This river is fishable with flat bottom jet drive boats most of the spring and early summer and floatable year round. You can float to your campsite and relax instead of waiting in line at the boat ramp. Also we are located about 13 miles from Crane Creek, A blue ribbon trout park. You can camp here and fish there.

This was an oasis of beauty and healing. I was a solo female camper. Mizzy was a great host and I could see her working to maintain the camp to its beauty. I felt very safe. The hippy van was great. The bathroom was clean and I enjoyed all the special nature decor around the camp. Perfect views. Great fire pits. Loved the drive up the gravel road and back it’s breathtaking. We got there shortly after sunset, but we were able to find the site, no problem! Usually you expect to orangutan hang off a tree and aim for a hole when camping, but they provide a luxury private bucket toilet experience, 10/10. Our only regret was not seeing the note about exploring the old logging trails before we left for a different hike. Check under the water jug! A bunch of cute mushrooms around the site too. Also a great site for bird watching!

We had an amazing experience at Howler Bike Park. Jennifer and John were the most accommodating hosts and truly went above and beyond. The temperature got very low this weekend and they went so far as to buy extra blankets and took them around to make sure we were warm enough. The glamping tent was spacious and close to the fire pit, restrooms, and all the great things at Base Camp. The restrooms and showers were very nice and well kept. The coffee shop, welcome center, the food truck - it was all spectacular. We will absolutely be coming back again.

2 nights at Carver Ridge Camp Buffalo River

It was a great place to park our Airstream BC! Communication was great and the host was friendly when he came by to check on us in the evening. Restrooms are well-lit and conveniently located in the middle of all the sites as is the covered pavilion. It is a small park and all of the sites are in one loop with sites 1-7 being opposite of the main road, sites 8-11 along the back of the property (backed by the most trees) and 12+ are on the same side as the main road. We stayed in 12 which was good, but next time I’ll choose 8-11 to lessen road noise and provide a prettier view. Overall a great stay, we will be back!

10/10 recommend, this was a great camping experience. It was off the beaten path and easy to find. Far enough from the other campsites that you couldn’t even see their lights through the woods. Very clean and thought out, trails around the camp were very well marked and easy to navigate. Will definitely be back!
