"Rustic" is a good word to describe Bravenit Camp, but it's so much more! The newly renovated Horse Club Cabin is very spacious, but cozy. The cabin can sleep 8 comfortably, and there is plenty of room in the corral for RV's and tents. Check out the barns, the trails, and the wildlife.

Camp Ebb and Flow is located on the western edge of the White Mountains, near the crossing of the Appalachian Trail and a short drive to VT. Three lakes nearby for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Hiking trails nearby. The camp offers RV sites with water, electricity, and sewer, an RV site with no hookups, and several tent sites. One of the tent sites has water and electricity and another has electricity with nearby water. There is bathhouse with two toilets and two vanities as well as a shower with changing room. Potable water is also available from a spigot at the bathhouse. There are over six acres of mowed fields for activities and walking. There is also a lovely brook running through the property with many areas you can cool off in from the summer heat. This property has a lengthy history going back to colonial times. It’s been a farm, an apple orchard, and once had a sawmill. Please check the calendar for available dates. Check-in is no later than 9pm unless late arrival arrangements have been made prior to booking. Whenever possible, try to arrive before dark because there are no lights at most sites, which can make setup difficult. A note regarding electric vehicles (EV): If you have an electric vehicle and would like to tent camp, please select one of our full hookup RV sites. If you have the proper electric adapter for your vehicle, you can charge your vehicle at the 30A RV plug while tenting in the field near the RV site. We do not supply these adapters, and we cannot allow you to charge your vehicle unless you have reserved an RV site with full hookups. If you do not see an open site for the days you'd like to get away, please contact us. Sometimes we can make other arrangements, allowing you to stay.

What a great site! I returned to this hipcamp because of the privacy, ease of booking and communication, and of course the site itself. Even with a frosty layer of snow we had no trouble getting to the site. The fairytale lights in the tree made the site feel more enchanting. This time I even preordered some fresh eggs, which the owner’s thoughtfully brought out and had ready for me soon my arrival. I truly look forward to returning once the weather warms up. We loved this amazing camp, peaceful and quiet and great for our dogs. The site is very spacious and easy to get in and out, even with a larger RV. It’s nice to be so close to the water. I really enjoyed this Hipcamp site. The hosts were quick to respond and even set up the fire pit with wood. It was private, clean, and even lit with lights in the tree above the picnic table. One of the things that I loved about this site is the ability to buy fresh eggs or firewood if needed. I will definitely remember that in the future when I return.

Kennebunk was a short drive away, but we honestly spent more time just enjoying our site. We also came also a local brewery up the road called Funky Bow that I definitely recommend checking out! Our stay at Camp Ebb and Flow was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, hosts Jeff and Jill greeted us with such kindness and warmth that we instantly felt right at home. They went above and beyond by sharing local recommendations for hiking trails, scenic road trips, and great spots to grab a bite — their hospitality truly set the tone for our visit. The property itself is beautifully maintained — spotless, thoughtfully landscaped, and full of charm. It’s clear that Jeff and Jill take great pride in keeping everything in perfect condition. We especially appreciated their off-leash policy, as we travel everywhere with our dog, Dex, and he absolutely loved the freedom to roam and explore safely. I'd be remiss if I did not mention the bath house, yes, there's also a bath house. It's all enclosed, climate controlled, spotless, and includes Jill's personal touch with the stellar decor. If you’re looking for a place to escape the everyday hustle and recharge, look no further. Camp Ebb and Flow offers the perfect balance of peace and natural beauty. The gentle brook on the property was one of our favorite spots to unwind, listen to the soothing sounds of nature, and simply breathe. There’s no question — we’ll definitely be back. I had an amazing weekend camping on Jeff and Jill’s property! This was my first time camping alone and I felt incredibly safe. The property and campsites are beautiful. Jeff and Jill even brought me one of their sleeping bags because they were worried I might get too cold if temperatures dropped at night! I will definitely be coming again in the future.

Everything was well thought out (privacy, hot water shower, 2 toilets, the signs, string lights by each site, etc.) I would highly recommend Cascade Rocks site - it was private and spacious. It peaceful listening to the brook at night.

Weirs Beach

Around a 15-minute drive north of Laconia, Weirs is the most popular beach in the Lakes Region. Along the beach’s boardwalk, you’ll find multiple attractions, including the Scenic Railroad, which makes several daily runs along parts of Lake Winnipesaukee; the Winnipesaukee Pier, with restaurants, games arcades, shops, and boat rentals; and the Weirs Beach Drive-in Theater.

Gunstock Mountain

In the White Mountain National Forest, and a stop along the scenic Kancamagus Highway, the three-story Sabbaday Falls drop 45 feet in total and are reached by an easy trail. Other nearby waterfalls along the highway include Champney Falls, Lower Falls. and Rocky Gorge.

When to go

Laconia and the surrounding area is a four-season destination, with something going on any time of year. Winter offers snowsports and brings the Laconia World Championship Sled Dog Derby, while the Laconia Motorcycle Week, held over nine days in June, is one of the world’s oldest motorcycle rallies and features races, stunt shows, and live music. The area is a very popular place to view fall foliage, especially along the Kancamagus Highway and Scenic Railroad.
