How’s that for a pedigree? The swimming might not be great but there's plenty to do at the shallowest of the Great Lakes. It’s a great place to picnic, watch the migratory birds, fish, and lounge on the beach. Take a canoe or a kayak out on the lake. Take advantage of the winter snow to go cross-country skiing. There’s even a disc golf course called Shipwreck Bluff Disc Golf Course. Forgot your putter at home? You can pick up a spare from the visitor center. In addition to the 97 campsites (tent & RV), there are 10 cabins in this 355-acre campground, with plenty of views of bluffs and protected water to go around. People rave about the sunsets here. Since the sites are lakeside, you can watch from the comfort of your camp chair. Once you’ve had your fill of lake life, head over to Niagara Falls. It’s just a short drive down the road.

This is a campsite that has picturesque view of surrounding farmland and of Peek-n-Peak. Located conveniently off of Rt426 with a slight drive along a field to reach the destination. Private and out of the way. Plenty of wildlife (family of fox and usually mamma deer and her babies, can normally be seen doing what animals do. Close to Peek-n-Peak and Findley Lake and its many amenities. Has fantastic cell reception so remote working is an absolute possibility if longer stays are wanted. This is a little campsite on top of a hillside besides, you guessed it, a big oak. This is on a working hay farm, so depending on when you arrive you might be able to see hay being harvested. Again, this a newer campsite so improvements will be made based on demand. New and hopefully "easier to get to campsite" entrance: To enter the property, you will use a field entrance right off Harrington Hill Road (coming from the west it will be on your left-hand side). Entrance is directly across from the wooded area where the campsite is at and you will be going through an active hay field to reach it, but the path should be defined enough in the field that you can follow the tracks from previous cars.

Recommended Best Practices: -pack all food, wrappers, trash, toothpaste, lip balms, sunscreen, soaps, and scented toiletries inside the bear canisters. Non-clear canisters are recommended as bears have learned to access clear container models. -keep bear containment canister on level ground at least 100 feet from your sleeping and cooking area. -do not hang or attach ropes to the container- bears have learned to use the rope to take the canister with them, and do not leave scented items in tents or vehicle trunks. Remember to lock your vehicle. Please refer to the NYS DEC website for further updates and information on safety and camping near NY state forests.

Welcome to our charming cabin, built in the summer of 2022 from a simple 12X26 Amish frame. *Important note: Lake Rd is busy and there will be road noise that dies down after 11pm. There is a historic and active railroad line behind the cabin and you will hear the train pass through the day and night. Some people have found it cool or relaxing but others have not. Nestled on its own 4-acre parcel within our family's 12-acre plot, this cozy retreat offers a private driveway and setting for your getaway. New additions this year include a fire ring and porta-potty, adding to the complete experience of your stay. Just a mile down the road, you'll find access to Lake Erie, boasting a small beach and kayak slip. On clear nights, don't miss the opportunity to gaze at the stunning stars above. Your host, Brian, has infused the cabin with photography and treasures from his global journeys, adding a unique touch to your stay. The hosts philosophy is to not bother you at all during your stay unless you have a specific need or concern, so your stay is all yours. The price is kept low to reflect this a campsite rental, not a hosted Airbnb. With that said every effort is made to make things comfy. Features include: - Private driveway - 12-foot porch with a porch bar - Four windows for a refreshing cross breeze (East-West orientation) - Finished floors, walls, and ceiling, with insulated walls for comfort - - 7-slot vinyl record bar for music enthusiasts - Wood stove (available November - February) - Lockable doors for security - Fire ring and camping chairs for outdoor enjoyment - Porta-potty with pump sink - Garbage bin and dish sink -Common Kitchen items like plates, bowls, cups, cutlery etc… -Garbage Bags (If garbage is used please take with you upon departure) True campsite experience and not an Airbnb rental, meaning there is no electricity, water, or sewer on the property. However, we provide battery packs and solar options for your convenience. The dish sink operates with a foot pump connected to a 5-gallon water jug. Guests are welcome to bring their own wood or explore the surrounding area for available resources. For your safety, please exercise caution when venturing into the woods and avoid approaching the active train tracks located at the back of the property. While the passing train adds to the rustic charm of the setting, it may NOT be suitable for light sleepers. Road traffic noise tends to calm down in quiet hours. Bed sleeps 2 but up to 3 welcome. We hope you enjoy your stay at what we believe is the coziest camp in WNY. Feel free to reach out with any questions or special requests. We look forward to hosting you soon!

Experience the serenity of nature at its finest with our 3.4-acre bare land sanctuary. Nestled amidst a breathtaking tree and grape vineyard landscape across the street, this private retreat boasts a tranquil pond that reflects the beauty of the surrounding foliage and towering trees. The musical roar of the nearby train track adds a touch of nostalgia to an otherwise peaceful ambiance, creating a truly unique and unforgettable setting. You'll feel the vibrations of the train on the grounds. ***There is no fencing for dogs, and since it's near train track, please keep an eye on your dogs. We recommend bringing earplugs because trains go at all hours and blares their horns.*** Pitch your tent, park your RV, camper or tiny home and get away from the traffic! We plan to add an RV pedestal for electricity sometime in July. There is a tiny home on the property that is off limits. The plan is to add well water and electricity in 2027 (check back for updates). The owner lives nearby in Fredonia but sometimes camps on the land with her dog. Enjoy exploring nature onsite or at one of many nearby parks. Casinos are also close-ish for a fun night out. Have a nice fire at night to cook on or just relax and take in the serene surroundings. Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the rejuvenating embrace of nature. Explore, cast a line in the pond, or simply bask in the natural splendor that surrounds you. With ample space and privacy, this idyllic sanctuary offers the perfect backdrop for creating cherished memories with loved ones or finding solace in solitude.
