the area, and information was not readily available online for camping options. We were quite pleased to find this option. It was a very quiet area, and had plenty of space to maneuver our 36 ft. toy hauler into our spot. We had a water and electric hookup, but sewer was a porta john tank across from our spot. I wasn't sure how that worked, so we opted to drive to a Love's Travel Center on our way home to dump our tanks. Host was very communicative, though due to our plans, we never got to meet in person. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

So we really enjoyed Scottview lake! We picked our campsite based on other reviews because there wasn’t a lot of pictures. We pulled up and the park owner met us out there and showed us where to go. Campsite 5 is in the woods and you either need a small vehicle to get in there or either hike your stuff down. If you like to be excluded from others, campsite five would be perfect for a small campsite. But the owner give us permission since no one else had scheduled to stay in any other lot that we wished. I would have to say that campsite for is by far the best site at Scott view Lake. It has its own little private fishing Cove and a nice fire pit and plenty of room. The area was extremely large and was really nice and the kids enjoyed catching fish. No water or electrical hook ups, but the owner allows folks to fill up water containers, which we done. This place is awesome and it will not be our last trip there that’s for sure. Plenty of sun for solar, charging, and plenty of shade for sun covering. If we stayed again, we would definitely stay in campsite four because I felt like it was the best campsite there. I hope this helps everyone in the future, but I definitely recommend this area and this place for camping for anybody looking for a private safe and quiet campsite.

This is a great private campground. Michelle is very nice. Full hookups, plenty of room for our 38’ 5th wheel. Lovely area, nice walking paths, donkeys, goats, roosters and a pig (we enjoyed talking to the animals). You could tell campers children loved the animals as well as a nice little playground. We enjoyed our quiet evenings there, stayed 6 nights while visiting our son at Fort Bragg. We will definitely hope to stay there again when in the area. And eat at Stewart’s in Raeford, food was very good, we had to go twice.

Quiet, lovely place to stay in our RV while visiting our son and his family. The grandchildren loved the animals on site and they had a wonderful family area. No problems with utilities . Great rates ! When we come back to visit , will definitely be staying here again. Will be our first choice.

Great campsite, very welcoming host, good hiking trail for short walks, friendly farm animals nearby with enough separation you hardly notice them unless you want to go say hi to the animals. Overall great place to be with a short drive to either Raeford or Aberdeen.

I knew I would be passing thru and in late. Though my reservation came in just a few hours before arriving, I was able to quickly make contact with Carla. We maintained great communication. The land was well maintained, the pond was beautiful (huge catfish), specious, and quiet. Sweet folks, perfectly located, I’ll be stopping in again.

What an amazing place. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Surrounded by nature, ambiance and animals I couldn’t have found a better place to stay on a quick stop while traveling. My only negative is that I didn’t stay longer. Carla, Abner and their dad were some of the best people you could ever meet and this place will be one of my favorites from now on. I will definitely come back.
