Perfect spot for a car camper! Water, electricity, firepit, shade, toilet/shower stall and the quiet of nature! The host was very receptive and her response time was amazing! The host lives just up the hill, but rarely heard them. The wildlife come and go but didnt bother me anymore than I bothered them. 🙂

Big Foot RV should be in the running for The Best Hip Camp. Candace and her husband Jason have created a private oasis for RVers who want to to explore Montana’s Flathead Lake region. Although it is only a few miles outside Kalispell, the site is situated up in the mountains above the lake. The owners’ home is on the far side of the property and hidden from the view of the campsite. The owners’ shop, which is an enclosed metal building, is next to the site and provides the hookups and even a covered porch area. The door of our travel trailer opened to a view of the ridge where we saw deer grazing every afternoon. Candace and Jason have tried to anticipate anything a traveler might need to make their stay as comfortable as possible.

This was our favorite campsite spot to date! The space was private with lots of space and the views were amazing! The fire pit/picnic table area was wonderful. Candace provided wonderful directions and also had lots of helpful info for us at the camp site. The spot was in a great location and was very close to Flathead Lake. We would love to come and stay again soon!

The camping area was clean, neat and inviting. It was clear where to stay and the ground was level. I walked down the road a bit as I could hear a stream and was able to enjoy the view. I had planned on setting my tent up but it was too wet and raining off and on. Michael offered to let me stay in the tent site that was already set up, which was very generous of him. I have car camped before so I slept in my car for the night. It was a quiet area with very little noise from other areas. I enjoyed my stay!

I loved boon-docking in my van on Chree and Steve’s land! It’s the perfect amount of shade coverage while also giving my solar panels some sunshine to recharge. They were the best hosts, offering breakfast and helping to figure out transport over the the Under the Big Sky music festival. They had set up some toilets and showers for us all to use during the weekend (even had hot water in the showers!). Couldn’t believe how much fun it was to stay with them! Will be back for future years of fun at the festival!

Fantastic campsite. The location was great. Just a few miles into Lakeside or Somers yet very private and with a view of Flathead Lake from a few spots on the property. The campsite itself was very clean and well put together and the hosts Candace and Jason were very helpful with any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again!

My sister and I stayed here for the weekend while we were visiting for the music festival and this was the perfect little spot to sleep! Nearby to everything but tucked away in the woods. We loved hearing the water nearby and seeing all the wildlife and flowers. It’s near the house but we didn’t see anyone at all and felt totally comfortable. Michael was a great host! Will be back for sure.

Great private site with plenty of room. 30a power and water. Nice and quiet location. Dogs were able to walk around and enjoy. Great camp hosts! Fire pit, firewood and picnic table made for an enjoyable stay. Definitely Bigfoot area!

Great spot for a quick overnight! Very comfortable with nice touches like snacks on the night stand and extra sleeping bag for the chilly night. You could hear rushing water which made for a peaceful experience. The host was very responsive! Would highly recommend!

Great place to stay, we used it for an overnight, note that this is probably a spot that would work best for anything under 30’. We have a 36’ fifth wheel and while we made it in the site, there is somewhat of a steep grade getting onto the property and a few tight turns just before the site. (The hosts also list that the site is not suitable for larger rigs but we did not catch it)
But other than that, an amazing stay with very accommodating hosts.

This was such a great place to spend a few days! Super private & quiet, lots of room for the doggos to run around & the fire pit is just a perfect little spot to relax around. The owners are so helpful & welcoming! Quick to jump on any problems I had, which was only just a little power problem that they fixed right away! Just a fair warning, the driveway is pretty steep so make sure if your towing your trailer, you’re prepared for it. My truck struggled a bit, but we made it!

Beautiful spot. The peace and privacy of boondocking with the amenities of an RV park. Super kind and helpful hosts. We had good clearance for Starlink service. Our dog and toddler had space to roam. Not too far of a drive to amenities and restaurants of lakeside Definitely recommend!
