It is a perfect place for bird watching, seeing other wildlife, and stargazing. Please be aware that you will find ticks, mosquitoes, and poison ivy throughout the woods. We are actively using regenerative approaches to manage these issues, but they are an unfortunate part of nature and we ask you to use caution. Please don't hesitate to ask if you need help with identifying anything. We are located a few minutes away from the beautiful and historic Medina village, along the Erie canal, where you will find several cute shops, restaurants and bars. There is also a boat launch, a skatepark, several playgrounds, and grocery stores within a few minutes from us, and we are just down the road from the National Iroquois Wildlife refuge. Niagara Falls, Buffalo, and Rochester are all within about an hour drive as well if you're looking for a central base from which to explore the WNY region.

Weekend Trip to Bloom Fields Secluded Woods
We spent a couple days on Karin's property and we had a great time. The site we stayed on was the site with the camper. My daughter, her husband and their 2-year-old stayed in the camper. My wife and I setup a tent on the same site. The camper was really nice for the kids because my daughter is pregnant and they didn't have to worry about climbing in and out of a tent or sleeping on a blowup mattress. The site is nice and opens to a field with a couple horses. Karin and her husband let us bring the granddaughter into the barn area to visit with the horses, a couple goats and chickens. She also let my granddaughter play on the swing set they have at their home. The site also has a fire pit and Jim brought us some firewood. We had also stopped to get some firewood on the way there, but it was really nice they gave us some. There is plenty of kindling laying around to get the fire started. The site is nicely shaded so you don't have to bring a pop-up to block the sun. Karin also gave us a half dozen eggs, put some kid's books in the camper and gave us some stuff to make s'mores with. The camper was stocked with all the cooking and eating utensils you might need. There were towels in the bathroom and the bed was freshly made. We were able to park our vehicles at the campsite. We didn't explore the surrounding area because we were there for a short time and wanted to relax. Karin and Jim are wonderful hosts, and the place is great to get away for a while.

We had a great stay - the cabins are centrally located for most hikes, only 30 mins from Ithaca 40 mins from Corning. The cabin was spacious, had very comfortable beds, fans and other helpful amenities. The bathrooms are quite nice too. Jackie was a good host, met us at the start and even lent us a few of her own kitchen supplies so we could make eggs and breakfast. Know that you should bring your own grill and cooking supplies, and chairs for around the fire if you want. It’s right off a somewhat busy road and you can hear car’s, but we slept well. We would definitely return.

Our property is very wooded,, secluded area on two and a half acres., it is on a hill, parking is about a football field distance from the campsite, rugged walking, very doable, bring appropriate footwear. We are nestled on a private road on top of a hill backed up to 2100 acres of New York Gaundry Hill State Forest. There's waterways with active Beaver ponds between our properties. We do have bear and a mountain lion up here. We are 420 friendly! Sites are on top of the hill in a very secluded spot with a small campfire. We offer organic vegetables from the garden and work almost everyday in our blacksmith/woodworking shop. For a nice experience for adventurous families, you are welcome to accompany us on our herding of our goats/milking, collect eggs for your own breakfast. We offer a unique place to unwind. Conveniently located near Watkins Glenn, Corning, Bath, and Penn Yan. Perfect get away and an inexpensive alternative to the hotels when you go to the races, lakes, wine tours, museums or many other great attractions around our area. Our home, vegetable and herb gardens, mini-orchard of various fruit trees, and little farm are situated on the front few acres with the forest and campsites situated behind the barn and pond. We currently have an off-grid luxury tent set up for your use in a small clearing near the front portion of the forest, as well as several spots throughout the forest available if you prefer rustic tent camping with your own set up. We're still growing, and hope to add water and electric one day, but for now we welcome you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and enjoy the off-grid experience. We have a communal portapotty set up with a makeshift handwashing station for your use, and you can feel free to bring a generator or rent ours. We are happy to provide tours of the farm where you can meet the animals, or to show you around the forest. There are several easy trails throughout the woods, along which you will find raspberries, blackberries, mushrooms and other things to forage at various times of the year. It is a perfect place for bird watching, seeing other wildlife, and stargazing. Please be aware that you will find ticks, mosquitoes, and poison ivy throughout the woods. We are actively using regenerative approaches to manage these issues, but they are an unfortunate part of nature and we ask you to use caution. Please don't hesitate to ask if you need help with identifying anything. We are located a few minutes away from the beautiful and historic Medina village, along the Erie canal, where you will find several cute shops, restaurants and bars. There is also a boat launch, a skatepark, several playgrounds, and grocery stores within a few minutes from us, and we are just down the road from the National Iroquois Wildlife refuge. Niagara Falls, Buffalo, and Rochester are all within about an hour drive as well if you're looking for a central base from which to explore the WNY region.

Built of whole pine logs all four are spacious one-room cabins with electricity, hardwood floors and stone fireplaces. The cabins are equipped with table, chairs, comfortable beds, dressers, stove and fridge. Two of the cabins will accommodate three persons and the other two will accommodate up to 6 people. A Bath House in the center of the campsite is convenient to all four cabins and contains a separate mens and women section with showers, toilets and sinks. Guests are encouraged to provide their own towels and bed linens to avoid per bed linen fee. The Rustic Log Cabins are located on the east side of Seneca Lake on Route 414 in the town of Hector. We are central to the Finger Lakes National Forest, wineries & breweries, Watkins Glen State Park and also the towns of Corning, Geneva, Ithaca, Seneca Falls and Hammondsport NY.
