The ranch has beautiful scenery, lots of Wildlife, berries and wildflowers. Edgewater Beach Resort is a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. There are 2 RV sites at Edgewater that are located just a few feet from the water's edge. Lake Taneycomo is a cold- water lake that is famous for trout fishing. The resort has 3 docks that you can fish off of. You can also fish anywhere along the water's edge. Each RV site has water, sewer, and electric hookups, wifi, a private picnic table, and a private firepit/ grill. The sites are separated by a privacy fence for the utmost privacy. The resort has boat rentals, a fish cleaning station, an outdoor pool that is open from Memorial weekend through Labor Day weekend, a playground, and a laundry room. I also have boat slips available to rent for $20 a night. The resort is next to Empire Park which has lots of fishing spots, a playground, a disc golf course, and walking trails. The resort is 16 miles from The Branson Landing. You can get there by car or boat. Ask me about adding a boat slip to your reservation or about getting a discount for a long-term stay. Please note, the water spigots at the RV sites can't be turned on if the outdoor temperature is below freezing. *Lake Taneycomo will look different based on the seasons, weather, and the flow of water in the lake. It is common to see a large amount of duckweed in the lake, especially in the coves, during periods of high heat. It isn't attractive, but it is harmless. The maintenance crew at the resort constantly works to keep the coves looking as nice as possible, but it is a natural body of water, so there's only so much that can be done.*

Small functional farm for animal lovers - goats, sheep, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowls, chickens (animals vary by time of year). Pond has fish. Short drive to Lebanon (all amenities), Bennett Spring State Park, and Springfield. 1.5 hours to Branson, Table Rock Lake, and other state parks. Fresh eggs with advance request (subject to availability). Vehicles + trailers (combined) greater than 30 feet not recommended when grounds are wet. May be difficult to turn around. Comments: 1) Please excuse the mess - we have many projects in progress in the front of the property. The back of the property is private. 2) We recommend repellent for ticks, chiggers, mosquitos, and other bugs during warm season. 3) The Cicada season usually starts in May. We recommend earplugs if that sound bothers you. 4) During heavy rain, there is a seasonal creek leading to the back of the property that can be difficult to pass without a 4X4. If you aren't driving a 4x4, park closer to the house on the gravel driveway. 5) There is a walking trail around the perimeter of the property.

Generator rental available on a first reserve, first serve basis. Located about halfway between Springfield, MO. and Branson, MO. Nearby attractions include trout fishing, and a mountain bike park. Please note, This campground is located in a floodplain and weather related cancellations are common. Fish, Fish, Fish. This river is primed for fishing. You will have to bring your own boat, or float as I don't have good river bank fishing access. I added a small floating dock last year to fish or swim off of. There is a state park boat ramp a short distance away. The steps in the photos are plenty sturdy to tie boats to overnight. This river is fishable with flat bottom jet drive boats most of the spring and early summer and floatable year round. You can float to your campsite and relax instead of waiting in line at the boat ramp. Also we are located about 13 miles from Crane Creek, A blue ribbon trout park. You can camp here and fish there.

Great location. We love this place but this is the first time we had any issues. The site next to us was empty and some people decided to use the fire pit and site to park and drink for each evening. It wasn't too much of a problem but we had to run the fan in our bedroom to block out the noise and conversation. Other than that it is still beautiful.

Clean, private, and spacious. The host was great and accommodating, the property and views were beautiful, and there was even some wildlife. Note that the ground is quite rocky when hammering in stakes. You do hear animals at night (coyotes, dogs, and a rooster) and planes fly overhead (I guess the site is near an airport), but I slept well with earplugs. I had good mobile service in some spots.

4 nights at Lakefront- 16 Miles from Branson!

This site is nice. It does have a lake view, but if you have a traditional camper you will be facing a privacy fence when you first exit as there is another camping site in front of it. When we first arrived the 110 hook up for the electricity was not working. We were easily able to contact Matt and Laura, and they sent their handyman, Gary, within the hour. We were able to communicate with Gary prior to his arrival and deduced the breakers were bad. Gary was unable to secure new ones, and they had to be ordered, however, he did get an adapter for the other hookup, and we were able to have electricity for our entire stay. Everything went very smoothly and was handled very professionally. We would definitely stay at this site again.

4 nights at Lakefront- 16 Miles from Branson!

This was out second time staying at this spot and it is very nice. Located on the lake. Everything worked well, site is nicely graveled and easy to enter/exit with a camper. The only thing that was a little bit different this time than last summer was that there were quite a few non leashed dogs roaming around. One continually tried to get into the trash can. They did not seem aggressive at all, but having small grandchildren running around made me a little bit nervous at times.

We loved it. A quiet pocket of woods that feels worlds away. The campsite is old-school and unfussy—just everything you need :) —it’s thoughtfully stocked and surprisingly cozy. We went during late summer and the trees produce a flood of green, and companioned by the nearby river, it was all entirely refreshing. We loved the privacy, the walkways, a home for a fire & a canoe at the ready. If you want seclusion with a touch of trust and care, this spot is a pure woodland balm.

had a wonderful stay here with my friends. the land is really pretty and our spot was shaded, great access to the river, nice and secluded. bathroom was clean. greg was great. definitely gonna stay here again! hidden gem of missouri for sure

Jack is a great host, when I asked about the vehicle length he extended the road enough so I could drive my van in, and I definitely wouldn't have been able to get down into the site if he didn't do that. It's a real cozy spot that's far away enough from the river so you don't have to worry about the rain flooding you out. Me and the boys were able to get good fishing done (catch and release) and boy there was a lot of crawfish in that river. Managed to even see some otters on one of the sand bars. Jack was very responsive if we needed anything, and the site had a good amount of amenities that we highly appreciated during our time there. The site itself is slanted in most spots, so definitely make sure you choose your tent spot well and whatever you're sleeping on doesn't slide around your tarp. It rained for most of our time there, but like I said earlier, it's in a good spot so you should have no issues besides a little mud. Very secluded and private, was able to make plenty of noise with the boys without bothering anyone. If we needed any last minute supplies, town was just 5 minutes away.

This is our family's third time renting Orphans Island. We love that we can rent the spot and have the privacy to be as crazy as we are. Greg does a great job keeping things clean and updated. He is super helpful and easy to get a hold of if you have questions. We will definitely be coming back again!

Weekend Trip to Orphans Island

This was my first experience with Hipcamp and I truly enjoyed my time there. Greg is a great host, the bathroom was kept clean during our 4 day trip. This was the first girl’s camping trip I took with my best friend where it was just the two of us and we had a blast the entire time. There was plenty of shade, a pretty big fire pit, and tons of privacy. When the sun was too much, we grabbed our river tube and headed to the private dock off of the James river. The water was clear and the surroundings and wildlife was unforgettable. Despite the rain, our campsite stayed dry and we didn’t get bogged down in a ton of mud. It was easier than I thought it would be to find the camp itself and there is a Dollar General about 15 minutes away, so it was convenient. We will definitely be back to do a couple’s camping trip very soon. I am pleased that there is an app like this for people who want to camp more privately. It was a great experience all the way around.
