Peaceful Prairie Campsites consists of 200+ acres of prairie pasture bordering the south side of Scotts Bluff National Monument. Under the care of third generation steward, Lisa Betz-Marquez, the beautiful bluffs feature a stunning backdrop to a those seeking a private and peaceful experience, birding, wildlife-spotting, or an adventure-seeking hike. Rustic Tent sites (allowing cars, vans, rooftop tents, truck campers, and motorcycles, but not RVs or pull-behind trailers) are located directly on the prairie. The prairie is a fragile environment. To preserve its beauty and health, trailers and RVs must book the RV sites. We appreciate your cooperation. RV sites 50 amp electricity and a rustic experience on crushed concrete near our corral. You'll have foot access just steps from the prairie. All sites share access to delicious potable water, a clean porta potty, and a funky outdoor camp shower (with unheated water), as well as private foot access to hiking at various levels of challenge to the south side of our nation's Scotts Bluff National Monument. A small group of yearling cattle are at home on the prairie in summer months, and may share you the prairie tent area with campers in the months of May and June. Prairie guests have relished the feeling of having the place to themselves to enjoy the majesty of the landscape, the magic of our starry night skies and the soulful communion with the land. Lisa is the fourth generation of her family to live on Valley View Farm, located directly south of the prairie. Her family has been steward of these lands since 1925. Lisa is a member of a pioneer family. Ancestor, Martin Gering, came to the valley in 1887. As an early investor in the fledgling town, the town of Gering was named for him. Just over 3 hours from Denver, BE Farm offers more than just a place to spend the night—it’s a full immersion in farm life, nature, and wide-open skies. With Nebraska’s iconic Chimney Rock just 8 miles south, Scotts Bluff National Monument 25 miles west, and Carhenge 40 miles northeast, adventure is never far. At night, the Milky Way lights up the sky—so vivid it feels like you could scoop it up in your hand. The campsite is nestled along Wildhorse Creek, shaded by trees and surrounded by wildlife. Deer, raccoons, and native birds are common visitors, and Rainbow and Brown trout glide through the waters (note: no fishing is allowed). In summer, you might spot Farmer Billy tending crops or setting irrigation at sunrise and sunset—it’s all part of the BE Farm experience. During October, it’s Pumpkin Patch season at BE Farm, and with your stay, you’ll be welcome to enjoy all the fall vibes at the Farm. A quick note: The Farm is open to the public on Fridays (4 p.m.–dark), Saturdays (10 a.m.–9 p.m.), and Sundays (10 a.m.–6 p.m.). Farmer Billy will do his best to ensure you enjoy your time here, but please note that other guests will be present at the farm during open hours. Weekend Trip to Peaceful Prairie Campsites

This was the best site I've ever camped at and can't recommend it enough! You're all to yourself but still nearby other sites. The town, as well as Scottsbluff NM and Chimney Rock, are close by. Lisa was an excellent host, wish we could've talked longer! Make sure you're well prepared for the weather...the wind swept through the canyon just right and snapped our tent. Will definitely look for this place again the next time I come out!

This land is gorgeous and we felt so lucky to camp there. We decided to camp last minute on our cross country road trip back home to Idaho and it happened to be my birthday. The sunset was incredible and the prairie was gorgeous. Be prepared for the wind!

Three Little Birds is for smaller rigs. This camper was able to unhitch a trailer and park his cart in this site.

This was a quiet and peaceful campground with stunning scenery. Lisa was very helpful, providing detailed directions to the campsite. It was a short drive into Gering and Scott’s Bluff Monument. This was a wonderful place to stay that is off the beaten path.

This is the Three Little Birds site, and is less spacious than the others. It's a back in or pull in site.

Wow, it was raining HARD when we were driving towards the Peaceful Prairie location and the road condition concerned Lisa. She contacted us right away about getting into our spot and settled. Through the hip camp site/app and LIsa's guidance, we found our spot just fine and had a nice evening in the drizzle. Woke up to some beautiful fog and singing birds. The road does get a little greasy with that kind of rain, but we did fine.

Weekend Trip to Wildhorse Creek At BE Farm

I came here from Colorado for a weekend getaway and wasn't disappointed. The farm and flowers are beautiful. The spot I camped was right next to a little river. The owner, Billy, was very nice and helpful. The farm cat Sir Gordon camped with me for the weekend. You can pick and make your own flower arrangement during season. There is a water spigot and firewood for sale . The closest store is a dollar general about 10 minutes away. Farm is about 30 minutes east of Scott's Bluff Monument.

We had a fantastic time at my horse Campground. Billy‘s farm offered a very unique opportunity to be able to see and be part of a working farm in action. Billy was friendly and helpful. Interacting us to the campsite where we had adequate water and shade pretty much anything you could ask for he had thoughtfully delivered firewood to the site for us to use in the fire ring and showed us where how to get more in case we needed it. If you want your kids to have the opportunity to have a tractor driving lesson or see how commercial flowers or pumpkins are raised. This is your place. Billy can direct you to many other recreational opportunities in the area. Very close to Scott’s Bluff and chimney rockWe will go back here to camp anytime we get the opportunity to do so. Super fun we highly recommend it!!.
