Little Valley

4 sites · RVs, Tents4 acres · Wyoming, NY
We have a small, 4 acre spot in the country, surrounded by farmland and woodland, and it adjoins hundreds of acres of state land and private property that both allow for hiking, nature walks, bird spotting, biking, and quiet. We're close to Letchworth State Park, quaint country villages, Darien Lake, and we're 40 minutes from Buffalo and Rochester. We have a large tent available, and space for RVs and campers. Here is a video made recently by a couple who thoroughly enjoyed their time at our site. (It's a longer video - skip to 8 min 40 seconds to see their arrival at the tent.) https://youtu.be/BM6I83-d31g?feature=shared

Tomtuga on the Erie Canal

4 sites · RVs2 acres · Gasport, NY
Thank you for looking at what I have to offer. We love to have fun here. Which is why we call our little campground Tomtuga. It is sort of a reference of the Caribbean pirate island of Tortuga, except my name is Tom. I'm here mostly for the canal and living the pirate life but there have been sightings of Bigfoot and his cousin Yeti. They show up once in awhile to keep things interesting.  Here at Tomtuga we are 2 acres with the Erie Canal across the front on a quiet street and the Genesee Valley Transportation, a local shortline railroad across the backyard. Boat season is May - Oct. Train runs mostly just two days a week all year. Step out and give the boats and trains a friendly wave.   We are a hard packed base that can handle the very large RVs. Campsite #1 is where the 50amp / 30amp / 110 electric outlets are.  Campsite #2 is the only area that has a "good" grassy spot. There is no electricity here at this site. With only two campsites, along with my RV here, it is a rather peaceful camp. There are no bathrooms here, so I'm sorry but no tent camping available. We offer ''Buddy Camping'', in which if you are traveling with friends in a 2nd RV / camper. I allow you to both camp on the same campsite or split and use both sites. We can rent more campsites in our ''Overflow Site #3'', if you have more than two campers coming. Either way you will then need to rent both sites. You can also use tents in the grass area, if you brought them with you.  Also if you don't need power, like you have solar or batteries etc. I might allow you to park anywhere on our two acres. You can check the property out before setting up. I allow 2nd vehicles or also ''toads'' on the campsites too at no charge.   I'm Ok if you show up early from an overnight drive to the site and park in the main driveway. If there are not any previous campers onsite, I might let you into the site. Just let me know beforehand.  *No bathrooms on the property! You must have self contained units! When I get the bathroom built, this will change. **Again, NO Bathrooms here! If you try to book posing as a ''campervan'' but just a van or staying in a cardboard box on a trailer, don't book here. Please go stealth camp at Walmart, they have bathrooms and are free to overnight. I wouldn't pee in your yard.  No water hookups. No dumpstation either. We have free WiFi. Firewood available for $5 a bundle or bring your own. The local gas station has small bundles down the street for $8 each. * Please ask me before you let any of your dogs off leash. If there are other campers here, we all need to be in agreement on this. For their children and pets safety too. I do allow multiple dogs here. Again, please clean up after them. Do NOT just toss it into my woods or the canal.  Nice small canal town here with local eateries, including two pizza places; two bars and a breakfast lunch spot / laundromat / hardware store / Dollar General / gas station. We have a veterinary in town too.  All within a short walking distance.   NYS Bike path on the opposite side of the canal, goes from Buffalo to Albany. Some 350 miles.  Also a free NYS Canal boat ramp 1,800ft to the east, on our side of the canal. So bring your bikes / kayaks / boats / fishing poles. Rentals available in Lockport. Worms available at the hardware store in town. We are also open during the winter season, Uh yep. Please message me before hand because it depends on the snow depth if I'm letting campers in. *Special Bonus Offer - I am an online ordained minister and offer wedding nuptials here at Camp Tomtuga. Our twist is having your vows done by Rev Bigfoot or Padre Yeti in full regalia. Comes with an actual legal wedding license. Cake is an extra fee. NO Dumpstation here!!! There is one 20 minutes south, just off the NY Thruway at the Flying J Truck Stop. 8484 Allegheny Rd, Pembroke. It is in the RV fuel island. Costs is $10. Get the code inside. *Ask about our free camper sticker or buying a Camp Tomtuga T-shirt. The shirts are Made to Order and can be mailed out afterwards. Hey if you could, when on the booking page it asks you to "Say Hello". Please tell me what kind of camper you are coming in like an RV or trailer and the size. It asks you that question right above that but I don't receive that info till much later. It just helps me gauge on placement here. I have plenty of room but it's nice to know what it showing up. Thanks Lots of people asking so, we are 30 miles from Niagara Falls. Very easy ride there and back using NYS Rt 104. This route goes along the Niagara escarpment with lots of farms stands and a few wineries.  Most of my guests use my campsites as a basecamp to then go and explore Niagara Falls or even day trip to Toronto Canada 106 miles away. I provide a list of local NY info / places to visit in Canada and my experience on crossing the border.  My camp to downtown Buffalo is 38 miles. To downtown Rochester is 51 miles. Lake Ontario Olcott Beach is 17 miles. Letchworth NYS Park 60 miles. We are 42 miles to the Buffalo Bills (Highmark Stadium). Thanks again, I hope you come and stay.

