I have one site #4 that has water and electric, no septic, There is a hydrant available for water. Please be reasonable, if you need to fill up a large amount please let me know. I now have a PortaPotty on site. I have a shed with electricity if you need to charge cell phones etc, This is my second summer with Hipcamp. I am flexible, please communicate if you have different requirements or needs. If you have a bigger group, reach out. I now have firewood available. Also Grass fed grass finished beef. You can make a full meal from what they offer, but for more variety, shop in Cody, Livingston, or Gardiner before arrival. We keep cooking oil and spice at the house. Whether you are renting to work remotely, need a basecamp for a month of wildlife viewing, or want to provide your family with a unique summer experience, this house will cover your basic needs with ease - shelter, kitchen, internet, and a shower. WE DO NOT HAVE A TV. THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE IN COOKE CITY and many places in the park and to the east into WY. You will want to use "calling over wifi" to make phone calls when you are in wifi, and using this option, your phone works as normal. Sandy and Jerry were excellent hosts and their property is beautiful! The setting along the river is very peaceful. Water on one side and mountains all around. They were very accommodating and had plenty of local suggestions. We were greeted upon our arrival and offered a hand with anything we needed. Very flexible with where we could park in the yard. Even offered use of their bathroom if we needed to. This was our first time using hipcamp and I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks Sandy and Jerry for all of your wonderful hospitality!!

The cabin was beautiful and everything was new and in wonderful condition. Very close to the Northeast Gate of Yellowstone and perfect for us because we love to drive Lamar Valley in the mornings and evenings. Check in instructions were a little vague, but they returned my call promptly to explain what to do if coming in late. Also, the Hipcamp listing said checkout before noon, but when we got there, our paperwork said we would be charged $75 and our possessions removed if we were there after 10:00am. We got up for sunrise in the park and came back for late breakfast and to pack; we were planning on a little later checkout than 10:00 am, but it worked out. We would definitely stay again.

We have been to many campgrounds and our fair share of HipCamps and this one by far has the best views we have ever had. Overlooking the Rosebud River Valley and the Beartooth Mountains in a very rural setting was just amazing. Although the hosts house was near by and there were a few cabins on site, the RV site seemed very private. The hookups worked and Ashley and Kyler were very nice and helpful. We hated to leave.

Margaret, a.k.a. Jersey, provided a very welcoming environment as did two of her three dogs. The third was in training, so no foul there. However, there were other fowls - chickens and turkeys. Also, Alice, a llama or alpaca, I couldn’t tell from her sweater as she was recently shorn. Also horses and a cow.. All were well behaved and didn’t moo, whinny, cheep, cluck, gobble, or do whatever llama-alpacas do too early so I was able to get a good night sleep and see a lot of stars through my moon roof.

What a beautiful place! Thoughtful touches like stacked firewood along with fire starters, a charming fire pit, and beautiful picnic table. And the views - absolutely amazing! Each evening spent gazing at the mountains then a sky full of stars once it turned dark. A perfect spot for our dogs. They loved the meadows and LOVED their dog Maverick - who is the most docile, well-behaved dog ever! We did not see Maverick until we were asked whether it would be okay if he came by and we said absolutely (hopefully this addresses a previous review regarding him). We saw him occasionally, but not too much, and he was a dear every time. Our hosts could not have been more respectful and welcoming. Quick to answer any questions and so patient with our rowdy dogs. We did have to do a bit of work as well and the WiFi worked great - no issues at all. I have only the most positive things to say about our stay - one of our favorite hipcamps without a doubt!
