Camping at the 103 Acre woods is part of the Marlborough Forest. It has groomed pathways in the meadow and rustic pathways through the woods for your hiking pleasure. If you are interested in backwoods camping, it's easy to do here, park your car in the driveway, grab your gear, and head to the back forty!
If camping is not your thing and you just want some private land for the day, such as a photo shoot, or just wandering around, firepit lunch or firepit dinner, just book a site. If you reserve both sites, the entire land becomes yours for the time you are here.
I only list 2 sites for camping so you will have plenty of space and privacy from any other campers. Lots of space to spread out and have your privacy. If you want complete privacy, reserve both sites!
For the tenting campsites, I have 2 available. One is in the front 40 near the playstructure and closer to the house. It's called the "Cedars". You can drive directly to your campsite.
The other campsite is a short hike into the woods and is just off to the side. It's called the "103 Paces". When staying at the 103 Paces campsite, you can drive through the meadow and park just outside of the woods. From there, there is a lawncart you can use to transport your gear to the campsite. Each campsite has a firepit for your use and is close to a shared composting toilet.
If you are staying in an RV, you can park in the driveway and still access all the other parts of the property. Tent campers can select anywhere they want to pitch a tent and enjoy the beauty of the 103 Acre woods. Depending on where you choose to camp, you might be able to drive right up to your site.
Firepit and wood available for use providing there is no burn ban. Water from the hose attached to the house is available for use. You are welcome to use the outside outlets to charge your devices. RV Electric hookup can be used for an extra fee.
I have a composting toilet in a privacy cabana. There will be sanitizer to sanitize your hands. The composting toilet is a shared facility for both campsites. Comes with toilet paper. If you prefer to have your own composting toilet, you can add that on for an extra when you are booking. It's 10.00 more for your stay.
I have a few water jugs to have water at your site if you don't have your own jug.
A compost bin is available for food. A trash can is provided for waste. Recycle bins are in use as well for paper and plastic.
I have patio table that can be used at your site if it's in the front 40. Back forty, I have a smaller more portable table that can be used. It's not too heavy to port.
Firewood is not necessary to bring, there is lots of wood locally here on the property to use, you just have to gather it up yourself. I have a wheelbarrow that can be used to transport it to your site.
There are wetlands and forests and meadows. There is very little light pollution here. Come and gaze at the stars If you are lucky, you might get to hear the resident whippoorwill, he is nocturnal. The sky is beautiful at night. Wake up to the sounds of many birds.
There is a play structure for kids with 2 slides and a bridge, monkey bars, swings, firepole, and climbing wall.
There are many things to find in the back 40. You might find a vintage car bumper, and in the spring if you look really hard, you might come across Lady Slipper orchids. They are stunning in the wild. If you want to trudge through the wetlands, be sure to bring your rubber boots. In the front 40 you can take some fun pictures with a vintage abandoned front end of an Aston Martin truck.
The 103 Acre woods is conveniently located 3K from the Rideau River and Canal in Burritt's Rapids. Burritts Rapids has a nice "Tip to Tip" trail you can hike on the island of Burritts Rapids. Also there is the Henry Street Park, which has a small beach on the Rideau River. The Rideau Trail is located nearby as well. There are many entrances to the Rideau Trail just minutes away.
Located 10 minutes or so from Merrickville. Great fishing along the Rideal Canal lock system. Merrickville has a small beach on the Rideau River. Merrickville has a wonderful Gelato place "Stella Luna". Get your Gelato and walk back to see the boats in the historic Rideau Canal. Lots of history in Merrickville and Burritt's Rapids.

This place offers a lot of good things. It’s close to the store in case you need something. Place is quiet enough to relax. You can also walk around Meg’s property. And Meg is very hospitable making sure that every hour/minute that you spend here is worth it. I’m looking forward to coming back especially when the weather is a little nicer and warmer.

