Meadview Arizona was founded in 1826 by Jedediah Smith on his Southwest Expedition in search for Beaver! Staying a small remote and quiet town it can feel like it would have in the Wild West.
We obtained our campground from a couple that owned it for 20 years but just weren't able to do to it what they had originally planned.. So it was essentially a blank canvas for us to create!! We are the closest town to the Grand Canyon SKYWALK, which is just 40 minutes from us. Meadview, the town we are located, is the only place to obtain Free Entree to the Lake Mead Recreational Center. Our Campground just 10 miles from Lake Mead and 17 Miles from the Colorado River. We have outstanding Lookouts, Top notch Stargazing, Gold Prospecting, Bird Watching, Fishing, Off Roading etc.
Some of the Best Desert Off-Roading through trails within the Joshua Tree National Forest, Please note you must bring your own OHV, horse, etc, there is currently no rentals available. We do have Kayaks to rent upon arrival. There is a hidden water fall in the Grapevine Wash that you can get to with a 4 wheel vehicle and you hike in about 15 minutes in. Stunning views and gorgeous natural spring and waterfall.
We are 45 minutes off the 93 Freeway
Free WIFI provided at the office!.. The town doesn't always have a powerful signal, please keep that in mind in your travels. However, if you have Verizon, it gets GREAT service!
There are three restaurants in town, all just one mile from site... The Boathouse, Anchor Smokehouse and Fishermans Landing Bar. We have a Bakery called Rosemary and Thyme that serves Delicious foods & Pastries and makes great coffees. There is also a Gas n Grub that has ice, propane etc... 5 miles away is a Family Dollar store which we lovingly call the "Mall of Meadview"

This was the second time we enjoyed staying at the Hummingbird tiny home and spending an extra night was well needed. The hosts Sandi and Rob were very accommodating and friendly and easy to contact about anything. We enjoyed everything the tiny home had to offer, including nights outside around the campfire and enjoying the peace and quiet that Vegas can’t always offer. We felt very safe and welcomed during our stay. We hope to come back more often for these types of getaways!

Weekend Trip to Mojave Desert Ranch
We love Sandy Valley Ranch and look forward to going as often as we can. This was our third time staying and first time staying in the tipi! They provide a space heater and heated blanket so you can be nice and cozy. I still recommend bringing warm layers. We were pleasantly surprised with the little outhouse, it was a regular toilet. We didn't get to use the shower but it's really a perfect setup.
The outside couches were perfect for lounging in and we especially love making breakfast and hot chocolate in the mornings. They also have a mini fridge which we appreciate. You have everything you need. The dogs and farm are always something we look forward to as well.

What an incredible experience! My husband, fur baby, and I had such a fun time visiting all the animals on the property❤️ Elvis the donkey was definitely a highlight of the trip. Like a giant puppy!🥰 The random visits all through the day and night by the friendly farm dogs and a nice hot outdoor shower under the beautiful stars were the cherry on top. 10/10 experience

Weekend Trip to Mojave Desert Ranch
The Ac is perfect and hits as soon as you walk in, the bed area was warm during the day but with the fan on and the cooling down on the evening it was comfy at night as well. We were pleasantly surprised to see a toilet and a shower since we hadn't seen them in the pics.
It's a dreamy tiny home with everything you could need. Even some board games and checkers. Loved the cute little radio which I enjoyed while cleaning the pots and pans. We made breakfast in the firepit and smores at night. The night sky was clear that you could see the milky way! We fell in love with Sandy Valley Ranch a second time. So serene and beautiful. The dogs are so well behaved and we love all the animals. Glad to celebrate a birthday there and already looking into staying again.

Weekend Trip to Sandy Valley Ranch
We enjoyed our stay and we can't wait to go back! It was so peaceful and it was so nice to get away from the city. Loved being able to walk around and see all the ranch animals! It was the perfect getaway. The camper is charming and cozy. It got a little warm during the day but it wasn't unbearable. They have a mini swamp fan. There are plugins for a fan if you wanted to bring one. We cooked breakfast in the morning and made smores in the campfire at night. We brought our portable hammock/ w stand to star gaze. They do have meals and other activities available. We plan to do it all next time and hopefully stay a bit longer. We stayed one night and even though it was short I would do it again! We will keep an eye on events so so we can drive down and enjoy from time time to time.

WOW! A very wonderful experience was had. I give it a 10 out of 10. Employees were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional in all aspects. The weather was not a problem, only gusts of wind late into the night, and a warm environment during the day, but comfortable. The mini cabin had toiletries, which I found very thoughtful. The fire pit near the campsite was perfect for s'mores, so no need to bring your travel pit. Although I recommend bringing a flashlight and water on your stay.

We loved staying at Sandy Valley Ranch in the tipi. It was a unique stay with all the amenities one would need to be comfortable. The tipi was perfect for 2 adults and we slept well. The outdoor kitchen and campfire cooking tools were more than enough for a glamper to make a meal. The facilities were close and clean. The valley is the real star of the show with incredible sunrises, sunsets and night skies. Thank you for sharing your ranch with us.

It was a great place to see the sunset and sunrise! I loved having the animals and took the best trail ride right from the ranch. The hummingbird had all the basics I needed. The signs to the camp were great, as I came in after dark and had no problem finding it.

Weekend Trip to Mojave Desert Ranch
A lovely stay in a beautiful and cozy setup. We were worried we might be chilly as temps weren’t too high, but the site was well equipped with heated blankets, extra blankets, and a space heater. The hosts also responded very promptly when the propane tank for the space heater had run empty. We also loved the outdoor shower and kitchen. Overall a great spot to stay, and a great experience spending time on the ranch and in the nearby town!

I dont even know where to start on expressing my gratitude about this place. The tepee is wonderful, its so gorgeous and so well maintained, you can clearly see how they truly care about your experience, the ranch animals are amazing and the ranch dogs will come around to give you cuddles which its a huge plus. But foremost I would like to highlight my personal experience with Sandi the manager of the ranch, I left something super important at the ranch and she went above and beyond to make sure it would get to me in time, I cant express enough my gratitude on that and how this is clearly more than a business, its a place with such good caring people and amazing glamping sites at the same time. Thank you so much for an amazing night out under the starts and also for helping me on a personal level. I would absolutely come back! You should DEFINITELY stay in this place❤️

1 night at Sandy Valley Ranch
Everything went extremely well. Check-in was smooth, we were greeted by a cowboy which was cool. He was very nice as you'd imagine. We admired the horses in the afternoon, and the sunset at night was really nice. The stars were bright and the firepit was great! Airstream was clean, bathroom was easy to use. Loved the vibes all together. 10/10
