The yurt is available for rent on this site to stay the night in, 8 guests maximum. **For gatherings and up to 20-person events, please visit our website, wildlightmontana.com. The yurt is a beautiful open space utilized weekly for local yoga classes and private events. The space is therefore not set up with bedding; guests should bring their own camping pads, cots, sleeping bags, etc. A pro to staying here is that the space comes stocked with yoga props for stretching in the evening while you arrive, sitting and gathering, or maybe doing a private yoga class before you leave in the morning. Feel free to message us and book a private sound therapy, Reiki or yoga session while you are at the property! There is nice view of the valley surrounding, and a trail leading up into the woods behind the yurt to walk on. Wild turkeys, deer, elk and eagles right outside your door. There is a woodstove inside for cooler nights that we can instruct folks who feel comfortable to use, and a small firepit out front. Facilities: Outside, in front of the yurt, there is a back-to-back outhouse and hand washing station available for guests, stocked with toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap. An insulated out-building sits just to the west of the yurt entrance, right where the dirt driveway turns toward the yurt itself when you drive up. The out-building is equipped as a kitchenette, and includes a refrigerator, electric kettle and coffee maker. Please note: there is no running water inside this building, however we will have a 5 gallon jug of well water set up in a water dispenser for you to access there. We ask guests to clean up after themselves in these spaces. The handwashing area is set up for rinsing off dishes while you're here as well. We will make sure to provide a dish tub, cleaning supplies, enough dishes, utensils and mugs for up to 8 people (or compostable picnicware if necessary at the time of rental). Note about the train: There are train tracks that run along the river in front of our property. The tracks are dropped down low enough that you can just see the top of the train, with trees also blocking the sound. The train will only sound its horn here if there are animals on the tracks, a fairly rare occurrence after four years living here. All in all, it isn't bothersome feature to most who stay, and we've had positive feedback from renters. It still feels fair to note.

Such a spectacular place to stay!! Just what I needed. Not only is it beautiful on the inside, the bed is INSANELY comfortable (heated blanket was super helpful during a 30 something degree night), and the view in the morning is breathtaking. Pictures don't do it justice. There's everything you need in the tent. I would highly HIGHLY recommend Lynda's property!

I loved staying here. About 1.5 hours south of Missoula in the Bitterroot mountains lies this wonderful camp. It is surrounded by trees, trails, and mountains. Finding it was very easy, checking in was simple and communication was awesome. The photos and small touches of hospitality do not do this space justice. Come for relaxation and amenities, watch the stars at night, and stay warm by the fire. I was blown away and cannot wait to return.

Weekend Trip to Oxen-Le-Fields Montana

We spent 2 incredible nights at Oxen Le Fields. Lynda greeted us upon arriving and her kind and friendly demeanor set a great tone for the trip. We enjoyed driving up to Sula peak and exploring the Bitterroot Valley. The bed was super comfortable and we had a blast being able to camp comfortably on a cool fall weekend. Our last morning we woke up to beautiful snow covered fields and mountains. It was so cozy in the tent, Lynda made sure we had plenty of firewood and the stove and electric blankets kept us very warm. Would highly recommend staying here!

I ended up at Cody’s at kind of the last second and he and his wife were very welcoming and easy to communicate with. The space is really clean and well kept. Me and my dogs slept great. I would have booked another night but had plans for the next evening already. I highly recommend this spot - a steal for the price.

2 nights at Sanctuary Farm Yurt Glamping

We loved our time at Sanctuary Farm. The farm itself is on a private road, off a minor country road in a heavily treed area - The drive there is spectacular. You know you are in for something special! The yurt was placed well away from the owner's home, which gave lots of privacy and the night sky is DARK, so perfect for stargazing. The composting sawdust outhouse was a short walk from the yurt & surprisingly pleasant - no odor or flies and plenty of ventilation. 1000 times nicer than a port-o-potty. The solar heated camp shower provided by the host worked great. Just be sure to shower in the evening after the water has had all day to heat up! The optional breakfast was delish - definitely worth the cost & we ate out for our other meals, so never used the outdoor kitchen. We enjoyed our time here & would definitely recommend it to others seeking a stay off-the-beaten path.

This site was beautiful! Lynda was so kind and helpful. There is a nice trail near the cabin and is easily accessible (it is steep though!). The cabin was perfect, the pictures don’t do it justice. Our dog loved the fenced in area. It’s also the perfect place to look at the stars. Highly recommend!

1 night at The Holmestead Cabin

We stayed in the dry cabin while traveling home from our hiking trip. It was perfect! Cody and his family were very welcoming, to include his dog! The cabin itself is amazing! It’s clean and well taken care of. There is also a little seating area down by the creek to hang out and enjoy the sounds of nature. We also saw a ton of deer around. I would 10/10 stay here again.

We enjoyed the rustic cabin (no 7) with the porch seating. Showers and restrooms were sparkling clean! We enjoyed the campfires!

2 nights at The Holmestead Cabin

This place is magical! The little seasonal creek in front of the cabin, the tall cottonwoods, the bigger creek tucked into the trees and even the purple flowers of the thistle as you walk the trail to get there were all so beautiful. We spent our days on the cabin porch listening to bird song and enjoying visits from the hummingbirds, Pumpkin the cat and the friendliest dogs who brightened our mornings. Cody was an awesome host, accommodating and helpful. Having spent most of our journey tent camping, the cabin was a luxury - clean and cozy with comfortable beds, a powerful fan for a warm day and a little grill and hot plate for warm meals. We loved it so much we extended our stay by a day and can't wait to go back!

2 nights at Oxen-Le-Fields Montana

Lynda’s tent was so nice to stay in! She is an incredible host, baked fresh cookies and had everything looking perfect. The property is STUNNING and so peaceful up there. I love how she had snacks available, watercolor and rock painting for kids, a hammock, wood stove, heater, and everything you could wish for in a place like that! Clearly, she is passionate about camping and has put in a lot of love into her sites.

3 nights at Sanctuary Farm Yurt Glamping

This was such a cozy slice of heaven out in the Montana back country. We got up at 3 am and saw the Milky Way and so many stars. The outdoor kitchen made meals scenic and beautiful. Would stay here again 10/10.

2 nights at Wildlight Yurt

Jessica's yurt is located on a magical piece of MT's land! She was lovely and friendly and easy to communicate with. The yurt was beautiful and serene. What a fun way to spend two nights!...in one large yoga retreat yurt! We brought our own bedding and just set ourselves up. At one point, we asked if she had chairs we could use so that we could sit outside, and she promptly loaned us some camp chairs. She went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable and had what we needed. The amenities are very basic, which was fine with us. We planned well, understood what would and wouldn't be available to us, and it worked out just fine. The area of Alberton is gorgeous. If you like to swim, ask Jess for her secret swim spot...it was AMAZING! Thank you!
