We still find wild strawberries growing. The hills we ride and hike in, were once used by Jessie James and his gang. They robbed the local bank in Pineville, MO. We stayed in the modern cabin #1 and had a very pleasant stay. The campground is small and backs up to a creek. You're close to Branson attractions but not in the middle of them like on the strip. I highly recommend you check them out if your headed to the area.

I enjoyed my stay at Misty Oak Cabin. It was everything I needed and nothing I did not. I loved the seclusion. I don’t know what a holiday weekend is like, but I think I could count on one hand the number of cars and trucks I saw pass in front of the cabin. With that, I was about 10 minutes away from fishing at Bennett Springs.
Everything in the cabin was neat and well kept. Check in and check out was seamless. Rachel always responded to messages within a few minutes.
Next time I need seclusion, Misty Oak Cabin is definitely on my list.

Kind and helpful staff with a beautiful little spread south of Clinton and north of Springfield. Accommodations of the Cowboy Cabin were solid with only a few small suggestions. Having a microwave with the kitchenette is great but I'd recommend finding a way to get a 2-burner propane stove so guests can cook (I brought my own). The 2nd thing would be that the window A/C was trying it's best, it really had trouble keeping the cabin cool during the warmest time of the day, once the installed wall unit is up and operational though I'm sure it'll be fine. Last and equally important, the wifi. I'm sure it's difficult to get anything faster but 5 up and 5 down is just not enough to keep up with the modern internet these days. The 5G signal I got on my phone was actually faster.
