Valais Dream Ranch & Retreat

17 sites · Tents19 acres · Middleton, TN
CALLING ALL ANIMAL LOVERS! Welcome to Valais Ranch & Retreat! When you stay at VDR&R, you get so much more than your typical camping trip, you're getting a truly magical and unforgettable, dopamine-boosting experience unlike no other, that will have you returning again and again! :) Hi! We are Lolly & Eric Clough, and we named our ranch after the Swiss Valais Blacknose Sheep (a.k.a. "The World's Cutest Sheep!") If you've never heard of this ADORABLE breed of sheep, you absolutely MUST. GOOGLE. THEM... and like so many others, you will fall in love just like we did - so much so that we became part of the official breed-up program to bring this wonderful breed to the U.S.! (You're welcome!) :) We currently have 10 wonderful Valais Blacknose sheep and lambs! We also have 4 Nigerian Dwarf goats and 2 baby goats, and the sweetest miniature donkey you'll ever meet, named Walther! :) All of our animals have free range of our property during the day, but are penned up at night to keep them safe. *** IMPORTANT TO NOTE: We strongly recommend bringing ear buds/plugs to block out the barking of our LGDs (livestock guardian dogs) through the night. They're just doing their job, but if you're not used to it, you may not sleep very well, so please bring ear buds or plugs! They absolutely love people, so they may get curious and try to come hang out with you in your tent! Because of this, we will provide you with a spray water bottle so you can easily keep them away from your tent. It obviously doesn't hurt them, but it works at keeping them away. *** Come pitch your tent (or rent one of ours, subject to availability!) on the grass or on the wooden deck near the edge of our pond, or walk our beautiful 19 grassy and wooded acres to find your favorite spot to set up camp. During your stay, feel free to explore our property, do some fishing (bring your own gear!) or just relax by the pond, get to know our friendly animals, take a snooze in our hammock, feed the chickens, turkeys and ducks, pet our loving LGDs, pose for professional pictures while snuggling with our sheep, goats, and mini donkey, make your own pizza in our DIY outdoor brick oven stove, (coming soon!) then start a campfire and enjoy s'mores, before settling in for a cozy night under the stars!

Tiny Dreamer Homestead

9 sites · RVs, Tents4 acres · Hornsby, TN
Welcome to Tiny Dreamer Homestead. If you are traveling through or just want to get away, we would love to host you! The land is mowed down, lush green with some trees in the middle and just all around beautiful. I just added 4 gravel Rv pads and gravel paths around the homestead as well as 6 large wildflower gardens. Right now there are no activities on the land. Just a place to stay if someone wants to camp or you can walk on the paths. If you have a golf cart, you can ride those on the property. I do own 23 chickens which are a delight and I sell farm fresh eggs. Produce coming eventually. I also rent my tiny house on wheels on Airbnb. The camp sites have not been broken in yet so the spots are not in a designated area yet. There are 4 tent camp spots to choose from. The photos you see are the areas you can choose from. I supply a fire pit for your use during your stay.

Frog Pond Tent Camp

1 site · Tent18 acres · Adamsville, TN
This 18 acre homestead is conveniently located right on Hwy 64, only 7 miles from the Stantonville Amish community; Shiloh Battlefield and archaeological site; and Savannah, TN. The town of Adamsville (home of Sheriff Buford Pusser!) is only 1.5 miles away, for convenient access to grocery and gas stations. There's a 1-acre spring fed pond at the back of the property that's great for swimming, sitting and relaxing, or even fishing (though there's not much in there but perch!) We maintain a 1-mile loop path around our pastures perfect for an early morning or evening stroll, and there is a small 4-5 acre wood guests are also welcome to explore. There is a designated campfire area, and we kindly ask guests not to burn fires at their campsite. In addition to our new flower field and personal vegetable garden, the farm is home to one retired musician (me); one super cool shih tzu (Sirius); and 24 chickens. And we can't wait to share this lovely space with you.
