Gardnerville Ranchos is a desert oasis located at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains forty minutes from Lake Tahoe. Our property is biking distance from the East Fork Carson River.
The Ranchos is a small retirement community within walking distance of our local bowling alley where you can take (free) transit to Lake Tahoe, Carson City, and Reno. Carons Hotsprings and Wally's Hotsprings are both accessible through community (Dart) Transit as well.
With the help of my Father Steve, Sandy Gibson built the House of Gibson in 1983/1984. We are on one acre with an orchard, trees, and a pond. My parents (Steve and Sandy) passed in 2021; We are currently busy with restoring the property.
Our neighborhood is safe and quiet. Drop in and stay for a spell...

1. One just Bonnie Claire Gold Mill. Take a 2 .5 hour ride thru the most scenic Western Towns in Vegas. Very historical beautiful scenery all the way there. We stop off at Beatty Nevada to the world famous candy store that has the best choices for all kinds of candy.. Even the candy you miss as a kid. Refresh . Get a Subway, shop souvenirs or get a home made ice cream float. $299 per person.. inc. Food limo and to and from Bonnie claire. Then we continue to Bonnie Claire Gold Mill about 40 minutes from there. See Gold Mountain. Mines shafts and more. Is a magical experience.
2. Grand tour. Wear we drive from Bonnie Claire Gold mill to Tonopah Nevada and explore the huge self guided tour " the historical mining museum " Wear it all happen. 2 billion in silver was taken from these 3 mines. Is amazing . Google it. Price is $399 per person . Inc food , drinks and private limo to and from Las Vegas to Bonnie Claire. Much more fun then Grand Canyon. And if the hot mineral springs are open. Well stop there as well. Many have said the Bonnie Claire Gold Mill tour was the most beautiful thing they ever did. So give it a try. Limousine ride . Ice cold air. 2 tvs . Relax and see the West. This is a groovy little spot where the power lines meet. Located a block away from Treasure RV Park on Highway 160 just north of Pahrump, NV. You can visit Treasures just across the streetMark’s restaurant AAA+ food, gambling, and the bowling alley right across the street, and still return easily to this private lot. Treasures is a great little oasis to visit, and a short walk back to camp and have more privacy then staying directly on treasures site and avoiding vehicle age requirements.There are cactus ,sage, river rock and an old desert tortoise you might spot named Mort on the property. It’s a small plot of land but it will fit up to you a 45 foot bus or a truck and longer trailer. I have parked my 40’ school bus conversion there from time to time.the property is right outside of Pahrump in a convenient location with beautiful Mountain View’s. Treasures RV park is right across the street and makes for a perfect desert oasis near death Valley.

I actually didn't get the opportunity to stay. We came into the area hours later than expected (dark) and immediately lost cell reception, no GPS, no email, no phone, making it to difficult to find. Once we got back into cell range I messaged host and they were ready to do just about anything to help us get back. Very friendly and when we are in the area again we will give it another try. Not host fault, T-Mobile's fault 😊.

So beautiful, silent and peaceful. I didn’t have the chance to meet Morgan but they let me know they would be in town when I arrived and to make myself comfortable. A great place for some reflection if that’s what you’re looking for. It is about 30 min off the highway so be sure to have enough gas to get you there and back.
