If you ever experienced, as a kid, going to the country to visit grandparents/aunt or uncles - this is an adventure just like that with dirt (mud puddles and all) driveway (approx. 1100 ft. long). This is a private property of 10 acres of lightly wooded, sloping areas with a pond and a private residence of 2300 sq. ft. which have guest rooms available as a BnB - Book rooms on AirBnB or Booking.com. It is NOT a manicured estate but rather land with mowed rustic trails with a old pond with water critters, bullfrogs, fishes, water spiders, tiny snails. We loved this little cabin! All I wanted for my birthday was a couple days in the woods, and this place was exactly what I needed. You can hear the water from the stream as you fall asleep at night, and the cabin was nice and cozy during a rainy afternoon. This was the perfect place to unplug, sit by the fire, and recharge. We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Bear Creek Haven

We loved our time at Bear Creek Haven. The cabin is extremely nice, there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Including the bunk beds, there are 4 double beds which theoretically could sleep 8 people. We had a slightly larger crew than that, so some folks put up tents outside or hammocks in the trees. Overall, we were very comfortable. There was even an air conditioner and fans provided in the cabin, most definitely a welcome addition! The cabin is just a short drive from many wineries and breweries. We checked out Americana Vineyards, Finger Lakes Cider House, Scale House Brewing, and Lively Run Dairy (they have cheese flights, and you can pet goats!) Overall, it was a great experience and we look forward to staying there again in the future. One suggestion I have is improving the directions to be more detailed, we did get a little lost when getting in. Here are the more detailed directions that I sent friends to ensure they could find the cabin: “ Once you are on Pitcher Rd you are basically going to take it to the end and then veer right at the signs. As you are going down the road you will pass the mailboxes on your right, go through the Stone bridge overpass, pass several Amish houses. Go all the way down gravel road, til you get to the signs, turn right and then left to follow bear creek haven trail.”

This adorable cedar cabin was absolutely perfect. The woods are beautiful and the trails go on and on. The cabin is completely secluded (no view of any people, homes, etc) and with everything you need for a comfortable stay! The host even gave us a free little jar of fresh raw honey from the farm they'd harvested that week!

we loved the cabin and the land SO much - thank you brooks! the wildlife in those woods were utterly *spectacular,* from the epic shows of fireflies at night...the red fox bounding joyfully across the ravine...too many iridescent damselflys to count...deer, frogs, salamanders, and more...and the most gorgeous wildflower meadows you're likely to see. we had a fantastic weekend and will definitely be back soon! the cabin is comfy and cozy and just what we needed to unwind/unplug for a couple of days. thanks so much for sharing your slice of heaven with us!

This was our fifth stay at this cozy cabin. It was snowy, beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. The creek was flowing and all of nature‘s beauty was glistening. If you need to unwind, relax and escape, then this is the place to be! Don’t forget to buy some honey from the owners. We stocked up with 14 more jars because it is just that delicious! Can’t wait to come back!
