Our goal was to find a place we could wake up in the woods, and this was the spot! Nice having coffee on the deck overlooking the property and ending the day w a fire. We were pretty self-sufficient, but my impression was that if we needed something we could just message to ask. I would have liked to be more social w. our hosts but just didn’t have the energy; the whole point of us being there was for a much needed respite. Also we were there during the work week and they were busy going about their business. We stayed in the treehouse and didn’t need the heat even, it is pretty well insulated which also cuts the train noise others commented on. Super cute goat! Very personable turkey! Definitely the woods go back a fair ways for exploring. We found good nearby hikes too; the big loop around the lake at Metamora-Hadley was a really good route.

If you're looking for a place to get away for a few days I'd highly recommend. Booked during the week in September and had the whole place to myself. Plenty of places to walk around on the property and explore. I stayed in the treehouse and would encourage you to try it for yourself.
The hosts left me pretty much to myself unless I requested something and they were friendly and quick to respond if I needed something (fresh eggs, firewood, etc).
The tent campsites I saw were all nice and clean and were far enough apart to have some privacy if they have multiple guests. They also have a group campground.
One note, watch the chickens, they are sneaky and will sneak up and steal your food if you aren't careful.
I'll definitely be back.

The Treehouse and surrounding property are beautiful and serene. So much to see and experience, it felt like being in a different world. The host is very accommodating and provided everything we needed to make our stay great. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway and place to recharge.

With pets
Patrick was great, place is great. As we were pulling in Patrick was up in the treehouse installing an air conditioning unit because it has been so hot. So glad he did, it was over 90 degrees throughout most of our stay. Appreciated it so much.

Weekend Trip to The waŋblí tipi
We had such a good weekend in the tipi! Kadyah is a fantastic host - very responsive and kind. Check in was simple and quick. The campsite is woody, toilet clean and convenient. There are many amenities in the tipi, we had everything we needed. Kadyah even made sure we had plenty of bug repellant options so we could enjoy the outdoor space. We used the SUP and kayak for a little paddle out on the water and that was very nice. This is a great camping option!

Can’t get enough of this place, learned more about the history of the land, met some awesome, interesting people and I finished (started more lol ) writings.
I would recommend this for band members/managers and vendors instead of spending money on hotel rooms, for festivals or events.

The Farm Dome was. Perfect space to escape the noise of the city without having to pitch your own tent. The bed was so cozy, the space was beautiful and the hosts were so kind. Bonus points for the animals!

MorningStar was a great place to write and reflect… you get to experience the seclusion and mellow summer nights while also being close to the luxuries of city life when you run out of supplies. People have mentioned the train in the comments, but its been part of the experience, that rail has been going uninterrupted for 150 years and is part of the rural Michigan landscape, it’s own kind of nature that you get to hear/see/feel. After the first couple trains, it blends in with the wildlife with glimpses of colors and letters through the trees, like a deer walking an edge line. I would definitely recommend this place for any artists whether you work alone or with other people. Plenty of other camping options available just a short walk through the woods from MorningStar.

Weekend Trip to Thousand S.’s Land
A thousand percent hands down would return to Thousand Suns ,the host was accommodating ,the land was beautiful a thing to be admitted by the bonfire in the morning as deers run through the field as you sip your coffee, hearing hawks distinct voice overhead as you travel through the trails of the property or the laid back serenity depicted by the aura of the Morning Star Camper , a blast to wake up and see turkeys and chickens running around as you open your eyes after a rest there ,by far one of the most enjoyable camping trips,highly recommend a place to travel to,top of my list for a nice getaway for the weekend from the hustle and bustle of the city.
