Great little house with all of the basic amenities someone looking for a place not too rustic would love. Harvey was extremely friendly, and gave us any and all of the privacy we could want. The dirt roads are pretty bumpy, so if you come in a standard height car take it slow.

A great retreat into the mountains. We hiked from the cabin and also drove to and hiked in Valles Caldera. Magical location. Beds were very comfortable. Cabin amenities were good. Just take care driving on the unpaved road up to the cabin. Stay center when possible to avoid ditches on the right.

The area is absolutely beautiful!! And Duc was amazing and accommodating! We felt welcomed and taken care of. Our cabin was lovely, and the area of the river we could walk to was absolutely stunning! Nice, quiet site. Very comfortable accommodations with everything we needed for our stay. We were able to walk to the river as well as the trails up by Cowles Pond. We also enjoyed hiking the Cave Creek trail which was just a few minutes up the road. Duc was a great host and taught us how to build the best campfire of our lives.

Jen’s cabin was perfect for a quick escape from the dust! The smell of the pine trees as we opened the car door on arrival was fabulous, and the cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing overnight retreat. We brought blankets with us and made a bed under the stars for the AMAZING night sky; even saw a shooting star, the sky was so clear. Enjoyed reading Jen’s memoirs of the time and work she and Zac have put into the place. We would definitely come back.
