Then sometime near 1900 the farm was split between two brothers, each receiving 50 acres. The home was originally built in 1903 and is currently updated and remodeled for today’s codes and standards. 47 acres of accessible woods and pasture remain for hiking and at the top of the property a breath-taking view across Lake Erie into Ontario Canada. There are 4 wonderful wineries within 5 miles of your door, bring a bottle home and enjoy it by an outdoor campfire, or just sit on the patio and look up at the night sky. In the morning you can make your coffee by the cup, or carafe then sit on the patio and watch the sunrise. Major department and food stores are just minutes away. We stayed at The Quarry in our 32 foot Class A motorhome - Neil was very responsive and made sure that we were settled in. He gave us our choice of sites with electric and even helped us set up the internet to watch the Bills game! Our site had electric and we filled up with water at a spigot very close to where we parked. There is a very nice womens/mens bathroom close to our site with two tiled showers each which we used. The weather was great during our stay and scenery beautiful with ponds complete with ducks and geese. Our dogs loved the many fields and trails to walk. We look forward to staying again - thanks Neil!

This was hands down the best Hipcamp I’ve been to in a long while. So clean, so peaceful, so beautiful. Just perfect. It looks like a golf course, it’s so well kept. I didn’t have any neighbors during my stay so even better lol. The nearby town is adorable and it’s sooo close to the eternal flame (thanks Neil for letting me know!)

Gorgeous spot! So peaceful and Neil was super helpful. They had wood and ice for sale. The bathrooms were clean. There were fire pits and picnic tables, and our choice of where to make camp. Just far enough from it all to relax but close enough to spend a fun day at Niagara Falls.

2 nights at The Quarry

We had a wonderful time camping at the Quarry, which was a perfect 25 minute drive to Niagara Falls! The view of the quarry was great, and the bathrooms were in excellent condition (great to have a hot shower while camping). Neil was a friendly and helpful host, and we would absolutely come back!

Weekend Trip to Wood Spring Club, Inc. (since 1957)

Wood springs was beautiful rustic camping. Honestly everything I was looking for. Brought my 6yo, 4yo and 6month old so I’m always struggling to find more rustic sites that are still easily accessible and this perfectly fit the bill. They reached out on their own to let me know that there was another site that was shadier and offered us to go there which was so thoughtful. When we arrived i was a little nervous about how many tents were there- though they’re all very spaced out and private (my kids just don’t sleep so I always worry we will keep others awake), but we only saw 3 people actually there- on a Friday night. So it was very quiet and peaceful. We ended up staying just on the other side of the creek- howick bend? I think it was called. And it was perfect for our 10 person tent, my mini van and room to play. The pond was nicer than I expected on the “beach” side- they clearly take care of it and it’s sandy- there were kayaks and even some life jackets there we could use. We didn’t venture around too much but stroller walking was easy and creek walking was perfect for the kids and me baby wearing. The outhouses seemed nicely dispersed and we were right by one and there wasn’t any smell and they were very well kept. Two of the people we saw talked to us and told us they were members and were happy to help if we needed anything.

A beautiful place to lose yourself in WNY. Close enough to enjoy the small town life in East Aurora and a short trip back to camp for a piece of country. Very safe and secure with private entrance and exit.

This was a quick trip close to our home. We didn't have to share with anyone, we seemed to be the only ones there. Quiet, pretty, and lots of walking for the dog.
