Meadview Arizona was founded in 1826 by Jedediah Smith on his Southwest Expedition in search for Beaver! Staying a small remote and quiet town it can feel like it would have in the Wild West. We obtained our campground from a couple that owned it for 20 years but just weren't able to do to it what they had originally planned.. So it was essentially a blank canvas for us to create!! We are the closest town to the Grand Canyon SKYWALK, which is just 40 minutes from us. Meadview, the town we are located, is the only place to obtain Free Entree to the Lake Mead Recreational Center.  Our Campground just 10 miles from Lake Mead and 17 Miles from the Colorado River.  We have outstanding Lookouts, Top notch Stargazing, Gold Prospecting, Bird Watching, Fishing, Off Roading etc. Some of the Best Desert Off-Roading through trails within the Joshua Tree National Forest, Please note you must bring your own OHV, horse, etc, there is currently no rentals available.  We do have Kayaks to rent upon arrival. There is a hidden water fall in the Grapevine Wash that you can get to with a 4 wheel vehicle and you hike in about 15 minutes in. Stunning views and gorgeous natural spring and waterfall. We are 45 minutes off the 93 Freeway Free WIFI provided at the office!..  The town doesn't always have a powerful signal, please keep that in mind in your travels.  However, if you have Verizon, it gets GREAT service! There are three restaurants in town, all just one mile from site... The Boathouse, Anchor Smokehouse and Fishermans Landing Bar.  We have a Bakery called Rosemary and Thyme that serves Delicious foods & Pastries and makes great coffees.  There is also a Gas n Grub that has ice, propane etc... 5 miles away is a Family Dollar store which we lovingly call the "Mall of Meadview"

Located off I-40 ( old Route 66 ) in Holbrook, Arizona. No power, toilet, water, or sewage. You will need to drive ~1 mile or so off road to get to the provided coordinates.Just 49 miles away you have Castle Mountains National Park. You'll need a high-clearance, 4WD vehicle to get into this extremely remote national monument in the eastern Mojave Desert. Accessible only by dirt roads, Castle Mountains is surrounded on three sides by the Mojave National Preserve. It's the northernmost of the desert region's three new national monuments designated by the President in 2016. This park in northeastern San Bernardino County protects 20,920 acres, located between the interstates I−15 and I−40. There are no facilities, developed campgrounds, or established trails within the monument. Backcountry camping is allowed. Castle Peaks is one of the stars here—a cluster of imposing spires that climb skyward. The peaks are composed mainly of volcanic tuff, and the deep erosion of the rocks has created distinct, sharp summits. You're also rewarded for your efforts to get here by lush grasslands, Joshua tree forests, mountain vistas, and abundant wildlife. The rugged Mojave Desert is home to mountain lions, bighorn sheep, golden eagles, coyotes, and bobcats. Castle Mountains National Monument is always open, but the best times to come are spring and fall. March and April are peak times. The spring rains turn the desert into a carpet of vivid, vibrant wildflowers. Summers are very hot, with daytime temps in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Jeffry’s Farm was a very convenient location for our needs. It is under a flight path, but we found this not to be a problem. Evenings were fairly peaceful and we actually enjoyed watching the planes come in during the day. Parking area was fairly flat and easy to get in and out of. We would stay here again if in the area.

Weekend Trip to Beagletopia - Your Quiet Escape!

It was wonderful camping. close enough to civilization that I didn't have to worry if I forgot something, but far enough away that it was quiet all weekend - unless you don't like the sound of coyotes singing, and dark enough to sit out, watch the sunset, and enjoy a nice pour of Weller C.Y.P.B.. My trailer is 22 feet, so I would pull in, and still unhook, giving me a great view of the mountains. Some weekends, I just need to get away from the house and all the stuff, and I will certainly look for this spot.

What an incredible experience! My husband, fur baby, and I had such a fun time visiting all the animals on the property❤️ Elvis the donkey was definitely a highlight of the trip. Like a giant puppy!🥰 The random visits all through the day and night by the friendly farm dogs and a nice hot outdoor shower under the beautiful stars were the cherry on top. 10/10 experience

The Ac is perfect and hits as soon as you walk in, the bed area was warm during the day but with the fan on and the cooling down on the evening it was comfy at night as well. We were pleasantly surprised to see a toilet and a shower since we hadn't seen them in the pics. It's a dreamy tiny home with everything you could need. Even some board games and checkers. Loved the cute little radio which I enjoyed while cleaning the pots and pans. We made breakfast in the firepit and smores at night. The night sky was clear that you could see the milky way! We fell in love with Sandy Valley Ranch a second time. So serene and beautiful. The dogs are so well behaved and we love all the animals. Glad to celebrate a birthday there and already looking into staying again.

Weekend Trip to Jeffry’s Farm

Enjoyable site. It's close enough to the casinos to enjoy Vegas (if that's your thing), but far enough away that you can feel isolated. The land is flat, and packed earth, so it's great to set up on. You're close enough to shopping, groceries and dining, but away enough to set up and make your own meals. I did not get a chance to meet the host (I was hurried - visiting with a friend who had emergency surgery), but it was quiet. MAKE SURE YOUR BOONDOCKING GAME IS GOOD, especially in the summer (I just made it through with my solar battery - I should have brought the full set). If you have battery generators, you can charge up free at the Silverton nearby (top level of the parking structure has outlets on some of the light poles), so you can plug in and shop, dine, or gamble. There are horses, alpacas, and a camel to see, and because there was always a breeze, it doesn't have that horse farm smell, which I like. Overall, it's a lovely place to park for a night or two. Next time, I'll bring friends.

Weekend Trip to Sandy Valley Ranch

We enjoyed our stay and we can't wait to go back! It was so peaceful and it was so nice to get away from the city. Loved being able to walk around and see all the ranch animals! It was the perfect getaway. The camper is charming and cozy. It got a little warm during the day but it wasn't unbearable. They have a mini swamp fan. There are plugins for a fan if you wanted to bring one. We cooked breakfast in the morning and made smores in the campfire at night. We brought our portable hammock/ w stand to star gaze. They do have meals and other activities available. We plan to do it all next time and hopefully stay a bit longer. We stayed one night and even though it was short I would do it again! We will keep an eye on events so so we can drive down and enjoy from time time to time. Thank you for everything. Would recommend SVR!
