We are just getting Dotson acres started. Our motto is faith, family and farmstead. We just moved here this summer of 2025 from Tennessee so the property is a work in progress. I am a veteren of the Marine Corps and also a volunteer firefighter and we live and operate under christian values.
Eventually to add to your camping experience, ive got plans for some off grid cabins and an earthship. In addition to camp spots, ai would like to make a little prayer area in the woods with some benches and a big cross. We hope to have a trail cut and cleared for a small hike soon. The plans for Dotson acres is to also sell chainsaw carvings and other things I weld, sculpt or create. Plant starts and garden produce, chicken eggs and any other creative ways we can find to help fund our dream of being together doing what we love instead of going to a normal job to make someone elses dreams come true.
Not far away you can visit Mark Twain National Forest, Montauk State Park, Ozark National Scenic Riverways, and the Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Home and Museum to name a few. Roughly 40 minutes off I44 at rolla and 20 minutes ftom hwy 60 just 2 hours to branson and springfield. Walmart and fast food are just 10 minutes away. We are new to the area but there are other lakes, trails and stuff to do close. Lots of flea markets and antiques stores close by to go explore.
Located on a small private lane there are a few quiet neighbors. There is a parking area to access trail by walk in, though we are trying to make it vehicle accessable. Our first spot is able to fit a small van camper or a pickup with a small box camper though its pretty tight. 4x4 may be needed.

Ozark Ridge Spike Camps offer quiet, primitive campsites on a wooded ridge surrounded by the Mark Twain National Forest and Rocky Creek Conservation Area. If you enjoy exploring the woods, hunting, hiking, mushroom hunting, or simply getting away from crowds, this is a great Ozark basecamp.
We are about 4–5 miles from Winona, Missouri, where you can find fuel, groceries, and basic supplies.
Each campsite includes a 3 or 4 foot wide fire ring, picnic table, and clearly marked campsite area.
The North Sites are designed for up to 3 vehicles each. And up to 10 people at each site. The Camper Pull through site (first site inside the fence) can accommodate the camper plus 2-3 vehicles and the Tent site (the 2nd site) can accommodate 3 vehicles plus tents.

We are just getting Dotson acres started. Our motto is faith, family and farmstead. We just moved here this summer of 2025 from Tennessee so the property is a work in progress. I am a veteren of the Marine Corps and also a volunteer firefighter and we live and operate under christian values.
Eventually to add to your camping experience, ive got plans for some off grid cabins and an earthship. In addition to camp spots, ai would like to make a little prayer area in the woods with some benches and a big cross. We hope to have a trail cut and cleared for a small hike soon. The plans for Dotson acres is to also sell chainsaw carvings and other things I weld, sculpt or create. Plant starts and garden produce, chicken eggs and any other creative ways we can find to help fund our dream of being together doing what we love instead of going to a normal job to make someone elses dreams come true.
Not far away you can visit Mark Twain National Forest, Montauk State Park, Ozark National Scenic Riverways, and the Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Home and Museum to name a few. Roughly 40 minutes off I44 at rolla and 20 minutes ftom hwy 60 just 2 hours to branson and springfield. Walmart and fast food are just 10 minutes away. We are new to the area but there are other lakes, trails and stuff to do close. Lots of flea markets and antiques stores close by to go explore.
Located on a small private lane there are a few quiet neighbors. There is a parking area to access trail by walk in, though we are trying to make it vehicle accessable. Our first spot is able to fit a small van camper or a pickup with a small box camper though its pretty tight. 4x4 may be needed.

This 12-acre property is high in the Ozarks, literally next door to the Mark Twain National Forest. The space being rented is large enough for a small trailer and several vehicles, and can also accommodate multiple tents. Nice view.
It can be used for vacation camping, hunting base camp, hiking trips, or photography expeditions. You can also use the space as a base camp for rafting trips.
This place is absolutely crawling with wildlife: deer, bear, turkeys, and countless other critters big and small. There’s even supposedly a red wolf or two in the area.
The property is separated into two halves by a high ridge. One side of the ridge is for living and farming, and the other side is for hunting and hiking. There is a seasonal creek on each side of the ridge.

This is a long-term arrangement, but don’t plan on collecting a ton of “resources” here. Plots must be kept clean and tidy, following all rules for a comfortable stay. Ozark Ridge Spike Camps offer quiet, primitive campsites on a wooded ridge surrounded by the Mark Twain National Forest and Rocky Creek Conservation Area. If you enjoy exploring the woods, hunting, hiking, mushroom hunting, or simply getting away from crowds, this is a great Ozark basecamp.
We are about 4–5 miles from Winona, Missouri, where you can find fuel, groceries, and basic supplies.
Each campsite includes a 3 or 4 foot wide fire ring, picnic table, and clearly marked campsite area.
The North Sites are designed for up to 3 vehicles each. And up to 10 people at each site. The Camper Pull through site (first site inside the fence) can accommodate the camper plus 2-3 vehicles and the Tent site (the 2nd site) can accommodate 3 vehicles plus tents.

