Located 50 miles from midtown Manhattan (approx 1:08 minutes) is our brand new campsite located right off the Appalachian Trail. The camp is at the base of Wawayanda mountain right between the iconic hikes "Stairway to Heaven" and "Pochuck Boardwalk" on the Appalachian Trail. Hike right from camp up to "Pinwheel Vista" (named one of NJ's best viewpoints!)
At the entrance to the property is the Valley Farmers Cooperative that sells local grass fed meats and artisanal farm goods. You can walk two minutes to Heaven Hill Farm which has plenty of goods, produce, and fun fall activities like pumpkin picking and haunted hayrides. Drive your car from route 94 directly to your campsite nestled in the woods with a great view of the valley. A perfect getaway from the city with plenty to offer.
About 10 minutes down 94 is the beautiful town of Warwick or about 4 minutes in the opposite direction is the town of Vernon. Warwick is a quaint small town with plenty of great restaurants and bars, and famous for its apple picking. Vernon has plenty to offer as well including the popular ski resort/waterpark Mountain Creek and Minerals Spa (Located just under 10 minutes away.)
The quiet charm of Wawayanda State Park appeals to hikers, campers, swimmers and boaters. Forested hills surround Lake Wawayanda creating a restful backdrop for canoeists and fisherman, while steep mountains challenge casual as well as serious hikers. A twenty-mile stretch of Appalachian Trail runs through the park, while the top of Wawayanda Mountain offers sensational views. More than sixty miles of trails are marked in the park.

Our night in the Tipi was such an amazing and unique experience. Cold weather ruined our original camping trip and I was able to book Lauren’s Tipi pretty much last minute.
It was so comfy, and furnished perfectly. She had fresh water, wood, fire starters, blankets, chairs, everything we could possibly need. Even the composting toilet was welcoming. No complaints here, except for the cloudy skies. Thanks again!

Weekend Trip to Glamp at Coyote Creek
The campsite is so great for our needs: 3 good sized tents for our families to camp together. They're close enough that the little kids can safely run between them and around the common area but not so close it's noisy for each other. The grills, fire pits, dishwashing stations and toilet/shower amenities are clean, useful, well-maintained and appreciated. As were the badminton net and swings! Loved our second annual trip here.

Weekend Trip to Apothecary Gardens NY
We really loved our stay at the tipi. Lauren was exceptionally accommodating and refunded us when we decided to leave a day early because of the weather. The tipi was lovely, everything was provided (firewood, starter logs, drinking water etc etc) and having an open fire inside was a very special experience. It's nicely tucked away in a small wooded area behind the host's home. The bedding was very warm and we stayed cozy. Lots of great activities in Warwick, Sugar Loaf, and the surrounding area as well. We will be back!

I spent two days here this weekend.
I arrived a little late on Friday.
Cindy's preparation was perfect. I didn't have to do anything else. Also, Cindy explained everything kindly, and even I, who spoke English badly, could easily understand it.
I would like to thank Cindy.
The weather was perfect, and the sound of grass bugs at night was also nice. Cleanly maintained facilities made camping even more enjoyable. I'll visit you again next time.

The tent was beautiful and very well kept, the grounds were stunning and well maintained, and Cindy made every effort imaginable to make our stay incredible. Staying in this tipi should be on every camper’s bucket list! It’s the perfect balance of peaceful seclusion and easy accessibility. Each night, I fell asleep to a magical chorus of tree frogs, bullfrogs, and songbirds—pure nature therapy. The Warwick area adds to the charm with great local restaurants, live music, hiking trails, and small-town vibes.
Lauren was a fantastic host—warm, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. She gave me a quick tour when I arrived, pointed out the essentials, and even offered a wagon to help transport gear to the site. Firewood is available for purchase right on the property, which made campfires super easy.
And don’t overlook the most enthusiastic greeters: the friendly chickens! They made my stay even more memorable. I can’t recommend this spot enough—I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing place to spend time away from all. Quiet, well kept and clean. Major plus was the shower with hot water for colder days. Cindy was very attentive, provided a flashlight for our late checkout, walk through the place, hospitality was amazing. Host made sure we were comfortable. Definitely will comeback again.
