very nice, quiet, beautiful place not a lot of people or spaces so that’s the best part. Wallace is a fun place to explore and Kellogg and we drove up through the mountains to this famous snake pit Restaurant the whole trip was just full of history.

Weekend Trip to Fox Lane Private Campsite

We booked this Hipcamp as a stopping point along a 10-day, multi-state RV trip and we are SO glad we did. We stayed 2 nights and wish we would’ve stayed a 3rd. It was so peaceful and serene. It was truly the definition of a relaxing experience. The views from our panoramic window were gorgeous, especially at sunrise, and the nighttime sky was insane. We would love to make the trek back someday to enjoy this beautiful oasis again.

We’ve stayed here twice so far with friends for a quick weekend getaway. Nice flat site, easy to set up camp and lots of trails to explore on SxS. We went out riding to the Bedroom Goldmine Bar, huckleberry picking and checked out Glideen Lake. Close to town too for going out to dinner or walk around town.

Our entire party (3 campers) enjoyed Lisa’s land. We played corn hole on her lovely green lawn. Listened to the rushing creek at night. Went side by siding into the gorgeous scenery nearby and took the short trip to Wallace Idaho for some good food and drinks. We will be coming back each summer.

This Hipcamp provided a peaceful night in a beautiful location. We did take advantage of the electrical hookup. It was 50 amp with great voltage. Water was offered, but we didn't need any. Lisa was great at communicating and was there to guide us to our site. She was very personable and interesting to talk to. We stopped in the historical mining town of Wallace close by before going to the Hipcamp and were glad we did. We wish we could've stayed longer.

This spot is such heaven I had to stay another night! Imagine finding a bucolic and peaceful wild camping spot- a big clearing with majestic 180* view, wildflowers and herbs all around, and behind you a forest of giant firs and pine, where if you’re as lucky as I was, get to see a herd of elk passing by, as well as plenty of deer. You’re high enough to be above the heat and the bugs, and the only sounds are the birds, the coyotes serenading at night, the whistles of the elk in the woods, and an occasional rooster call from somewhere down below. And as others mentioned, the night sky show above too. And so you’re imagining your perfect wild camping spot right? Now add in the fact that it is pristine- unfortunately so many great camp spots are filled with trash and other nuisances. Or if you’re at a campground or even most Hipcamp places, you’re lined in next to other campers. Near a road. Something that takes away from the magic. Here you have the sweet spot all to yourself. Plus electricity and running water! I have traveled and camped all over the country- wild places, campgrounds, Hipcamp, blm, all of it. This is a gem of a place and a rare find! Also- Jeff, the host- is incredibly accommodating, friendly, and quick to respond to any messages!