Ozark Ridge Spike Camps are great for hiking, wildlife watching, mushroom hunting, and hunting during legal seasons. The rivers near Eminence and Alley Spring are also a short drive away.
Access: Rural gravel roads through the Mark Twain Forest. Gravel and natural roads may become muddy after rain. Please be prepared.

A wonderful farm way off the road! Sites are wide with full hook ups. We only stayed one night on long haul across the country. Use google maps though, Apple Maps sends you the wrong direction! If your looking for peace and quiet and to get away from it all there isn't a better place.

Where to begin!!??? We absolutely loved our stay at BRCM!... we stayed in our camper on an electric site and it was fantastic from start to finish. Roger and Lela are just incredible people who have created a very special place. Between the swimming pool, bar and grill, playground, dogs, and general vibe, this place is a one of a kind getaway- more of an experience really. We loved it. And it's minutes away from the Current river where we set up for a few hours to have some river fun.
It's truly a family place- we met other campers/lodgers who had already been there several times, which i absolutely understand! This is a place you keep coming back to because Roger and Lela make it feel like home. We can't wait to come back!!!!

This was my first solo camp with my dog and it was the perfect spot! Loved having a spot all to myself. I wasn’t sure how much firewood I would need and Susan made sure I was taken care of. Also loved the firewood was locked away from the elements but also easy to access and having electricity out there was great! Rocky falls is two miles down the road and is beautiful of course (has restrooms also). I had the most amazing time and look forward to frequenting this site!

The camp ground is in a great location for floating and draws a fairly relaxed crowd. Not much rowdiness going on, very family friendly. Unfortunately, I picked a weekend when there was a large trail ride going on down the hill, in town. We were able to hear their music from the camp ground, until pretty late. The camp ground itself was as quiet as any similar camp ground I’ve been in. Restrooms and showers were clean, water was hot, and the store had what we needed. Sandy was wonderful to talk to and work with. I’ll stay again, next time I float in Eminence.

Weekend Trip to Delightful 1 bedroom peaceful tiny house
We loved every second of being at this tiny home! Melissa and Rick’s farm is so beautiful, right next to the house are horses with a very friendly horse Bubba who will come and greet you. On this property there are an assortment of animals: cows, chickens, cats, the CUTEST dogs, and friendly goats. Rick is so friendly and took my boyfriend and I on a tour and it was our favorite part of this trip, we didn’t want to leave!! Inside the Home there is a microwave, tv with dvd player, plates and cutlery, an electric skillet, clawfoot tub and a shower. There is no kitchen sink so we just used bathroom sink to do dishes, wasn’t too much of an issue. Outside is a bench perfectly located so you can enjoy the sunset, which you’re going to because they are truly magical. You can make a campfire and there is also a grill available. Was a great time and we are already talking about coming back, Melissa and Rick are amazing!!

Weekend Trip to Delightful 1 bedroom peaceful tiny house
I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this place. It met every expectation and added more. The land is beautiful, with slightly rolling hills, but in those hills are about 30 different horses with a whole cascade of personalities, and about 20 cows and calves(watching the calves play is so cute, I was giggling like a maniac all weekend). Rick (Melissa’s husband) is such a great host, he has a story for every animal on his property, and you can tell that he loves being out there. Besides the cattle’s and horses, there’s a wide array of birds such as guinea fowl and peacocks, goats and chickens, some beautiful country pigeons, and even a domesticated raccoon named Captain(who has more personality than the rest of the animals combined). The retired hunting dogs that live on the property are SO excited to see a new face and to get pet, along with a few of the smallest, cutest dogs I’ve ever seen in my life. The house itself is also a treat! They provided a mini fridge, microwave, and a decent sized electric skillet for cooking, along with a coffee pot and Keurig(with coffee supplied!). There’s also a small tv with a dvd player attached, and a wide assortment of movies. The bathroom was wicked cool, my girlfriend really loved ending our second day with a good soak in the clawfoot tub, but there’s also a shower in case you get dirty from petting horses out in the field with Rick. All in all, this place was something incredible, we will 110% be back to stay in here again!!

Katrina was very kind and welcoming. The other campers were friendly as well. The spaces are close together, but just what I needed to sleep over for the night for a family gathering in the area. The bathroom/shower was nice and clean as well. I did go down to the river and it is quite the trip downhill in my 4-wheel truck, so might not be for everyone. It is secluded and quiet and lovely though. However, Buck Hollow is also nearby and not a far drive. It was quiet and I felt safe.
