2 nights at Sanctuary Farm Yurt Glamping

We loved our time at Sanctuary Farm. The farm itself is on a private road, off a minor country road in a heavily treed area - The drive there is spectacular. You know you are in for something special! The yurt was placed well away from the owner's home, which gave lots of privacy and the night sky is DARK, so perfect for stargazing. The composting sawdust outhouse was a short walk from the yurt & surprisingly pleasant - no odor or flies and plenty of ventilation. 1000 times nicer than a port-o-potty. The solar heated camp shower provided by the host worked great. Just be sure to shower in the evening after the water has had all day to heat up! The optional breakfast was delish - definitely worth the cost & we ate out for our other meals, so never used the outdoor kitchen. We enjoyed our time here & would definitely recommend it to others seeking a stay off-the-beaten path.

The site was perfect for us and our dogs traveling with us. They loved the freedom to sniff and explore. The trail to the sandy beach was a nice stroll. The train traffic was light, and hwy noise was not really a problem. It was nice to have a picnic table, and plenty of space to put our chairs. The gate is not really green anymore, but it’s the only gate, so we figured it out. The old hwy bridge has a spectacular view of the gorge. Nice spot for the night.

Loved the unique spot here- in the trees, near the river with a trail down to it, the light on the cliffs in the morning- beautiful! My husband had a hard time sleeping with some train and traffic noise, and I slept great. If you’re a super light sleeper, this may not be your top pick. It was, however, a beautiful place to wake up to after a Missoula concert, when headed back to Washington in the morning :)

Super sweet stay! After a week of camping the absolutely delux shower rooms were a dream! Totally enjoyed: sitting in the shaded porch area plucking one of the guitars hanging in the walls, watching the dogs run free playing, putting my cooler food into the refrigerator for the night, and knowing I could do laundry or make coffee anytime. I also enjoyed sunset yoga from the platform, while watching the deer cross the field. Super friendly, chill and kind hostess. I look forward to staying there again!