Thank you Meg for the stay and hospitality. I stayed for a night and was driving from Quebec City. Meg waited till my arrival and also arranged for camp fire before I arrived. She communicated throughout the stay and was genuinely concerned about my wellbeing as I was driving back to home. She updated me with weather forecast which was very sweet of her. Her two dogs are adorable, especially wearing ring light at night. So cute! Meg is friendly and kind. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

2 nights at the Goose - Jamink Farm
The cabin was nice and quiet. It stayed pretty warm in the cold weather. Julia and her family were amazing. She was extremely accommodating and made sure that we had everything we needed. The breakfast was fantastic and we ended up doing the farm tour as well. It was cool to see all the animals and it was very thorough. We even got to feed some calves that were born the day before. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Goose and we’ll definitely be back.

Meg’s land is absolutely beautiful. I have stayed at many Hipcamp properties and this is by far my favourite. You are surrounded by natural beauty all around. Meg is an excellent host and was incredibly helpful. From the moment I arrived she made me feel at home. It is easy to tell that she is passionate about her property and loves to share it with fellow nature-lovers. I definitely recommend spending the extra couple of bucks to have the composting toilet; It was very convenient. The location is also very convenient. It allows you to be away from it all, but only 15-20 minutes from anything you need or want. I highly recommend Meg’s 103 acres for your next camping trip to the area. I know I’ll be back!

We had a wonderful time, the camp was lovingly maintained. They had everything we needed from plates to silverware and cooking utensils to pans. There was a lot of local wildlife that wandered through including a hunting marmot. It was an amazing time away from it all and cannot recommend it enough

My husband and I came here for our first wedding anniversary. We had an amazing time! Choleena and Larry were the perfect hosts- super helpful, non-intrusive and even told us we could check out at anytime on our last day. The cabin was also great, very clean and well taken care of. Super close to Perth which is a very charming town. We would certainly love to return!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property with my RV, and it was such a peaceful and refreshing experience. From the moment I arrived, I could feel how quiet and calm the surroundings were, making it the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The site was easy to access with my motorhome, and I felt comfortable and safe the entire time I was there.
What I appreciated most was how natural and serene the environment felt. Waking up to the sound of birds and enjoying the stillness of the morning with a cup of coffee right outside my RV made the stay extra special. At night, the stars were bright and clear, reminding me of why camping is so unique compared to staying anywhere else.
The property was well-kept and inviting, with plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded. Everything about the stay made me feel at ease, and it really allowed me to enjoy the simple things—fresh air, quiet moments, and a cozy place to park and rest.
I will definitely be coming back again in the future. This is a place I would happily recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful RV getaway.

We had a fantastic time at Jamink farm, it is just a picture perfect cozy cabin by a pond. Lots of activities to do, there are kayaks, paddleboards, canoe at your disposal. The cabin is equipped with everything you could want. We highly recommend the breakfast bundle, all the items were fresh and yummy!! Definitely adding to our favourite escapes.

This weekend was absolutely one of the most enjoyable weekends of my summer. It was so nice to unplug, Choleena & Larry ordered and set up an alternative to being able to have a fire during the ban, which was amazing, and it was so private and peaceful. I feel very refreshed and we certainly discussed coming back in the winter to further enjoy what the land has to offer. Not the mention the hosts are very thoughtful and ready to help. Camping on Kat’s property was amazing! We were a ground of 8 staying in the meadow and it was gorgeous and extremely private. There was another party at one of the other sites and we never even saw or heard them! We were able to take the kayaks out on the pond which was such a nice touch for those to be available for use! They leave lots of fire wood on the site for purchase which was a nice touch so we could help ourselves and enjoy a nice fire! We saw lots of frogs and interesting birds, and we really felt like we were completely off grid.
The porta-potty is a pretty standard porta potty, gets the job done and was well maintained. It a short distance down the road from the site and easy to find.
Additionally, we ended up having a dead car battery when we went to leave and Kat and Lionel were quick to come help us, and when just a boost wouldn’t cut it they actually took our batteries for a few hours to charge them. We ended up having to leave the car their overnight until we could get a new battery and they were incredibly kind and understanding, even offered us food and drinks and said we could stay over an extra night. The kindness and hospitality they showed to us has definitely gained them return customers! We can’t wait for our next stay with you guys! :)

We had a great experience at The Meadows. The campsite is beautiful, quiet and private with freedom to roam trails and woods. Close enough to amenities, lakes and campgrounds to explore without being surrounded by dozens of other campers.
The host, Kat, was super easy to deal with. All around an awesome experience.
