Nestled outside the village of Stillwater, NJ right across the Appalachian trail and the Kittatinny Mountain Ridge, Camp David sports three luxurious log cabins: > Bell's Cabin- Main cabin that sleeps up to six > The Chatham House- Sleeps up to ten > Chief's Cottage- sleeps up to ten All cabins have their own separate listing and can be booked together or combined. The main cabin, Belle's Cabin, is made from hand hewed logs and is the only cabin furnished with a king size bed. All cabins come equipped with full bathrooms, updated kitchens, wood stoves, and the main cabin has a walkout porch on the second floor. All cabins have climate controlled heating/cooling units as well as hot water. Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life. The camp consists of 13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land. There are two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, multiple fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables, and multiple park benches located throughout the property. This beautiful and private 97 acre horse farm is made up of beautiful rolling fields filled with horses. The property is nicely surrounded in beautiful woods with plenty of nature to watch. The property was originally used for farming then converted to dairy. And now a horse farm. This farm was established around 1815. . We enjoy meeting new people and being able to share this wonderful property!

Now our children has taking it over and are raising beef cattle on the property. Our campsite lies on the beautiful two and a half century old LeFevre family farmstead with rich history and stunning views of the Shawangunk Mountain ridge. The property is on a 40-acre old apple orchard that is super private and filled with dramatic views and spectacular sunsets. I have to say, first initial sight, I was confused. I didn't know where I was at. Im glad raplh had us meet because I would have probably driven to the wrong portion of the land. The land is huge. I needed an electrical for my van but I didn't have the right outlet. Ralph helped me with that. He's great. We had such a lovely stay. Everyone we encountered in the town was just amazing and friendly. Ralph was very helpful with any questions we had and very patience.. Overall, we had such a great time. Ty again for everything.

Ralph is an amazing host. The county park we intended to stay at was closed, however, a county employee recommended Ralph. We contacted him very late in the afternoon and he responded within 10 minutes!!! Several sites with grassy areas, plenty of room for our 45' truck/trailer. Power is available if needed. Very quiet location, our dogs loved to run across the fields. ATT-2

We loved camping on Ralph's horse farm with our small teardrop camper. We used a site that had electric hookup and Ralph filled our fresh water tank from his well. He and his dog Minnie gave us a great tour of the property. The horses are beautiful. Ralph was super friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend it!

The landscape is breathtaking…..then you add in horses grazing so peacefully, what could be better. Wonderful area to walk and take in all the natural beauty of the property. Luna, resident kitty 🐈‍⬛ is a joy, and Minnie is Ralph’s sidekick and sweet as can be. Just a wholesome place to spend the end of the day and sleep in a quiet bubble. This is my second stay and plan on more. Ralph is a special host, you will feel right at home as he shares his property with you.

I arrived late and Ralph was there to guide me in to my spot and help me set up power. So peaceful and serene. In the morning found a walk on the property to be both refreshing and absolutely beautiful. Loved meeting the horses, goats, chickens, turkey, farm dog Mitzi (sp?) and kitty! They were delightful! Ralph was a special Host giving me his time and company on a tour of the property. Loved hearing the history!! Missed the sunset….I’ll be back for that and soak up more farm life.

Ralph was more than accommodating and Minnie was a sweetheart! A gem of a spot, I highly recommend for a private, peaceful getaway. The only thing small about this place is the number of spots, they are HUGE though! Lots of gravel paths through the farm to walk along. Not your typical campground, a special place of it's own.

We camped here over a weekend while do some rock climbing up in the Gunks. The land was beautiful and the site was exactly as expected. We enjoyed the cows and be sure to check out their farm store and brewery down the road, we cooked with ingredients mostly all from there.

11/10! Absolutely idyllic, massive camping site (approximately a football field). There is ample forest to explore on Ralph's property, and of course there's the host. It's a beautiful active horse farm, and time permitting the host is extremely generous to give tours of the stables. They also have an adorable dog running around. The port-a-potty on site was also incredibly clean, and always stocked with toilet paper. There aren't a ton of amenities (i.e. picnic table), but personally that was a positive as it gave as authentic a camping experience as possible without having to do a full hike-in. Will look forward to return when possible.