Mission Hemlock Grove

4 sites · RVs, Tents200 acres · Conesus, NY
Welcome, Mission Conesus, originally built by Franciscan Catholics. These lands were likely chosen for many reasons. Suffice it to say there is something special here. Come discover for yourself. Lose yourself here, or maybe find yourself, among the Hemlocks. First, a bit about the terrain. There is much in the way of forest, very mature, and a broad array of plant species. Elevation differences are vast, land to the west is uphill for quite a ways, and downhill to the east, to Hemlock lake below, so the world here can feel a bit tilted. We adjoin 150 acres of nature conservancy lands that nobody seems to know about. These lands are for respectful public daytime use. We also adjoin 6600 acres of NY state forest which is public property. Exploring all that is here would take a very long time! Want to get away? Welcome to our little slice of heaven. We are just getting started in the camping space, but for now, we're accepting bookings and looking forward to hosting you, at the mission. Lil' Bit of Country

9 sites · Tents10 acres · Victor, NY
If you ever experienced, as a kid, going to the country to visit grandparents - this is an adventure just like that with dirt (mud puddles and all) driveway (approx. 1000 ft. long). This is a private property of 10 acres of lightly wooded, sloping areas with a pond and a private residence of 2300 sq. ft. which have guest rooms available as a BnB - Book rooms on Booking.com or AirBnB. It is NOT a manicured estate but rather land with mowed rustic trails with a old pond with water critters, bullfrogs, fishes, water spiders, tiny snails. There is an occasional Blue Herring, Wood Ducks and Canadian Geese that stop by as well as other wildlife.

Mountainside Camp

6 sites · Tents4 acres · Naples, NY
Mountainside Camp is actually 6 miles from Naples in the Town of Italy, NY at the Southern tip of Canandaigua Lake. This is a carry in/carry out camp site. This location is "Dry Camping"; no water or electric; just a port a potty. Italy Valley is a gorgeous hidden part of New York. Be one with The Great Outdoors near New York's picturesque Canandaigua Lake in the Finger Lakes. Our Mountainside Camp offers a retreat for the fully equipped camper who wants to get off the beaten path. There is an Eagle's Nest about 2 miles North on Route 245, pass Coward Rd., watch across valley in a big dead tree about 400 yards away. When you see the nest, you'll know it. I've seen an Eagle perching on the tree. Here, you're within driving and biking distance to the Town of Naples, NY (Grimes Glen Park), and Canandaigua Lake, and all of the beauty and culture of the Finger Lakes Region is at your doorstep: vineyards and wine tours, water fun on the lake... and so much more. Within an hours drive you can bike, hike, camp fish, boat or swim in 7 of the 11 FINGER LAKES (Conesus, Hemlock, Canadice, Honeoye, Canandaigua, Keuka, and Seneca. Keep truckin' and hit Cayuga, Owasco, Skaneateles and Otisco. (or 90 minutes until you reach the 11th FINGER LAKE, Otisco) The camp has come along way since it was established (June 2017) when our Scout Camper came to stay***, with "Base Camp" site maturing with level tent sites, fire pits, benches, tables, port-a-potty. "Hawks Landing" site (1/2 way up the hill) making progress as well, not so much road noise up here. "Eagles Nest"; all the way up is the most private deep in the woods, 1000 feet back! More carved out camp sites to come soon I hope. ***Carry in and carry out. I'm shocked at the liter left by some campers. This is a simple privately owned piece of land that I've been renting out for the lower cost, no frills private location. PLEASE just leave as you find it; most do, thank you.

High Falls Farm

1 site · Lodging11 acres · Strykersville, NY
Property is 10 miles from East Aurora, 30 miles from Buffalo, 25 miles from Batavia Located on a small homestead farm with free range chickens, ducks, cantankerous geese, as well as dwarf goats, honey bees and a blind dog--so please drive slowly. Farm encompasses a mature hardwood forest, large organic vegetable garden, pollinator gardens, plant nursery, fruit and nut trees and shrubs. A diverse population of wild birds visit and nest here, including our summer pond resident green heron. A creek with waterfall runs through the property. Cabin is on the edge of a tree-lined pond. Host will meet with you upon arrival to give overview of land layout. We live and work here, but will respect your privacy and space. We ask that you please do the same, which includes all the living inhabitants here. We are in farm country, so at times there may be tractors, manure spreading, mowing, etc. in nearby fields. Also, the frogs make quite a ruckus on the pond in the evening.

Whenland Eco-Trailer

1 site · Lodging3 acres · Naples, NY
A lovely, 3 acre plot of secluded land surrounded by cute ponds and decorated with sculptures. A small campfire spot, wood stove in the trailer and a composting toilet. Want to unplug and get away from the busy life? Most mobile phones do not work here! We have only minimal solar electricity, and there is a propane stove as well! Two double beds, one single, and a couple of nice cots. Tent Sites abound! We bought this property about four years ago. It was trashed by the previous owner and had an old dilapidated trailer in the middle of it. We cleaned and cleaned, then we ripped out the bad parts of the trailer and rebuilt the insides, placed a huge metal roof over the whole thing and put in a composting outhouse. There's no running water, and phones don't get reception, so you can truly unplug and decompress in this lovely, quiet piece of land which is close to a ton of hiking / forest land and just down the road from Cummings Nature Center, a great place for family exploration and learning.
