Clearing Farm

2 sites · Lodging100 acres · Glen Spey, NY
Welcome to Clearing Farm! Our grounds expand over 100 acres with many private hiking trails, a big field and cascading waterfalls. Visit our Instagram @clearingfarm to find out more. Please note while our cabin is a premium experience on a working farm, it is still an outdoor experience that takes place deep in the woods, off the grid and in a cabin built from earthy or recycled materials. It is a far cry from a typical hotel or traditional glamping. This Clearing Farm off-grid cabin is located on our 100+ acre farm. You'll be staying right next to a waterfall and able to enjoy all our land features. Experience a private campsite equipped with a Casper Full Mattress, fire pit and charcoal grill. Please note there is 1 bed at the property but room next to the cabin to bring and put up additional tents. THERE IS NO LONGER THE WOOD BURNING STOVE IN THE CABIN - THE TOWN MADE US TAKE IT OUT.

Moon In The Pond Farm

5 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents35 acres · Sheffield, MA
Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a little bit of heaven. There are six separate sites to choose from. All are in separate, different locations around the farm, so you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be sharing a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. There's the BellTent--a bit of "glamping". And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided) Our campsites are located in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, three others are under the trees on the edges of different farm fields, one is a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars. During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay. Wanna hike? We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy preserved land. It meanders through woodlands, around rock ledges, through wetlands (on a 600' of boardwalk) and ends at a beautiful stream and pond with a gigantic beaver dam. Not far from here are numerous well-marked hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail (with famous Bash Bish Falls) and several offshoots (Sage's Ravine, Race Brook Falls), Bartholomew's Cobble, Umpacheenee Falls, and others). Also in the neighborhood are opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, off-road, gavel-road and country-road biking, snowshoeing, cc skiing and pretty much any outdoor activity/adventure opportunity. Or... you can just chill and relax, sleep, or read the day away! Love food? This is Farm-to-Table for real! Never so close--the table's AT the farm!! Bring your cooking gear and get some of our wicked fresh organic food--veggies, chops, sausages, eggs, bacon, granola, yogurt, etc. Sear yourself up a real treat! Very nearby, as the Berkshires is an alternative cultural mecca, there are also numerous entertainment opportunities from many great restaurants to art, dance, music, spas, galleries, antique shops, museums, cafes and much more. It's still amazingly quiet at the farm where the Milky Way is clearly visible.

It's officially Summer in the Catskill mountains! You will drive the most scenic road in the USA to get here! (Route 97, The Hawks Nest, Google it!!) You can shop, explore, hike, or go boating, fishing, or kayaking. Have a BBQ, campfire or take a hike through the public state land trails that I am surrounded by. Expect to see wild animals, and beautiful scenery. Stargazing is a must on a clear night. Short drive to the Delaware river to go white water rafting. You wont be completely isolated...a short 4 mile drive brings you to a small town grocery store for last minute items, and an atm. There is also a famous Buddhist temple in the mountains. (Short drive) Do you want to watch an outdoor play? We have that too. Your ears might pop. The camper is 2300 feet elevated. Expect a curvy mountain drive to get here. I live in a private lake community with a short walk to the lake! You can hike, shop or explore here...then come back to your campsite for a quiet dinner outside, with a campfire. This is a low key, de-stress quiet vibe here. Bring your dog!! You will stay in my camper, or pitch a tent. It's really up to you. My camper has cold running water, electricity and a toilet and shower. The appliances inside are a camper fridge with a mini freezer, a double burner hotplate, a coffee pot, and a microwave. The camper has a full size bed, and I provide sheets, and towels for you to use. For rainy days, I have board games and books stored in one of the closets, and there is also a radio that is built into the camper that has a great signal. The camper also has pots, pans, cups, plates and silverware, along with utensils to BBQ. I have a firepit that you can cook on an open flame, a charcoal BBQ... or you can use the camper hotplate or microwave. You can bring devices to charge them up, or watch a movie on one of your devices. You will have cell phone service and access to my WiFi upon arrival. My listing is cross listed on other platforms, and most people love it. If you have any further questions, send me a message!

We hope you enjoy it as much as we have! 🛶Learn more about this land: Experience this special piece of lakefront property on Silver Lake outside the village of Mountain Dale in the Catskills. 🎪Have the entire property to yourself as you nest in a large 16 foot all season Bell tent. The tent has been carefully curated and styled by the designer/photography duo hosts, and boasts an eclectic, refined chic style. ☕️Inside the tent is a queen size bed, nightstands, lanterns, solar powered central fixture, two dining chairs, coat stand, clothes rack, fresh towels, cabinet for keeping glasses, plates, cutlery, French press, stove kettle, tea, coffee, water, pasta, basic condiments, wood burning stove with kindling and logs, A Jackery power station for charging laptops, phones, and other small items (see images to see what’s compatible. 🩴Just outside the tent is a cooler which keeps food cold for up to 10 days! We provide ice at the beginning of the stay. This also doubles as a bench to sit and remove shoes before entering the tent. We provide slippers for inside the tent, and recommend shoes that slip on and off easily for going in and out of the tent quickly. 🍳For cooking there is a 4 burner barbecue grill and stovetop, console to prepare, plastic sink for washing utensils and dishes. The land lights up at sunset as solar string lights hang to illuminate the cooking area, wash area, bath area, dining area. Our path to the lake can get a bit muddy in areas after wet weather. Parking is about 500 ft from the tent, so please keep this in mind with regards to bags/luggage. About Mountain Dale: “Tucked in the majestic Sullivan County Catskills, the secluded hamlet of Mountaindale has become known in recent years for its cultivated resurgence. Its once-sleepy Main Street is now home to a vibrant constellation of hip independent businesses, from well-curated lifestyle shops to a sound meditation studio to a pizza shop slinging naturally fermented pies and biodynamic wines.” Getting around couldn’t be easier. Rails to Trails provides a mile long bike path directly from Silver Lake to town. Ask us about bike rentals. The town is very much a weekend town with most of the action coming Thursday night - Sunday. Be prepared for quiet time and closed stores Monday through Wednesday.
