We turned one of our barns into a place to have music and line dancing, however over time it turned into a perfect place for weddings and gathering events. We enjoy meeting the people who visit our farm . The sunsets behind the barn are therapeutic and soothing to the soul! Our small animals are the heart of the farm. On a road trip looking to get out of the city, we found a run-down, absentee landlord property off of MO-142. The land had potential, but was neglected. We contacted the owners, bought the property, and started the cleanup. Mountains of garbage and signs of neglect everywhere. We worked hard, loving the land, listening to the land to make it clean, peaceful and full of welcoming energy. Just 22 miles to canoe & kayaking at Twin Bridges, 37 miles to Tecumseh Park Fishing Access where the North Fork River runs into the Norfork Lake for Striped Bass and Trout. We are conveniently located near the upper current river and the ozark national scenic riverway where many come to float or paddle. In addition to the river, there are many other nearby things to see and do- Echo Bluff State park, Current River State Park, Montauk trout park, the wild horses of Shannon county, Alley Spring and Mill as well as other cave/rock/water attractions. Our location is also great for dark sky viewing. Horse back riding (rental) is also available nearby. The area is truly an outdoor lovers paradise. The Dogwood cabin is a hand built, tiny cabin (204 sf) perched on the glades of Conway hollow. If you have ever wanted to experience tiny house living or life on a small homestead, this cabin is for you. This is a grid tied solar cabin with a single conventional outlet, poor or no cell phone coverage or tv's. There are, however, usb ports in the cabin for your gadgets but wifi access is weather permitting and much slower than in most places! Everything but food and drink are provided for you! All linens, soaps, shampoos, dishes and utensils are provided. There is a small fridge, microwave and coffee pot in cabin as well as indoor bathroom/shower. There is a queen bed in the loft and full size day bed on main floor. Charcoal grill on deck with nearby fire pit /grill A reasonable amount of charcoal and firewood, downfall is free and extra wood can be purchased for $10 an arm load. All you need to do is bring food and drink! Farm fresh eggs (seasonal) and breakfast basics (pancake mix, oatmeal, eggs) are provided Although, we are very rural there is a small convenience store/ canoe kayak rental 1.5 miles away. Eclipse Special! Rent out my quiet, secluded cabin nestled on 20 acres in the Ozark Mountains for the eclipse. This tranquil retreat features moss-covered walking trails leading to a natural spring. Enjoy the comforts of our 3-bedroom, 1-bath cabin with a wrap-around porch. The porch includes an outdoor dining area with lighting, a Big Green Egg, barbecue grill, smoker, bistro table, rocking chairs, and torches. Just off the porch, you'll find a fire pit with a swing and additional rocking chairs. As a bonus, we have a one-room bunkhouse with a king-size bed and refrigerator. While it has electricity, it does not have running water. Additionally, we offer an oversized 4-acre yard for tents, providing ample space for guests. Explore the trails to the natural spring (0.4 miles) or take a more adventurous 2-mile hike to the Jacks Fork River. Feel free to build a fire for cooking, relaxing, or whatever. A cool part of camping here is that we are a mostly off-grid homestead (with wifi) and we are a small community. We raise ducks and geese along with many gardens and wild spaces, and we build really cool things out of our lands bountiful resources like our timber frame slipstraw and cob tiny house. Your campsite can be just a couple minutes walk away from our main community center, or you are welcome to set up camp farther away and be more remote in the woods. There are multiple swimming holes along Little Creek, some more secluded ones that are clothing optional. We also have walking trails that you are welcome to enjoy. CAR or RV CAMPING: We have a spot to park a small RV or camper and plug into electricity. You are also welcome to car camp. We typically serve two communally shared meals every day and you are invited to join us for these. These meals are included in the price of your stay.
