The Mooseshroom is an awesome camping community that is just 7 miles from the west side of Glacier National Park. Community fire pits near the Commons are a short walk from whichever tent spot guests are assigned. The Commons also houses the bathrooms and inside/outside kitchen areas. There is plenty of seating, hammocks and picnic tables for guests to use as well. We also have two yurts available for booking on our property. The Mooseshroom is a licensed business that is limited to hosting 18 guests per night. Guests should expect a quiet, peaceful camping experience with plenty of room to enjoy their surroundings. ***This property is adjacent Highway 2 and there is a fair amount of road noise. There's also a train that's fairly close. The noise kinda comes with the territory, guests are also 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park. The noise does tend to subside considerably at night, but for those bothered by this type of noise, you might consider an alternate location. Most guests are truly fine with it.

Terri’s place is amazing! She has a lot of nice amenities (Kitchenette, outdoor cooking area, clean bathrooms). My friend and I spent four nights tent camping and felt so safe and cozy. A few notes for anyone reading: -there is a train that goes through at night but earplugs will do the trick if you’re a light sleeper -the kitchenette has plenty of basic spices and condiments for shared use + coffee and teas. -we has tent spot 1 which was perfect with our car, 4 person tent, and small table with chairs. Someone else in the reviews mentioned the common area and bathrooms are a far walk from the campsites - this is false. They are ~ 100 steps away. So basically the equivalent of a longer driveway. Hot tip - Terri has a recycling bin that you can pull from for kindling - the newspaper and toilet paper roles are the perfect combo to make a great fire!

One of the best campsites we’ve ever stayed in! It was incredible to have a kitchen and shower available after a long day of hiking and the host was lovely. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else next time we’re in the area!

This is an amazing place to stay! Terri is exceptionally kind, the sites are nice and clear, it's super close to the West Glacier entrance, and the bathroom & kitchen area are so nice. If you forgot to pack anything, you'll find it at the commons - from hot sauce to bear spray. I didn't think the trains would bother me, but I did pick up a cheap paid of foam earplugs & that solved that issue easily. If you get the chance, you'll love staying here!

Terri was so kind and so helpful. I felt very safe there as a young woman. The kitchen and the bathroom were so nice and thoughtful in supplying things any camper may need! Would 100% stay again!

I loved this site! I pulled up in the evening and was impressed. I was a 10 minute drive from the park which allowed me to get in there really early and the common spaces is beautiful and cozy which was nice after hiking all day.

What a gem. Terri was such a great host. The site was great! Just a stones throw from Glacier National Park, and also several towns with great shops. Terri's shared space with bathrooms, showers, kitchen, firepits was just such a treat. A really great find, and if back that way would definitely stay again and again!

The Mooseshroom camping is the ultimate campground for those seeking a quiet escape on the West end of Glacier National Park. My wife and I were blown away by the homely common area adjacent to the host’s personal residence that offered the cleanest bathrooms/showers we’ve ever seen at a campground! The Mooseshroom is one of the most welcoming places for folks from all walks of life, and host Terri was very kind and personable. We’re certainly looking forward to a second chance to stay here next time we visit the park!

Fantastic stay at the Mooseshroom! Shares facilities were very clean and well looked after, with plenty of hot water and cooking facilities. The site was quiet and comfortable with plenty of room for tent and car. Terri has a lovely place and made us feel right at home

We're already planning on coming back next year. We had the best time. Terri is the most amazing host. She's like a mix of Mrs. Fizzle and Stevie Nicks, so accommodating, and down to earth. Her sites are well set up, the commons area is perfect. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned daily. The kitchen has everything you need. There's even a dry shelf and seperate fridge shelf for items campers can share with others, love this!! And the firepits are such a great space to hangout after a day of hiking or festival fun. We met a lot of amazing people on this trip. 1000% recommend staying here. . There is no doubt she deserved #1 Hipcamp in MONTANA!!!

This Hipcamp was so lovely. Terry has made such a beautiful space for guests to congregate and enjoy the beauty of her property. Amenities were clean with fresh towels and she even had hot coffee ready for the early risers! Would def camp here again and stay longer. Note on finding the property - we turned into the wrong street bc we counted actual turns after the restaurant instead of streets with actual street signs. Don’t do we we did or you’ll end up on the wrong property. Count the streets that have green street signs and you’ll find the right one!
