Lake Perry Campground was established in July, 2024. We are located just outside the main gates of Lake Perry. Lake Perry is a private, gated, lake community that is only accessible by lot owners and their guests. Land is mostly wooded with small streams. Two miles from the Huzzah Creek for swimming and fishing. Shoal Creek runs along the edge of the property, and lies within the Mark Twain National Forest with thousands of acres of public land available nearby. Campers MUST be respectful of our neighbors, including no loud noise after 10:30pm.

There are two camp spots available with full hookups. One has a patio. It is within walking distance of Goff spring lake and a community center and bar. There are 13 lakes in the community that are all accessible from the camp spot. There's also good fishing. There's community dump for trash.

We had a lovely 3 night stay on Ryan and Tanya’s beautiful property. The site was large, level and easy to maneuver around with a west facing view. Every sunset was stunning. It was very private with 30amp and sewer. We filled our fresh water tank when we arrived. There are hoses long enough to reach the site if you need to refill. The hosts were easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any questions. St Louis is an easy 30 minute drive if you want to explore. There are also a couple small towns that are closer with provisions, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Ryan and Tanya were wonderful, kind hosts. We will definitely stay again next time we’re in the area.

4 nights at Monarch Hill Vineyard

Darrell and Jeanna were excellent hosts; they were friendly and helpful while also being mindful of the importance of the solitude needed to thoroughly enjoy their beautiful property. We will definitely go back for another visit (or more). This visit was towards the end of November, so the shower and privy were welcome comforts in the brisk weather, though also invigorating. Fireside relaxation was the primary activity as we watched an impressive variety of birds by the pond. With the lack of light pollution, the stargazing opportunities were a treat. We hope to be back for the wine harvest next year!

The farm and staff are absolutely fantastic! We had an issue with charges, which they resolved with some investment of time on their part. They all I’ve and beyond in service. Helping us find our site in the dark, making sure we had enough supplies and even throwing a pair of jeans in the dryer for our teenager 😁 Truly kind people!

This was our third consecutive year camping at Bill’s campground, and each time is as wonderful as before (if not more). Bill cares for the land so well and thoughtfully that it’s difficult not to be stunned everywhere you look. Key highlights (besides the joy of wilderness camping) include a variety of terrains, a cold and refreshing creek, a pond, generous wood bundles/refills, and great conversations with Bill. There are plenty of attractions nearby such as Elephant Rocks and Johnson’s Shut Ins, which I highly recommend checking out if you’re in the area. Thank you as always, Bill!

Susan’s property was the perfect secluded camping spot. It was easy to find, there were lots of friendly farm animals that came to say hello, and the camp sites were far from the house, tucked away by the tree line so you could enjoy the pasture and the woods at the same time. The composting toilet was close enough and clean, and we had easy access to potable water and firewood. We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again. Thank you!