Awesome spot with a raised platform that faces the mountains / sunset with a crystal clear view of the stars at night. It is private and situated on a long stretch of grass that is perfect to let your dog roam and play ball. Very farm feeling with cows that come up to say hi and sounds of roosters and crickets. Would highly recommend and would visit again. I would add to the amenities that there is a griddle and cast iron in the little wooden storage cabinet for campfire cooking.

The campsite was perfect—beautiful views, spacious, and very private. I couldn’t have asked for more! Having a gas station just 2–3 minutes drive away was also super convenient. A big pleasant surprise was the cows visiting us several times a day—my kids absolutely loved it!

We had a working dairy farm. Now the property is used for your enjoyment and ours. As well as making hay. We have an 8-acre garden planted with rhubarb, raspberries, and berries on the farm too. We are located next to the Wallkill River which the campsite overlooks. We have 3 campsites available to choose from. Toilet available, campfires permitted, picnic table provided, pets welcome. Be advised we are a working farm so you will see woodpiles, machinery, such as Tractors and other items sometimes hanging around. Be aware we have 3 campsites so outhouse is used by all 3 campsite please be courteous of others. Leave the lid down after use ,wipe up after yourself. Treat it like its your own house. We appreciate it We ask after 8pm noise is kept down to respect other campers. We are located across the river from City Winery who does play music when they have weddings. Always working on improvements! My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

There are a variety of bars and restaurants located in the small town of Rock Hill, as well as our local Farmer's Market every Saturday only during the summer months. The cabin is a short trip away from the local grocery store, a five minute drive to Resorts World Casino and Holiday Mountain Ski and Fun Park. A twenty-five minute drive to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (sight of the 1969 Woodstock Festival). OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE: Please respect our non-smoking policy. There is absolutely NO smoking of any kind allowed in the cabin. A $200 charge will be applied if you do smoke inside to cover the additional cleaning costs. No Drugs or illegal activity. No Smoking or vaping. No incense or candles. We always like our guests to know ahead of time that there is mild to moderate vehicle and foot traffic near the hiking trails during the day. As this location has become more and more popular, the individuals who come to hike, bike, fish, hunt, etc. are required to parallel park their cars on the opposite side of the road. However, our property is private and clearly posted, and may only be used by our guests. This campsite provides a great location to use as a base for day hikes. The tent site is situated beneath a canopy of two large Red Oak trees. This property was formerly a farm and has since grown back to a pioneer Hardwood Forest. There are stone rows throughout the farm and some areas that have been cleared of invasive vegetation and planted with native grasses to enhance the deer population. We suggest day hikes such as Catfish Fire Tower, Van Campen's Glen, and Buttermilk Falls. Here's a list of our recommendations for hiking, fishing, and just plain old exploring: The Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area (DWG) and nearby Walpack Fish and Wildlife Management Area in Layton have many hiking trails (See the National Park Service's website). Great areas for sightseeing, hiking, biking, fishing, hunting. Buttermilk Falls, (trailhead on) Mountain Road in Layton. Hike to the top of the beautiful waterfalls near Walpack and take a 6.8 mile loop trail to Crater Lake. Walpack Inn, National Park Service Rd 615, Layton. A beautiful restaurant with an entire back wall of windows with a view of the Kittatinny Valley. The Walpack is open on weekends for dinner only. Appalachian Trail (AT). Check out the AMC Mohican Outdoor Center located along the trail in Blairstown. The AT runs through the DWG. \ Long Pine Pond amp; Crater Lake in Walpack. Both are spring fed and great for swimming and boating (clear water). Van Campen's Glen, Old Mine Road, Hardwick. The 2.1 mile loop trail features several cascades and waterfalls, a narrow stone valley, and a lush hemlock ravine. Catfish Fire Tower, Millbrook Road, Hardwick. A rocky 2.0 or longer 4.4 mile hike to the top of the ridge. Great views on NJ and PA. Also check out "Hiking Our Preserves" on the Ridge and Valley Conservancy's website for information on 4 local hiking trails. Delaware River- Great for swimming, boating, tubing, canoeing, fishing. Keep your eye out for Bald Eagles! White Lake - 97 Stillwater Rd. Hardwick, NJ 07825. The Paulinskill (Blairstown) and FlatBrook (Old Mine Road, Hardwick) rivers are local spots for trout fishing. On Saturdays during the summer, you may want to try out the Blairstown Farmers Market on Stillwater Road. Hours 9:30 to 1:00 pm.
