Our five acres is secluded yet only 1.3 miles from the interstate. We offer a guesthouse and primitive camping on the back 3 acres. We have a well hydrant (shared) and a port-a-pottie which is located in our 'hay shed'. Parking is located next to the bright orange slow moving vehicle sign by the row of trees just passed the guesthouse as you come down Kaysinger Road. Campers must walk from the parking area for at least 100 feet to 400 feet depending on where you decide to pitch your tent. Only experience night time hikers should arrive and select the rear further sites. We are sure you too will enjoy the wooded forest and back dry creek area that includes a small prairie field and secluded woods complete with hiking trails. Not Mushroom But She Cute 80 acres

TLDR: seriously remote location with a view of the stars but also a wheelchair accessible curated home. 20ish minutes from swimming holes. We've dubbed this place the Mushroom House because of the seasonal abundance the woods provide. This is a place for nature lovers to bask in the forest and all she has to offer. You can see all the stars! We're fairly close (about 20 minutes) to many swimming holes, floating outfitters, etc. There is a cafe about 5 minutes away. It's a tranquil, remote location. This is a great place for hiking, foraging, plant/fungi/animal ID'ing, forest meditations, relaxing by a fire, working on art, writing, or self-reflection. We have taken over this property to preserve the forest and all the nature within it. We plan to continually improve the site with more wildflowers, food trees, shelter for wildlife, marked hiking trails, etc. The mushroom house and the 80 acres surrounding it are a work in progress. Wheelchair accessible 700 sq ft home with a queen-size bed, a twin pull-out couch, and a queen air mattress. Decor: MO Nature with a touch of vintage charm and maximalism. The mushroom house is about 700 sq ft, fully accessible, and has everything you expect a house to, including wifi. It has a wonderful wrap-around porch on 3 sides with plenty of seating and lounging areas. There is a primitive fire pit area with access to a hose. We ask that fires not happen on very dry, windy days as we are in the middle of the woods. You can hike the 80 acres or just lounge around and watch the wildlife from the porch. Property Rules: ✨Just be respectful and have a great time! ✨Dogs must remain on a leash while outside. This is for their safety. The forest is huge and we don't want anyone getting lost. ✨No smoking or vaping indoors ✨No trespassing on others property. ✨Leave wild animals be. ✨The garden hose must always accompany your bonfire. Please wet the area down before you start your fire. NO FIRES allowed when it's SUPER DRY. We are in the forest. ✨No cutting trees, destroying plants, etc. ✨5mph on driveway for the sake of your car (and the forest creatures). ✨No animal hunting. ✨No shooting. ✨No commercial photography or filming (contact us) ✨The pole barn and RV are off limits. Enjoy the quarter-mile walk to the old Dillard Mill Store, displayed in museum fashion at the entrance of Dillard Mill State Historic Site. Tour the old grist mill in working form, fish for sunfish, smallmouth bass and largemouth bass at the Mill, and take memorable photos. Just across from our main entrance take the half-mile trail through Mark Twain National Forest and skip rocks on the Huzzah Creek! Ask us about access to our private gravel bar on the Huzzah. You will pass it, and the private parking, on Dillard Mill Rd on your drive into Pine Valley We may or may not be on the premise during individual rentals. If there are any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out. Other things to note While this space provides most utilities and amenities you'd find at your home, it is important to note it is still a camping-style getaway. We do our best to treat the area, but you will encounter insects. AT&T has limited cell phone reception in the area, Sprint is very spotty, and Verizon is pretty much unavailable for service. We provide the best free wifi available to help with communication back to the real world, but it is rather slow. The best wifi reception is near the General Store/Courtyard. We try and keep the area well maintained. You may see ATVs/tractors on our property and on the gravel road. Pets are welcome for an extra $50 per stay. Please note our dogs may be on the property. They are friendly and well-behaved, although sometimes curious. Other guests may have no-leash pets as well. Park right next to your glamper. Arrive anytime after 4pm, just give us an eta to know when to expect you. If your glamper is not ready upon your arrival, feel free to explore our farm, visit Dillard Mill or head down to the Huzzah while we make it ready for your stay. Overview

Located in the Central Missouri Ozarks Mountains, Leasburg may be a small speck of a town, but the surrounding landscapes offer a grand taste of the outdoors. Meramec River, Courtois Creek, and Huzzah Creek are hot spots for fishing, paddling, and floating. Nearby state parks feature caves to explore. A number of private RV parks are found across the area, with full hookups, free wifi, and other amenities.

Onondaga Cave State Park

Start your spelunking adventures at Onondaga Cave State Park, located a few minutes outside of town. Lighted pathways and guided tours make it easy to experience the grandeur of this cavern, where a river flows through the dramatic structures. Above ground, the Meramec River extends the recreational opportunities, as do the trails through the surrounding woodlands. The park’s highly-rated campground features basic and water/electric sites for both tents and RVs.

Meramec State Park

Meramec State Park is a quick skip away from Leasburg, 15 miles northeast of town. The Meramec River makes a lazy stroll through the park, serving as a focal point for adventure, including fishing, swimming, and paddling. Trails crisscross the woodlands, and the exploration continues below the ground at Fisher Cave. Three public campgrounds offer a range of services, from basic tent camping to full-hookup RV sites. Cabins and a hotel are also available.

Mark Twain National Forest

Head south of Leasburg to find several units of the Mark Twain National Forest. Hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and more can be found across the 1.5 million acres of woodlands. The trailhead of the Courtois Creek Section of the Ozark Trail is nearby. The 45-mile section connects to a broader network with 200-miles of trails. Near Leasburg, public camping can be found at Brazil Creek Recreation Area, Red Bluff Campground, and Council Bluff Recreation Area. Dry camping and electric hookups are available, with sites for both tents and RVs.

When to go

Pick your season based on your choice of recreation. Summer is best for watersports on the creeks and rivers, but temperatures may be too hot and humid for hiking. Spring and fall are favorites for hitting the trails, especially with autumnal scenery peaking in October. While winter brings cold temperatures and occasional bouts of snow and ice, some campers enjoy the serenity.
