Weekend Trip to Four Creeks Campground

This place is great if you don’t mind no indoor plumbing. The campground is quiet and clean. Michelle is great, very personable and hospitable. My kids were already asking to go back. Disclaimer: I did go on a weekend that it rained and so a lot of people canceled.

I very much enjoyed my time at Shelly's campsite! I had a ton of space and privacy, was right next to a creek, and got to explore the area more. She was very helpful in directions, as it seemed to be difficult finding on the maps. Shower, clean camp bathroom, horses to greet you in the morning. Hope to visit again soon!!!

1 night at Four Creeks Campground

We loved the creek! Our son has a broken foot and needed to burn off some energy so we took him to the creek at night. We threw rocks and the sparks were so cool to watch at night highly recommend. You can also collect as many rocks as you want! Bring the DEET lots of ticks but that's to be expected while camping. The lighting bugs are beautiful too!

This was my first ever experience with Hip Camp and I'm blown away. Elizabeth and Mark is hands down some of the friendliest people! Everywhere you walk you can find gems! We got to set up our tent right by the pond so we had easy access to the kitchen, fishing and the friendly farm animals. We had a blast and can't wait to come back!

A5 is a great spot! Right near the beautiful lakefront and steps to the beach and just short walk to the bathhouse/restrooms. We've stayed at A-section sites 3 times and they are always great. Some folks do come near the campsite to take out rental kayaks, canoes, and pedal boats, but everyone is polite and friendly. We enjoyed some kayaking and a hike around the lake. Bathhouse is one of the nicest I've experience at a camp ground. We shall return!

We love grabbing a few sites by the lake with some other family friends. The kids love the lake access, plenty of trees for their hammocks, and the hiking trails.

We enjoyed Memorial Day Weekend at Spring Lake Ranch! We had 3 spots in the full hookup camper area. The dock area was beautiful- We fished and swam - even though it was pretty cold. The beach area was great for the littles to play in. We also enjoyed playing in the creek and the playground. A few downsides, but not enough to keep us away. The pool was dry - and while a cold weekend - didn't look anywhere ready to go for summer. The sewer alarm kept ringing, and when they came to fix it, they pumped out the sewer - so one evening the camp area smelled like poop. Overall - we had a great weekend with friends! Will definitely return!

Absolutely beautiful and welcoming atmosphere!! We didn't being coffee and went down to the store that next morning to see if we could buy some. They did have Starbucks iced coffee in the cooler, but was looking for grounds. Jonathan offered to make us some from his own coffee machine and then continued to talk while it was brewing! Great people and Absolutely BEAUTIFUL land!! Definitely going back!!!

Weekend Trip to Hawks Bluff Farm Campground

What an awesome amazing adventure! This is absolutely the best place for vacation/camping! Liz was so helpful the entire time and so friendly we felt like family. The tent that was set up and ready for us when we arrived was the cutest thing ever and so comfortable! Showers and bathrooms were great. Rock hunting there is absolutely amazing! You are guaranteed to find amazing things on this property, you will not leave empty handed! They have a shop on site you can buy finished rocks or you can ask for them to cut and polish ones that you find on the property! We had an amazing time and will be back! Thank you for the wonderful memories and experience!

Weekend Trip to Hawks Bluff Farm Campground

The campground is a farm complete with goats, cows and at least one horse. There are several composting toilets and two comfortable showers. The camp kitchen is well stocked and is great for meeting fellow campers. There are designated electric sites, but most of the others seem to be wherever looks good. A short hike to Mill Creek completes the grounds. There are trails as well, but I did not get to check them out on this trip. What makes the property is the owner Elizabeth and rock guru, Mark. They each went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. I was originally only going to stay one night but decided to stay two. And the rocks. The rocks are amazing! Mark cuts and polishes rocks on-site and it's really cool to experience. Creating a peaceful place to relax and heal while appreciating and respecting nature is a wonderful idea. The campground is a work in progress, but I am excited to see how it grows.

Had a great time exploring the river area with the family, Michelle was very sweet, she was understanding of our situation and allowed us to check in early. Only recommendation would be to bring some tick repellent. We are newbie campers, we were close to the brush which led to a good amount of lone star ticks on our stuff.

A wonderful peaceful experience in a gorgeous rural setting.....mules braying, cows mooing, goats bleating and some friend dogs looking for a good petting. The RV site worked out perfectly and we enjoyed some nice walks around the farm whilst looking for a few select rock specimens particular to the area. Had some interesting weather but was quickly called to the safety of the basement in the house where we had a great conversation with Mark....the rock specialist!!! A great place for families looking to get away from the hustle/bustle if the city and enjoy an amazing rural experience. Thanks to both Elizabeth and Mark for their hospitality. Roderick & Audrey

We camped at the Missouri site beside a small stream, overlooking a field of horses. It was picture perfect. We floated in rafts in the deep part of the creek and saw a bald eagle. The host is so friendly and welcoming. Always love this place!

We had the most amazing weekend at Four Creeks! From the huge gorgeous tree at our site, to easy creek access, amazing rock hunting, peaceful scenery, the stars, and so much more - I can’t recommend this campground enough! In a great location with so many things around, you’ll never be bored. We will be back!
